Hello everyone,
The Russians managed somehow to get their hands on a method, how to get “free” codes. Basically, they figured that when you enter a bonus code in following order:
EU8nxxnx
where n is a random letter and x a random number, you can redeem a code for your existing account. Naturally, I went to try it. From 5 attempts (then the system kicked me out for inputting too many codes in short period of time), 4 said invalid code and 1 said that the code was already redeemed. That means the code works on EU server too (Russians probably “stole” this way a bunch of codes intended for EU, since the code starts with EU). Examples of codes already tried:

So – if you want to spend an evening figuring combinations, go nuts :)
Do you happen to know if it is “legal”? Or are we going to get a ban or something for trying too much codes?
Banned? No. It just won’t work. I once or twice tried to input many codes during one screwed EU event, nothing happened.
what about those who use the codes, is there a potential for being banned?
What for? That you input a random number into the bonus code window? Of course not. Even with such hints the chance of getting is right is not that high anyway.
I think they meant that if you start inputting bonus codes and you succeed but these codes were meant for some future event which isn’t announced yet and WG finds out you got the bonus, wouldn’t they ban you for that ‘steal’ ?
You know full well that WG operate under WG law, just look at the extortionate charges they make against people who’s bank transfers fail.
I’d rather stay away from stealing from WG. Companies like this do not take kindly to people trying to outsmart them. ;)

They don’t seem to care about it, so long as it’s RU players stealing from OTHER servers, but the moment you steal from the RU server…

Are the example codes, codes that worked?
If this happens to actually work also for codes that are not free (i.e. a boxed copy or something like that), then you’d be stealing from other players, not from WG – and that’s bad in anyone’s book (I hope).

So true. I would be pretty pissed if i would buy/win/get a code legit just to see the message “This code has already been used”. And since you cant do shit against it you are officially screwed.
I hope those codes will be part of some WG special, so people can get those legit, too.
The code apparently gives you a Valentine LL tank and a slot. I don’t think those are sold anywhere.

Yeah, fair enough. I just read that below as well. I just meant that it is still for sale here. Either way it’s not of too much consequence to me as I got one a while ago due to a personal ambition to acquire all British tanks in the game regardless of which nation’s tree they’re in. Last weekend I even bought an IS-6 JUST so I could get the Tetrarch that was bundled with it..

Even though if there’s enough people who have the same problem it can become what’s known as a class action lawsuit, and in THOSE cases things are much more in favor of the plaintiffs than the company being sued.

Well, I tried 5 times, all were incorrects. I think that it is possible to get working code if you just guess, but you are really lucky if you hit. And I don’t really need that LL Valentine, so I will not try more. And of course you can hit some code that works, and it might give you almost everything, WG probably has some really weird codes that nobody has ever used.

If people worked together on what codes did work we could find a pattern.

Well…
Random number generators are just really complex equations that come up with a different number every time you run them. They work by starting with a “seed,” a number that is always changing (like the time) and then taking that number and sticking it into the equation, thus resulting in a different, almost random, number every time.
So if we knew what WG seeded their RNG with, and if we could figure out what equation they are using, then yes, we could predict the RNG in wot. But, it’s not like it would be that useful, since the RNG probably doesn’t grab the seed until you pull the trigger, so even if you knew what the RNG roll would be, you wouldn’t know far enough in advance to actually use that to your advantage.
Anyone knows if they work on NA server?.

Thanks, I got Valentine II with a garage slot and 300 gold. Just tried one randomly generated code after another and the 24th worked. Of course I’m not posting here the code that worked, I could be easily tracked down by WG and somehow punished.
Oh and by the way – there is the limit for 5 codes every 5 minutes, but you can enter the codes on world of warplanes website too witch an independent limit ;)

346,112 possible combinations when 1 and 0 and excluded. Number of codes is certainly no more than 10,000, which would give you a 2.89% chance per redeem less any codes already redeemed. Obviously the chances are lower if fewer codes were issued.
It seems that every letter that is randomized must be an consonant. Have you seen an code with a vowel in it?

