it turns out that the leaked December/January mission list is invalid – WG simply made a bogus one and they did let it leak. Happens. The upcoming missions are quite different from the leaked ones. What was leaked:
6.12.-9.12.: “Winter Wolfpack”
- x3 XP for first victory
- 30 percent discount on tier 6-7 regular medium tanks
- 50 percent discount on tier 5 regular medium tanks
- 30 percent discount on Panzer IV Schmalturm and M10 Panther
- deal at least 1000 damage in battle while surviving in a tier 4+ medium tank, get 50 percent crew XP bonus
- destroy at least 1 medium tank in battle in a tier 4+ vehicle, get 50 percent crew XP bonus
- destroy 50 medium tanks (repeatable) in a tier 4+ vehicle, get 10 gold repair kits, 10 gold medkits, 10 gold extinguishers
What is actually coming:
6.12.-9.12.: “David and Goliath”
- deal 1500 spotting damage and survive in a tier 4+ light tank, get 50 percent crew XP bonus
- deal 1250 damage in a tier 4+ heavy tank, get 50 percent crew XP bonus
Too bad – considering the previous mission leaks were reliable for months now, I was really looking forward to it, mea maxima culpa. But then, we should have not expected Wargaming EU to be THIS generous :)
As long as we get bonus conversion rate for xp during xmas I dont care too much :D
I am sad about no medium tanks discount
I suspect that is not all. There are few weekends without Crew or first win bonus.

If you think back, a (certainly non-trivial) mission for +50% crew XP in just two classes of tank would be the weakest special I can remember this year.

But it this way, can you think of one special in the last 2 years as weak as that proposed revised one?
Probably not, but then, it’s Wargaming. Nothing’s beyond them.
Maybe this is their way to identify the insider (assuming he really exists). X slightly different missions for X different people. If mission 1 is published in FTR then person 1 is guilty for cooperating with the enemy and so on.

I don’t think it’s possible if they are WG stuff. People talking about job so they would know that something is wrong. I suppose they have got one big mess before Christmas, New Year and develop 9,5 because even on official website was mission “Kill 3 enemies and cause 1500 damage get 40 000 credits mission can be repeat many times” but they deleted that post and was no mission like that.

That you are providing the info we would love to see on the portal?
And by leaking wrong info only to discredit you they harm themselves even more – especially IF they leaked really great specials – I already planned what I should focus on for the month and a half – to then change them to weak ones.
Doing the opposite would be much better, but this way, they will only annoy a lot of people – who will still show up here looking for new info

If you go to the upcoming tab in the ingame missions menu, you’ll see that this is indeed what is coming, and it is indeed looking so crap we might as well just not have anything at all.

Ahhh bloody hell, I was really looking forward to mediums’ discount. Was planning to buy Type 58 and VK 30.01 (P) to start a few new lines. What now, keep hoarding credits for the inevitable Christmas discounts or buy the Type now to start grinding towards 110 earlier? Decisions, decisions. :P

Yeah I am keeping my fingers crossed for the discounts as well… I have 13 75, 50 100, IS-8 unlocked and am 30k’ish away from unlocking my T110E5 and I have 8 million credits at the moment…
But do we stil get those discount’s?

Why cant Whoregaming.net make real discounts at least sometimes?? I mean real deals, when you get for example 40-50-60% discount on a real fine in-game thingy like tier8 prem tanks or even on gold? I know wg is not charity, but c’mon many other companies could make cool black friday actions and they make profit from it. A good discount can be good for the seller and for the buyer too. Especially that wg dont have to give you real producted material like a TV manufacturer/distributor, they give us only pixels. Give us real deals!!! Shame, disgrace, ingnominy.
Not to mention the older players, with many-many in-game battles. Where are the respect towards players, who have 20/30/40K and so on battles?? I could imagine something like this: Hey fellow old tanker, thanks for your loyalty here is something cool for you: t8 premtank or some gold, or some prem time…… No…nothing.

Yeah, it’s perfectly possible that they can start to (or already have started to) give out different sets of info to different people to see what gets leaked and thus track down the insider. This can easily turn nasty for him.
And what about the 9 days of free premium? Is that fake too?!

They Should have called it 6.12.-9.12.: “Winter Warpack” since undoubtedly some of the WOT developers are in bed with the developers of the mod.
WG using ressources on screwing dedicated players instead of making sure people get reliable information….

Hmm… Looking at the difference between the leak and the actual missions here, I’m kinda-sorta suspecting our grind mission will not be for T-34-85M, but rather for the Grosstraktor.

Well I have not played for several months due to being very frustrated with the game in general but I was considering picking up WoT again for December’s specials.
Guess WG just nuked any real incentive I had to give them another chance between crappy specials and the crappy advent calendar “deals”.
Still me and my daughter are having relaxing fun playing Diablo 3 (with NO frustration whatsoever) and will shortly start on Shadow of Mordor (single player I know) which will carry us into 2015.
WG seem to forget at times that there is competition for our leisure time out there, even if it is not another tank game.
damn, i wrote here few days ago that i wanna buy m10panther and SS(erb) says wtf wait till christmas muhfuckaz!
