Object 260 Mission To Be “Complicated”

Hello everyone, as you probably already know, in 9.5, individual missions (IM’s) are coming. What exactly are IM’s? Well, they are (supposed to be) missions, tailored to each player specifically (different from player to player). Based on which criteria and how exactly will it look is not known. In any case, what was published – in December (possibly early January, since in order to unify the “festivities”, Wargaming is focusing on the New Year day and not the usual western “Christmas” dates), we’ll get to see some individual missions with exclusive tanks as rewards (these include the T28 Concept, T55A and Object 260). Check this out: Here, Storm comments on how the mission will look. Apparently, getting the Object 260 (which is the ultimate prize) will be “very complicated” and the mission will be split into multiple stages the way the IS-6 mission was. This Storm’s comment led to some rage by a player (the screenie is his, thanks by the way), who claimed that this is a bad idea, since he won’t have time to play hardcore every day the way it was required for the IS-6 missions and that “difficult” should not mean “tedius” and “no life”. Evilly (WoT producer) reacted on his post, stating that he should in fact wait for the missions to be announced, before he makes any judgements – he adds that it’s too early to tell the details. His words however do give us hope that for once, Wargaming did not mix “difficult” and “tedious”. Should be interesting.

Object 260, T55A and T95E2 Videos

Hello everyone, here are the Object 260, T55A and T95E2 videos. These were made by notable Russian video makers on testing accounts, lent by WG for these purposes. Obviously, I can’t translate the commentary of the player (nor do I want to, it’s quite subjective), but suffice to say, I’ve seen these vehicles in action on the test server (courtesy of certain supertesters and their sharing of “feeling” of the tanks”). – Object 260 is generally liked, it is VERY maneuverable (faster than some mediums) and the frontal armor is very nasty. Generally, it’s as good as the IS-7. – T-55A is awesome, it works as well as the T-54, no big surprises there. It’s surprisingly mobile. – T95E2 has very nasty frontal armor, but in general, nothing much – Panther 88 (not on videos) is just a Panther II for most intents. It’s slow, sluggish and the gun has relatively poor depression. Not the best tank around, wouldn’t buy it based on current info (but hey, without proper testing, it’s hard to say).

Straight Outta Supertest: Object 260, T28C, T95E2 Finalized Stats

Hello everyone, finalized stats (when it comes to supertest anyway) of the reward vehicles made it to the supertest. These vehicles will apparently be the rewards for individual missions, that are coming in 9.5 and will be obtainable by anyone, not just clan players. The changes were as follows: T28 Concept – side armor rounded up from 101 to 102mm – hitpoints nerfed from 900 to 880 – aimtime nerfed from 2,1s to 2,3s – ROF nerfed from 6,74 to 6,45 Tier 7 premium TD Hitpoints: 880 Engine: 960 hp Weight: 70 tons Power-to-weight: 13,71 hp/t Maximum speed: 29 km/h Hull traverse: 18 deg/s Armor: 203/102/50 Gun: 105mm T5 Damage: 320/320/420 Penetration: 181/224/53 ROF: 6,45 Accuracy: 0,4 Aimtime: 2,3s Viewrange: 370 Radiorange: 570

Straight Outta Supertest: Object 260 and T28 Armor

Hello everyone, you asked about the Object 260 and T28 Concept armor layout, so here it is. Notice several things: – the mantlet of Object 260 is only 250mm thick, unsloped and there is nothing behind it – Object 260 roof is extremely thin – the T28 Concept miniturrets on each side are only 101mm thick (note that the T28 Concept gun traverse is 30 degrees on each side with cca 4,5 degrees of gun depression)

Object 260 Errata

Hello everyone, about the last post with the statitics of the IS-7 prototype, Object 260. As you might have figured out, the pictures are not leaks, they come straight from Wargaming. Unfortunately, Wargaming released that wrong, the Object 260 characteristics are placeholders. The vehicle characteristics were changed as such: Penetration from 225/265/68 to 260/340/68 The frontal turret plate is 350mm (as the post says), but that’s just a really small part. The mantlet is 250mm thick. And so, the vehicle has following characteristics: Tier 10 HT Hitpoints: 2100 Engine: 1200 hp Weight: 61,3 tons Power-to-weight: 19,57 hp/t Maximum speed: 60 km/h Hull traverse: 28 deg/s Hull armor: 150/150/70 Turret armor: 350/240/100 Gun: 122mm BL-13-1 Damage: 390/390/465 Penetration: 260/340/68 DPM: 1903 ROF: 4,88 Accuracy: 0,37 Aimtime: 2,8s Turret traverse: 26 deg/s Viewrange: 400 Radiorange: 720