Try somethng else, 1, 0, I and O are not used because of similarity when printed, that might be a key.
You’re right. It’s the same as with e.g. MS windows/office serial numbers. Characters which would be ambiguous aren’t used.
Until you find out the pattern all codes will get redeemed :D

do u remember what happened 2 years ago on november, the 800 gold code that could be used all time, do u know what happened after this epic fail in WG, a few weeks later came the epic fail of T127 bonus code, that could be sold and purshase again. They simply don’t care. This thing goes on RU servers for a week on a much higher scale. From all these unsecure codes players got about two months of premium time and 2500g or so.

You cant get banned. I mean this kind of codes is given away in forum competitions or on WG events. How can you distinguish which code has been used “properly” and which not.

All codes seem to have at least 1low digit number.
Based upon the above list it seems that codes are clumped into sets. It also seems like there is a limited number of letter options for both the first and second letter. Numbers add up to 11-21.
7 is not the first number at least it does not show up yet.
F can also be a possible first letter, at least i got a used code with that first letter. for now, still no luck.

What he is saying is that you can now use the code only once per account. Second time even if you have good unused code you won’t be able to redeem it on the same account(to get 1k gold and slot since you already have the tank in garage) because they’ve disable it.

Haven’t tried, earlier comments have conflicting information, some say yes some say no; though usually with these kinds of codes, you cannot redeem more than one code of the same set…
already put imacros on it with a 30 sec delay and it seems you dont have to wait 10 minutes every 5 codes if you input at every 30 sec

I think they have indeed blocked it so that you cant redeem the Valentine twice. Yesterday I got 2 codes: one gave me the tank and the second one gave a gold compensation. Today, however, it says I cant redeem this type of code on my account. Gave it to a friend (same server) and it worked for him. So, I think that kinda confirms it :(
I have 2 codes in 800 tries or so. Took 7 hours almost. Both redeemed on same account. First time gave the Valentine + slot + 300g, and second time 1000g + slot + 300g.
Its so tiring though.

It’s not the POS, it’s the Activate Bonus Code name which gives problems. Try this one (i’ve recorded it myself and it works):

Hm, 8th pass and no error, two scripts working , one on wot and one on wop sites. Below stop button there is a a max.window for loop times, i typed 255 and clicked rerun(loop).

change 1 to 250 or some other amount of codes that you have in your csv file…look at the columns (SET !DATASOURCE_COLUMNS 1)

And I run on couple of used ones too.
I don’t do it totally randomly dough, but follow a pattern – take one code with specific letters and try all options with digits 2-9 in last spot. Sooner or later you will get a working code in that alphabetic area.

No, same Valentine one, it just gives 1000 gold as compensation for already existing Valentine instead. That M3 Light code IMHO is too complicated to be cracked so easy :)

Just got mine, I do like the valentine so far. It lacks pen but it only gets tier 4, so take 5 prem rounds and you are good to go. I have 12k profit mostly without premium.

I can just chuckle at the possibility of these codes being for an event or a contest, and just imagine the s*itstorm which would break out when people would get “code allready used”, but tbh if someone was to, say give me 10000 codes i admit i would use as many as i could, it’s fascinating to what lenghts a man’s greed is magnified when faced with a prospect of getting something for free :p

From my own “pool” of data there should be a lot of codes left if you know how to narrow down the search and not just “try them all”. Nobody can send anybody codes as you have to try them to see if they work. But from the codes posted I know what “series” to try my luck at to get one. The problem is that is a pain in the butt to go and try a specific fraction of the codes.

21 known starting letters
Letter with most so far is Z with 5 codes.
Suspect around 3k to 7k total codes based upon there being 300k possible combinations. Based again upon the current “rough” odds from those finding a code.
So for 3k codes we are looking at 142 codes for each starting letter. (21)
We make it an even 150 and we get 3150 codes. (Its not like they need 10k codes so everyone can have a not that great Tier 4 LT.)
So with 3150 codes out of 300k combinations we get a reasonable and verifiable (from reports) 1 code in 95 attempts. The 300k is a round number as Achibot pointed out.

Is there a way to log the results of iMacros… I have already used two codes on my one account, so I have macros running for a third, but in case it finds a usable code and its not usable a 3rd time on same account, I can’t track it.
