LEGO is by no means cheap, and to do it at a level that I have, has require plenty of time, and even more money.

The tanks are by Brickmania, the guns are by BrickArms, and some of the German soldiers are by Citizen Brick.

Polish company Cobi offers a whole series of military bricks compatible with LEGO
It includes tanks as well (Tiger, Panther, Sherman, Matilda, T-34)