Straight Outta Supertest: Object 260 Model 1945

Source: http://world-of-ru.livejournal.com/3540513.html An upcoming tier 10 Soviet heavy tank (possibly a CW reward, not a regular vehicle). It’s IS-7 prototype, in case you wondered :) These are garage stats, not 100 percent crew stats. The ones in brackets belong to regular IS-7. Tier 10 HT Hitpoints: 2100 (2150) Engine: 1200 hp (1050) Weight: 61,3 tons (68,19) Power-to-weight: 19,57 hp/t (15,39) Maximum speed: 60 km/h (59,6) Hull traverse: 28 deg/s (28) Hull armor: 150/150/70 (150/150/100) Turret armor: 350/240/100 (240/185/94) Gun: 122mm BL-13-1 Damage: 390/390/465 (490) Penetration: 225/265/68 (250) DPM: 1903 (2148) ROF: 4,88 (4,38) Accuracy: 0,37 Aimtime: 2,8s Turret traverse: 26 deg/s (25) Viewrange: 400 (400) Radiorange: 720 (720)

Of Individual Mission Rigging

Hello everyone, the individual missions have been around for a while now. Many players have their StuG IV’s already, some have the T28C, some have the T55A and more than a thousand (on RU server anyway) have Object 260. I am sure many of us noticed the change in gameplay style in randoms, occasional retarded behavior of a player, who wants to complete the mission at all costs and all that. It was to be expected and I am sure Wargaming counted on it. But there’s another really serious side effect the individual missions have, the rigging. Rigging is a process, during which the players on both teams, instead of fighting one another are working together to complete the mission objectives, screwing the rest of the team in the process. The most notorious mission to be rigged (as far as I can tell) is the last mission of the heavy tank series, where a lot of bounced shells is required. The standard rigging process of this mission looks like this: – you take three (or five, works better) friends (clanmates) and form two platoons – you wait until very late in the night for the best chance to appear in the battle together – you coordinate (via Teamspeak for example) it so that both platoon leaders click “battle” at once (simply by counting down on TS). In late night hours when very few players play, the chance to appear in one battle (on the opposite sides, one platoon each side) is very high – you meet on some spot in the battle (preferably without witnesses) and you shoot each other’s tank strongspots (frontal turret, mantlet, spaced armor parts) to accumulate as much “damage saved by armor” as possible. There we go, mission done!

20.1.2015 – Big Storm’s Q&A

Before we start – one thing. I have to optimize FTR operation a bit, but I don’t want to sacrifice things I (and you) like, so I’ll sacrifice something I don’t like. From this point onwards, no news on World of Warships will appear on FTR. Based on the things from the alpha test and the last public test, I do not have faith in the game, I do not like ships and I do believe it’s a niche product, that will end up better than WoWp, but not by a lot. Sorry. But there’s some public test again, good luck with it. And now, back to tanks. – it’s possible that there will be new perks, modules and consumables, but it’s not guaranteed they will come this year – no free FV4202 premium? “No comment” – currently, WG is reworking WoT audio under to the “wwise” system, unclear as to what will it mean for WoT players – the spawn point distribution (as in, how vehicles are placed within the spawn area) are chosen so that they are evenly distributed and balanced – the issue with small objects of houses (like porches, stairs) being undestructible – this will be reworked, but not soon (during “complete content overhaul”) – AMX CDC is still being balanced, it’s too early to judge it – WoT will not have a separate subscription-based server – Storm states that the nostalgia after old patches is just the effect of human memory of remembering only good things. The reality, when comparing them to the current state of the game, they suck. Not so long ago, WG was “testing” an old version of the game (6.0 or something), it was terrible.
