Way back, the top was Tier-4 for lights and 8 for SPGs.
When they found enough tanks to arrange the arty to their equivalent tiers, they did so.
So, if they had enough light tanks to fill up to Tier 10, they’d certainly fix the trees again and adjust their matches.

they should get each tier balanced and equal and have it all the same, except for premiums which get preferred as part of being a premium.

I just really dislike the fact, that T2 LT really struggles to pen even back of tier 4 meds and it has worse mm than normal tanks even when it is premium. What for? To be scout? With 260 m vierange and 325 radio range? Not even talking about how this whole “scouting” stuff is broken in game atm.
