Okay, checking the stats… this thing will weight 35 tonnes and have a 520HP engine. That’s pretty much the same as Type 59. Now, they’ll probably give it worse ground resist to make it a bit slower, but I don’t think that this thing will end up being terribly slow.

Especially since it will have worse turret armour compared to Type 59, despite the stronger hull.

the turret is ineffective against it’s own tier and above, so effectively the turret wouldn’t be amazing at close-medium ranges, at far ranges maybe a little so as you said, 7 degrees of gun depression saves this tank from just being a t44 with a decent hull.
