oh. i get about STA/STB program..

but.. why Type 61, which are final Product of STA program, ended one tier lower as prototype one?

is STA1 better than Type 61..
if STA1 better, then why STA2 is choosen as basic of STA3 and STA4 that lead to Type 61…

im confused…

So basically at tier 8 you have the end product, the Type 61, then at tier 9 you have the initial prototype, the STA1.

As far as I can tell the STA1 is bigger, but has a rear transmission system. Also has a weaker engine than the Type 61.
