WG Shares In Danger From Being Forcibly Removed From Stock Exchange

Hello everyone,

once again, the same issue, that was once already mentioned in the past pops up. According to the Russian portal vedomosti.ru, Wargaming Public Company on Cyprus is in danger of having its shares forcibly delisted from the Cyprus Stock Exchange, because it does not fulfill several requirements a listed company should, one of which is not publishing its financial reports (for 2013 and first half of 2014).

However, for Wargaming, it’s no big deal and such a thing would not really damage them.

There are several reasons for that – one is that WG PC is not WG LLP, it’s not the publisher of WoT, “just” a distributor for the EC and Switzerland. Second – and main – is that WG never really intended to perform an IPO, its shares were private placement only (in layman’s terms, instead of offering the shares for public trading, they just offered the shares to actual specific people, who are the same people who founded it, including Big Boss Kislyi, Vladimir Kislyi and others).

Why did they do it then in first place?

Well, as you can imagine, the internet is full of speculations. Two theories that come up most often (the second is allegedly more likely) are:

- some sort of tax optimization (why not)
- an attempt to obtain Cypriot citizenship by the WG owners, which requires some sort of investment on Cyprus (in which case this would actually qualify)

Who knows? Maybe Big Boss likes the mediterranean sun, or is fed up with Lukashenko’s “paradise” and uncle Putin. Wouldn’t blame him.

  1. lol not publishing financial review for one year :) I wonder what are they still doing there they should have been gone for a while.

    • Actually they deserve it. Perhaps WG will rethink their strategy and remove RNG from all servers! I wont spend a single dollar on this game until they do!

    • I think Putin will reclaim Belarus as a ‘rightful part of Russia’ if Lukashenko gets too uppity, as he has supposedly been recently. Probably the only Russian invasion that Westerners might be at least ambivalent about.

Wannabe Western capitalist Kislyi is getting out early, and maybe with a suspiciously low tax rate arrangement to boot.

  2. Its certainly for both reasons. Victor Kysli lives, with his family, in Cyprus plus Cyprus is an acknowledged route for access to an EU passport.

    • Considering his blabbering about putting money about “konstruktink stronk raketz”, it is likely he has a couple bucks in somewhere.

  3. I would place my money on the fact that they could see how the west and RU might flair up again, and since their company relies on both countries (yes I know, EU and SEA also). I would imagine they would put their stocks/faith/hope into a neutral system. Even if the west went to war, they wouldn’t lose everything, they couldn’t be blocked from a whole country. ect-.

    • Its not that.Buisnesses go to Cyprus simply because of low taxes. My forex broker is based in Cyprus also.

  4. >or is fed up with Lukashenko’s “paradise”

Watch your dirty mouth while talking about a country you don’t familiar with. And yes, a couple of bullshit articles in pseudoliberal USA-controlled press don’t count as being adequately informed about a country. We’re perfectly fine here, in Belarus, and we don’t need a fucking EU/USA opinion about human rights/economics/politics or whatever in here. If you want to look into human rights issue, go and read the latest Senate Intelligence Committee report about CIA tortures and secret prisons.

    • Guess who still keeps the infamous KGB alive? Belarus.
Guess who still gives away weapons, cheaper than water and food? Belarus, with help of Russia.
Guess who has one of the most detailed censorship systems at Europe? Belarus, again.

No, you’re not good, not at all. Not until these “problems” are solved IMO.

      • Guess who still keeps FBI?
        Allows uncontrolled tortures?
Spends loads of money on army and violates human rights but still can’t prevent terrorists attacks from happening even if they were informed beforehand?

    • Yeh,,,,Belarus is a great place……………LOLOLOLOLOL
That’s why as soon as they can people leg-it out to where ever will take them.

Feel free to keep the shithole, it will soon be wiped off the map by Putin anyway

    • @blondie_ahead
“Watch your dirty mouth” Sounds like Nazi or other extremist scum trying to surpress other opinions… Sounds like fear.
That is a good example how it works in belarussia :)
      You are demasking yourself… LOL.
I think you or some of your family are working for Lukashenko’s regime.
And rest assured that you and your kind will belong to the first to “walk the plank” when the oppressed people of Belarus stand up for their freedom! ^^ :)
Be aware, EVERY single dictatorship in history has come to an end! And most of the time it was violent a one! A lovely example : The Ceaușescus. They got what he deserved :)
Ok, “enjoy” your “paradise” as long as you can. Could be over soon :D Hehehehe :)
