Leopard 2E in Motion

Thanks to Adam C. for the video (guys, when contacting me, leave some nicknames!)

Hello everyone,

basically, it’s some Spanish TV show or whatever, not too interesting. What IS interesting however is the end of the video, where (starting from cca 9:00), you can see the Spanish modification of the Leopard 2 (Leopard 2E) driving around. Leopard 2E’s full name is Leopard 2A6E (E as in “España”, Spain). It was produced between 2003 and 2008 with 219 built. It’s a significant upgrade over Spain’s previous 2A4 and M60 battle tanks, carrying a 120mm Rheinmetall L/55 smoothbore, 1500hp MTU powerplant and new type of composite armor, capable of reaching 68 km/h. It’s expected to stay in Spanish service until 2025 along with the older Leopard version, as current financial situation of Spain does not allow for notoriously expensive armor upgrade programs.

And no, you won’t see it in WoT :) Armored Warfare on the other hand….

    • How sad that the topic you know from Spain is more like colombian… Spain is a beautiful country, you should know it better (to do funny jokes about us that actually make some sense).

For a spanish you sound like like: “hey, british, go carry democracy to Iraq mounted on a cangaroo while eating burgers!”. A fucking mixing of topics from countries that were part of the british imperium, but makes no sense for a british.

      • Don’t be so butthurt. Who cares if Span is a beautiful country or not? Or if Colombian soap operas are completely different then Spanish ones? It was a funny joke, get over it.

I for one would love to see the British go carry democracy to Iraq mounted on a cangaroo while eating burgers – with a dozen Kiwis in the luggage.

        • That’s the point, it’s not funny because it makes no sense. I’m half french and laugh a lot about white flag jokes. I don’t know, make jokes about our stupid kings or who knows… I’ll laugh if it’s funny. I’m not buthurt because a joke, but because of the nonsense.

  1. These are youtubers, the most famous and annoying ones in Spain. A pity I have to watch them in order to see Leo 2E. Didn’t you have another video? :(

    • More like a short made by sony pictures spain in order to promote fury, taking advantage of the youtubers’ charisma and number of followers

  2. It’s not a TV show they are just somewhat famous youtubers, which as a Spaniard myself can’t find them entertaining or funny at all.

      • you aren’t missing anything special. Looks like they know nothing about tanks, since they only say “holy shit!!!” and things alike.

Basically they watched Fury, and impressed by the film, decided to ask an officer if they could crew a tank.
