Oh trust me it’s as mobile as a Type 59. The acceleration phase is a bit hard maybe but after that it’s nice.

It follows a dedicated scout/anti-scout, and judging by the leaks so far, it will precede a dedicated scout. So for crying out loud make it a bloody scout! What else there is to do? Now it’s just a Panther, but worse, with it’s sub-par gun and infinitely worse matchmaking. And don’t get me started on a moron who thought “Let’s make it a battering ram on tracks! This will be fun!”

I would tend to agree with you. The people who complain about snipers just don’t want to climb out of the comfort zone provided by their cushy, inaccurate Soviet heavies–or tanks ill-suited to ranged game-play. And while brawling as it is requires a great deal of quick thinking and instinct moves, it’s often overlooked that the people who excel in this form of engagement lack the restraint, patience, and macroscopic tactical awareness crucial to being an effective sniper, artillery, or support vehicle.

And referencing Perkele, “Why don’t you go and play GF instead of wanting to make WoT what it’s not supposed to be” — War Thunder’s Ground Forces provides a poor arena for ranged combat. There are few tanks in WTGF that can manage sniping even adequately, outside of which, the only way to destroy enemies is to seal-club bots, play large vehicles with the tendency to one-shot most other tanks, or play close ranged to be able to strike and weaken a tank with successive shots to the same point — impossible from a distance with the game’s spastic/”realistic” beta physics.

Afk. Panther is a light tank allright, but its not a dedicated scout. It definitely should get normal tier VII matchmaker.

AFK 38d was pretty poorly armed, basically same as the Puma armored car.
There’s a design of a Jagdpanzer 38 hull with a Panzer IV turret but it would be pretty slow, basically a tier V or VI stretching up.
