Of SU-76i Once More

Hello everyone, by now, you are surely already aware of the fact that SU-76i was removed from the shop. Hmm… why do I keep writing SU-76i, when it’s SU-76I? Bad habits I guess. Anyway, right – about the removal. There are bits and pieces we can put together. It took cca 40 hours to collect the SU-76i statistics on Russian server – essentially, the Russians had it 24 hours longer than us (their patch came one day earlier). From what I can tell, first feedback that it was not such a bright idea started arriving to the developers after a few hours of the patch day. The vehicle appeared in somewhat large numbers on its tier and Yuri Pasholok noted around noon on his blog that the vehicle might be overpowered (he reports 100 percent winrate in 14 battles), at which point he likely contacted other WG developers, who in the meanwhile started realizing what happened and started paying attention to the vehicle statistics.

SU-76i Removal from Shop Confirmed

Hello everyone, thanks to Edrard (Wot-news owner) for this information. SU-76I was indeed officially removed from the premium shop. This decision came from Minsk. Here’s what a Russian representative told Edrard about the matter (private conversation): “In short, we introduced it into the shop, then we saw the statistics after first few days and came to the conclusion that the tank is not suitable for selling. We will remove it from the shop. Everyone, who bought it, can calm down, it will stay in their garage. We will think further what to do with it. There is no information on when it will return to the shop, we will think about what to do.” As I told you, it was OP and therefore it was removed. Oh well.

SU-76i Removed from Shop

Hello everyone, not so long ago (not sure when exactly, but I’d say about half an hour back), the SU-76I was removed from the shop on all servers. The reason is unknown (either they are preparing re-release with proper announcement, a “whale” package, or the vehicle was OP, as the reports from Russian server suggest).

SU-76i In Premium Shop

Hello everyone, as announced in the 9.4 release post on the portal, from today, new Soviet tank destroyer SU-76I is being sold in the premium shop. Surprisingly enough, Wargaming didn’t even try to harpoon the whale this time with outrageous bundles, but what is even weirder is that there is no grand announcement on the portal either, as it usually is with new premium vehicles. The price of the vehicle is as such (vehicle + garage slot): EU server: 6,75 USD RU server: 5,2 USD US server: 7,19 USD

SU-76I On EU Server

Hello everyone, I am sure you’ve all seen the portal news at this point, but just to make sure you don’t miss it: on EU server, the SU-76I will be sold from 6.11.2014. No news on the same matter for US and ASIA servers, but I think it’s safe to assume that they won’t stay behind. So, who thinks the SU-76I will come in some ridiculous expensive bundle? I am thinking something like that: Bundle 1: “Milking the Cows” – bazillion gold + SU-76I (FOR FREE!!!ONEELEVEN), only 40 EUR! Bundle 2: “Shearing the Sheep” – bazillion gold + Super Pershing + SU-76I (FOR FREE!!!ONEELEVEN), only 60 EUR! Bundle 3: “Harpooning the Whale” – bazillion gold + premium account + Super Pershing + TOG + SU-76I (FOR FREE!!!ONELEVENZOMG), only 80 EUR! Well, let’s see if Wargaming surprises us.

SU-76I Being Sold On RU Server

Hello everyone, you probably know of the SU-85I, right? I mean, it’s been released some time ago. But now, without any fuss, Wargaming is releasing the SU-76I premium tank destroyer (tier 3). As far as I can tell, it’s available only on Russian server (in SD, of course). Uncharacteristically for Wargaming, the vehicle is available “just so”, without some crappy bundle noone wants, for 5,2 USD (yes, five dollars). This is how it looks (courtesy of wot-news):

SU-76i tested on EU Server

Hello everyone, as you know, Russian supertesters can be sometimes encountered lately on EU server, testing the roaming feature. They usually use more exotic vehicles: we’ve seen the T95E6, Grosstraktor and now the SU-76I as well. Thanks to EiKarramba (who sent me the pictures) and Opop7 (who made them), much appreciated.

E-25 Possible Size Nerf

Hello everyone, if you read the FTR evening QA regularily, you might have noticed one thing: Storm admitting that the E-25 is way too small. Or – to be specific: he did not admit it, he just listed the ingame client sizes. The thing is… those sizes do not match the bible of German armor design, the Panzer Tracts series of books by Hilary Doyle (who – in case you don’t know the name – is the most respected authority on German wartime vehicles in the world). Let’s have a look at how the sizes compare number-wise: Ingame width according to Storm: 2,78 meters Real width according to Doyle (PT 20-1): 3,41 meters Ingame height according to Storm: 1,75 meters Real height according to Doyle (PT 20-1): 2,03 meters Ingame hull length according to Storm: 4,5 meters Real hull length according to Doyle (PT 20-1): 5,66 meters But how would such change look on the model? Well, Pantheist (EU) made a comparison, using the numbers above and made a model of how it would actually look, if the vehicle was made larger.

Fog of War Stream Q&A

Source: http://maiorboltach.livejournal.com/31767.html Hello everyone, yesterday in the evening, Russian Galaxy TV hosted a “Fog of War” show with Aleksei “Orc” Plotnikov (a WG developer, responsible for Clanwars) and Maiorboltach did make a summary again. Here’s what was said. – develolopers are working on missions for Clanwars. There are two types: for beginner clans of the “get certain amount of XP during landings”, “get a province with income higher than X” or “hold province for X turns” and for strong clans, such as “capture province X in Y turns”. They will be rewarded either by gold or by “other stuff” – developers are not planning for now to introduce assist damage for knocking out enemy player’s engine – current 9.6 test round has a bug not allowing you to activate medkits or repair kits. It will be fixes (SS: it was hotfixed this morning) – the clan portal is constantly being developed, for example recently they added the stronghold info
