IS-6 mission is in the EU client

the IS-6 mission is in the client already, listed in future missions from tomorrow, under the same conditions as FTR reported. Basically, you have to get 100k XP in a tier 6 vehicle in order to get 3 days of premium:

….and when you do that for every nation, you get a free IS-6

There is a time limit of one month for this mission (from tomorrow, 16.12. to 16.1.2014). As a bonus, from 20.12.2013 to 23.12.2013, you will get a double for all battles, no matter whether you win or lose. Not bad :)

But as for the IS-6 mission: it’s certainly a great gift and I appreciate it. But I won’t be running it – apart from the obvious fact that with FTR and other things around World of Tanks I do, I don’t have time to grind the XP necessery for this. I also believe that Christmas should be celebrated in peace and not by furious grind, but I also understand that for many players, who otherwise don’t have the money to get a tier 8 premium tank, this is the way to get it and I wish all of you best of luck!

  1. The X2/X3/X5 WILL count for the 100k exp mark. But to have a valid battle you must be in top 10 in your team sorted by base exp. The mission isn’t THAT hard considering that xp modifiers will count.

    • I have to correct you on this one, sorry.

      Random battles only.
      Being in your team’s top 10 in terms of experience points gained
      To determine the top 10 XP scores, only basic XP will be counted (no first victory bonus, premium account bonus, etc.).

      It states this for EVERY nation grinding towards 100k exp per vechicle of a certain nation (ONLY BASIC EXP).

      • Read again and again and again and again until you understand. If you want your exp to count for the 100k mark you MUST be in top 10 by base exp in that battle. IF you are in top 10 then your buffed up exp will count.

        • A, yea, it makes more sense and is kinda doable as well. But it stucks for the Japanese tree, since it is not out yet (probably at start of january I persume), and everyone starts from scrach there (unless you have bunch of free exp to unlock t6 instantly). Otherwise, with multipliers…. doable but still hardcore, especially when it is holliday time, which means relax time, which means time for actual human beings to socialize with.

          • In my opinion we might get the japanese tree even next week.I mena we are already on test 2…

          • Lets see, you have to grind 100,000 XP on tier VI tanks of each country – that’s 600,000 XP for the trees currently in game. And you don’t think anybody will have enough free XP to grind straight to tier six when the Japanese tree goes live? Even though they just ground 600k?

            Jeez, that’s practically enough to unlock tier X instantly, let alone tier VI.

            • An average player not spending any money should be able to complete the mission in around 4000 battles. Less if they can stay out of the bottom 5 by exp.

              • 700 000 divided by 4000 equals 175 average?
                Considering that premium account and x2/x3/x5 count only a bot would need 4k battles.

                • Bots dont gona be efective in this event, since bots dont do nothing in game and there is always 5 players in both teams that dont gona work for this…

                  Only way to bots be “efective” its to play always scout and rush to enemy base to get XP by spoting…

                  Only problem in this event its the chineses and japs, premium tanks dont count right? if yes i would get type 64…

                • According to vbaddict average per battle for tier 6 is 300exp, average player will be half the time in the bottom 5, so half his battles won’t count and will have to grind the whole Japanese line from scratch.

                  12 hours a day including queue time and countdown should see him through with Xmas day off.

  3. It’s kinda brutal that they included the Japanese tanks, as we’ll get about a week lesson them, you need the Tier 6 before you can start and there is only 1 Tier 6 available. And here I thought the Chinese would be the tricky bit!

  6. Well, the easiest way to finish this mission would be by doing your x2/x5 battles.

    You can get 2 X5 battles this month, that’s about 10k exp from 2 battles. You’ll have to gather only 90k. Without the x5 days it will remain about 28 days to finish the special. In these 28 days you will have to do about 3250 exp per nation (about 2000 exp can be done just from the first win). That’s only 23000 exp in total/day. (<- including the first win)

    It's far from impossible, in fact it's quite easy, a lot easier than the 50kexp for 1 premium day mission.

    • Certainly it is far from impossible.

      Pretty easy I would say IF you play tier 6 EVERY day.

      Miss one day, especially one where there are bonuses and it becomes harder.

      Miss more days (i.e. have a life which does not revolve around playing WoT) and it becomes exponentially harder.

      • Well it will require about 2-3 battles per nation per day…for someone who plays wot daily won’t be such a big problem…

        • Oh yes, and assuming the Japanese mission works properly you will have about 2 weeks to do that and only one tank, so no extra doubles. On the plus side it’s school holidays so you’ll have plenty of kids keeping you company.

  7. Shame I don’t have enough money to buy all of the tier 6 tanks I need for this mission. :/

    At least, I can get the rewards for the sub-missions, those prem days sound very nice. :)

    • If you have one tier 6 then you should easily make the money to buy the others just by playing.

      If you have nothing better to do then you could do one nation in a few days meanwhile making enough cash to at least buy a couple more tier 6.

      • My problem is I have no chinese tier 6 researched.I came to the type 34 and just decided to screw it…

  10. I’m glad they removed the lowest 5 xp earners from counting. That would remove any bot trying to get the tank

    Wrong! You have to get 100k XP on all tier 6 vehicles of a nation. Definitely easier adding double XP every day for each of them

  14. Pretty easy mission, especially for good players and those who were finishing the daily 50k exp mission(me, yes, i know, i’m a no-lifer).
    Only thing that bothers me is that we also need to do 100k with the japanese one which isn’t even out yet.

  15. to all of you who think they can’t make it to the IS-6:
    you’ve got a whole month to complete the mission, and even if you’re quite busy and don’t plan to play every day, just think about it like this:
    if you manage to play only 20 days within this month, you will only require 5k XP per nation, which should be achieved with 2-3 victories easily. so, what pains me here is to make room in my garage for suitable tanks, not the grinding time it’s gonna cost (although French, Chinese and Japanese tanks might become buzzkills).

    “you have to get 100k XP in tier 6 vehicles of a nation in order to get 3 days of premium”

  21. It nice for a lot of people, but for me just buy the it stright off is a lot easier save sometime and lot of furious grind

  22. Looks like WG anticipated the high influx of AFK players or bots. Good that you will play better to be in top10 xp earner just to be counter towards the mission

  24. So much whining on the forums about that mission. It’s the best mission they’ve ever had and all the stupid whine is gonna make them not make another mission like that. Again hypocrisy from players who wanted hard mission and special rewards.

  25. I could do this but i really dont have the time and i could easily just buy it when i get paid next but i do have a lot of time off this month i dont know what i will do problem is the new Jap line dont have any Chinese tanks, British

  26. hahaha, I rather work 2 extra hours to get IS-6, 40$~ per hour, is far from hard for me even i’m only apprentice.

  27. I think this is a noob question but do you need to turn off the Accelerate Crew training to farm this 100k exp in one tank or it’s still ok to use Accelerate Crew training and WG will do the stocking of the XP for the players.

  28. Sad thing about this mission is that its done brought out the bots/idles.
    I just had a match with 7 nonplayers!…
    Guess they are wanting to max out their tier6 tanks before they actually play them ;( ..

  33. after a day of grinding I see the main problem of this event (which also is the major flaw of WoT itself): player-retardedness, which no discount or event ever can compensate for. because instead of just getting the maximum amount of XP out of a battle, people seem to pursue the tactic of playing 5.000 battles for 20XP each to get their 100.000XP for each nation.

    feels like it’s going to be a rather sad holiday-special…
