Helicopters come up a lot in the document tbh. And both the US and Germans were heavily investing in them at the time. As for attack aircraft and anti-tank aircraft from other parts of the document the emphasis is focused on aircraft in the same thought as the A-10 and other ground-attack aircraft. With what amounts to hope that such things could be done with vehicles that could hover like an helicopters.

Well, if you change the word aircraft into helicopter, that and the folowing paragraph is spot on.
I mean it is basicaly helicopters like the apache in this section, and the usage of huey’s and blackhawks for transport/insertion/evacuation in the next section.

Besides, where helicopters at that time not referred to as some kind of aircraft?

That was surprusingly accurate.

I mean sure the flying tank/aromored aircraft isnt exactly accurate, his idea was essentially ground attack aircrafts like the A-10 and the SU-25.

Also, I can’t help but giggle at this :)
