You can always check signs at the front of vehicles – first two (carrier and armoured car) “belongs to” Reconnaissance Regiment of 43rd (Wessex) Infantry Division

SilentStalker, youve fallen for the trap of thinking all vehicles with a star are american havent you? It was standardised allied marking during the second half of the war.

Earlier in the war UK and Canada used the same roundels as on planes. Canadians tended to paint the star at a different angle to differentiate themselves from americans.

Interesting…the Armor Journal posted a vintage photo of a Pz.III Aufs. It was! But bad weather for photographs. A mist all the day, but the sun was shining and a lot of shadows in the forest. I did my best with my poor knowledge in photography.

The reason it doesn’t look like a Kuebelwagen is because it’s a Horch Kfz. 11 I believe. There were a few variants but a quick search says the 11 had a tow bar (it was towing the 20mm FlaK 30 around.
