180 mm flat turret front is comparable to the near impenetrable 200 mm rounded turret of the type 59? T-34-2 has a better turret than this thing. While the turret is not terrible, The only thing really impressive about this medium is the hull armour. It will outperform the T-34-2 and T-44 when they don’t fire premium, but what doesn’t?

A flat 180 mm turret front isn’t all that impressive since the mantlet is the same thickness with nothing behind it, the T-54 lightweight presumably has a better effective turret. The T-34-2 has a better turret as well. It will still be better than the T-44 of course, but the T-44 is a lost cause that get’s by on ridiculously low matchmaking weight.

It will definitely be overpowered against IS’s and IS-2′s, but then again those tanks are pretty terrible for their own tier when compared to the T29 and Tiger-P who won’t have trouble penetrating this thing’s turret. Tier 7 mediums will suffer, but tier 7 mediums are by average pretty much exp-farms for any good player, unless they load lot’s of gold.

So, Yes. It will be overpowered compared to the T-44 and T-34-2. But I doubt anyone but tomato’s will fail to penetrate the turret mantlet of this thing. The turret sides are the same as the Tiger II, nice and flat with unimpressive armour so it won’t be a hull-down monster on tier 8 like the Type 59. It isn’t nearly as fast as the Type 59 either.

Basically, this is like a better version of the current tier 10 FV4202 on tier 8, a turret that isn’t hard to penetrate when you know where to shoot with for it’s tier very good hull armour.

glad they nerfed it, i might mean it wont get nerfed when it goes live. still and instant buy for me, need a premium med thats fun to play.

As long as the armor doesn’t get nerfed (I’m okay with a bit of mobility nerf, but not much), then this is still an instant buy for me.

Guys, dont worry about MM, you all can cut down its T9 and T10 mm by playing teambattles tank companies etc..

Not nearly enough. Right now it’s above Type 59, which itself is greatly OP, compared to standard T8 meds. But a balanced russian premium tank is the last thing the devs want, who would buy it then ?
