Pretty much every time operation Talisman saber/sabre or RIMPAC comes around the RAN’s Collins class diesel subs take great pride in getting close enough to photograph the props on the Nimitz class carriers without getting picked up. plus a few years back one of them actually managed to sink one of the Nimitz class (simulated during joint exercises of course)
