Stop the enemy from moving so you have a chance of hitting weak points with your derpy main gun.

To an extent it is pro-Western propaganda, but the Soviets are also portrayed with ‘badass’ weaponry; the Allies have modest light and medium tanks but the Soviets have heavy and super-heavy tanks, both double-barrelled. What a dilemma.
