Church Commissioners control £3.9 billion which produces an annual income of £164 million, and up keep on 12,500 listed buildings runs at about £900 million per year. Government funding runs at about £42 million per year, hence the constant appeals for money. Some one like Abramovich has £8.52 billion in comparison and rates 9th on the Sunday Times Rich List. Now if your looking in the UK for an organisation that stole from everyone else, maybe look to 10th on that list and the Grosvenor family at £8.5 billion.

PS I am not a member of the C of E and believe in the separation of church and state. I am somewhat equivocal about the £42 million out of taxes, including mine, going to the C of E.

The Church in England has nothing to do with the other Church that does happen to be all over the world. But I do agree that they are both pretty rich.
