All those guys up above, having a laugh at the yanks.. The unditching beam concept is about as old as the tank, they carried them on the British “Tank” (actually they also had a big ass fascine [bundle of sticks], to fill trenches in). Why fix what isnt broke? First time Ive seen it in action though, so thx SS

Hmm… that must be a T-80.. not much Russian Tanks were built with Gas-Turbines and put to service (some were trial Projects only – cos the Turbines were not reliable enough, compared to the prefered Diesels)

Still nowadays i think a Gas-Turbine belongs to an Aircraft, but it’s not really suiting as a Power-Pack in a MBT – too complicated/complex Airfilters – and too high uptake rate (see M1A1 Abrams) – i think the Leopard2 has a far better Power-Pack overall.

Why bother building nukes?

Put guidance system on log and shoot it at enemy. Go through M1 abrams frontal armour like hot knife through butter(except it’s not real butter because Americans are all on diet).
