Except for the fact that tanks drifting and rocking like in WT is even less historically (and mechanically) accurate than the WT E-100.

Also the turning and gear shifting in WT is like the tanks have two transmissions (one per track) with no clutch or brakes (or the moron driver doesn't know that the clutch and brakes exist) and to change gears or turn you have to try to slip the gears into or out of gear when the gear teeth align, which is mechanically inaccurate/impossible.

But hey let's bring broken mechanics from WT over to WOT and it's "quality programming" and see how well things go.

OTH - I totally agree w/armatage. When you stop a tank it rocks like a MF. W/o stabilization you have to wait for a stable sight picture.

It isn't hard to 'drift', especially in the right terrain - let alone fast. WT makes it extreme, but a little butt-twitch is what WOT needs.

Hell no!
If I would want to play the shit WT:GF I would play that, not WoT.WoT logic: let's implement the new system and f*ck up: all the sidescraping, the peek-a-boo situations, the fast medium tank driving, the lights already drift...Oh and even lower speed (for the Maus downhill it will be so fun, like trying to stop in 200 meters...)

If the devs want to drift, create the next game: World of WarThunderTanks. Then they can drift freely, just don't fuck up WoT even more.

I used to drive a Bombardier skidder as a job. It's as close to a tank as most civilians get. At high speed and no load when you turn, you get a bit of drift. Look at the cleats on the track as skis when viewed from the side. They are only designed to provide major traction going forward or backward, not sideways. When you turn, they act like sled runners. WT is actually more realistic as far as driving a tracked vehicle without modern rubber cleats. That being said, since I know what to expect, I enjoy it more. Most players will not.

Yeah, solid barrels would be so much fun.
Imagine having to turn your Jagdpanzer IV180 degrees, drive backwards through a wall and then turn around again before the enemy starts shooting at you.

Want solid barrels? Join the army.
