Any number of reasons. Some people just want a reason to bitch. I think it’s pretty damn cool looking and have made it my wallpaper, since the FV4202 is my baby.

Gas turbine, spits out a *lot* more heat than a regular piston engine.

That said, Tank engines are big, that engine deck is going to be warm to the touch no matter what kind of engine its using, definitely warm enough to melt any snow.
