StuG III and IV in Czechoslovak/Syrian Service

Source: http://warspot.ru/6088-stalnoe-nasledstvo-tretiego-reyha Hello everyone, here’s a post based on Yuri Pasholok’s excellent article on Jagdpanzer IV and StuG III in post-war service. So let’s get to it. Hmm – I wonder if I still remember this interface :) After the war, several hundred of knocked-out or simply abandoned German SPGs were left on newly liberated Czechoslovak territory. Some of them were mostly just wrecks, but some of them could be repaired and pressed into service. This is not new – in fact, I actually wrote an article about StuG’s in Czech Service. Before we continue, I suggest you have a look, as I won’t repeat some of the facts written with it.

Rita’s StuG III Ace Tanker

Hello everyone, just felt like posting this – two days ago I platooned with Rita and while I sucked in that particular battle, Rita did an ace tanker with her StuG. I just felt like posting this, as it was a really good battle.     Seriously though, I thought the term “banana” for the eastern corridor was well used. Or was it on RU server? Can’t remember.

Finnish Independence Day Parade 2014 with StuG and Anti

Hello everyone, yesterday was the annual celebration of the Independence Day in Finland, related to the date of 6.12.1917 – thus making Finland 97 years old this year. As a part of the celebrations a military parade took place, featuring some rare pieces of equipment, including the Finnish StuG III and the Landsverk Anti vehicles.     According to an accompanying article in Finnish news (thanks for the link, Nalle), the StuG is really thirsty – its fuel consumption is cca 150 liters per 100 km.
