Hello everyone,

so, according to the article above, a student from Altai, Russia built a tank from snow and ice. That by itself would ba hardly noteworthy, were it not for the quality of his creation. The student claims his tank is even of correct historical size. So, what do you think? Must be a WoT fan :)

      • stock SU-101 is probably worse, 175 penetration with -2 gun depression, horrible amount of hitpoints, its armor wont do too much either

          • I’ll take your stock ST-I and raise you a stock E50

            88 L/71 with slower ROF than the Tiger 1, plus a stock engine that makes it slower than an E75.

            Actually it’s probably improved these days with its terrain passability rework, and I dd grind the ST-I without unlocking th BL9 first, it probably was worse. But the stock ST-I is a sexy looking tank so it gets a free pass.

              A stock E50 is more appealing to me since it has at least a 200+ pen gun and an actual accuracy as well as some mobility to work with average armor. You know, I won’t be tackling your personal tastes but I’d still go for stock E 50 for number of reasons.

              • The E-50 can’t even mount the 88 L/71 with the stock tracks, so you’re stuck with the 75 L/100

        • with su-101 you can still scout, flank or use Gold to dmg tier 8ts.. but in case of stock ST-1 you cant flank, scout or use gold effectivly against tier 9s and above

        • SaintCaboose, 175 pen bad for T8? Some of prem tanks have it as the only/top gun and people don’t cry about that. Tons of other tanks have to grind via that gun too, and at least I have never seen that as a problem..

          • Some of those t8 prems have turret, gun depression better than -2° and HP way above 1k while 101 has 990 and paper armor btw. Your way of judging tanks is shit and you should feel shit.

      • That’s not the problem, it’s a med, meds are mobile enough to flank opponents and position them self easily to shoot at sides and rear of other tanks. Meds can be good with sub-par penetration.

        • SU 101 is basically a Med without a turret. I really enjoyed it (never played it wit the stock gun though). The A44 -that got rage sold, couldn’t find any redeeming features on that one.

  12. When I saw him standing in front of that ice tank with that chain saw It was mixed feeling of pity and embarrassment. Is this what the backwater redneck Russians do in their spare time. I like tanks and I like to play wot but this….. >_>

  13. Oh gawd. I’m currently ~30k from unlocking 122-54 and even here you are shoving 101 in my face :D

    • It’s a great tank.

      I put camo paint, camo net and camo crew in, and try and snipe out of view range for while, then later in the game play it more like a med.

      Never ever try and fight over the brow of a hill (you will lose). Rather stay at the bottom of the hills and shoot them as they come over.

      • It’s not bad tank. In it’s own tier it can be quite fun. Still requires much higher skill and map knowledge than other tanks. What i’m trying to say that it’s rather limited TD and due to it’s cons it’s not really easy to play. Speed and DPM is quite good, but still in high tier battles you are basically 2 shot for any tank(1shot for jgpze100) and you will need lots of gold ammo to be effective and even the regular ammo is quite expensive compared to shitty alpha and penetration. I don’t hate the tank or grind with it, but it’s not really impressive either.
