World of Medvedev

Via SerB.

For those of you unfamiliar with Russian politics, Dmitriy “Nanotolievich” Medvedev is the guy that kept Putin’s chair warm for a while and pretended that he wasn’t Putin at all. Apparently Putin still keeps him around as the lovable clumsy George Bush-like oaf to his cruel and calculating Dick Cheney, so Medvedev gets to talk about things once in a while. Like in this video, where he’s talking about something tedious. No one really cares.

The interesting part is around 4:06 when he’s showing off a portal for government services. Zoom, enhance!

“forums.worldo…”? Hard at work, eh, Dima? Maybe this explains where all the budget for the Olympics went!

“That explains it all” say the comments. “He was tired after a late night landing zone.”

  1. Off topic but about WGL finals :

Na’Vi didn’t stop camping in all their battles… Maybe they are the most skilled team (about intelligence and strategy) but PVPSP and Batman just brought me so much fun ! Na’Vi battles were emotionless with freakin’ camp until draw…

But the problem is how the matches WGL tournament were made, i didn’t understand all, but they were favorising Draws. I hope they’ll rework it, at least on draws
(Same for the bunch of huge fails such as the one on bonus codes system that must have been managed by rookies or don’t know what, but that was bullsh*t, and i won’t expatiate on the ultra fail where russian people managed to use all the codes before their publications, etc…)

    • If you don’t assign points for draws, you’ll have to replay matches, but that prolongs the match times too much. You could also punish them for passive play, but you really want to kick out a top team out of tournament, just because somebody camped on them too hard?

And NaVi actually tried a lot of active play in finals, they got back to 1:1, they tried to cap in game 2, they played quite actively in the final game (I’ve seen much harder camps on SR Assault on public). The only issue was the middle two games – but in those Virtus Pro camped along, really.

      • Make it an assault mode for every battle, 2 attacks and 2 defences each. For the last battle the team that did more damage gets to choose if they want to attack or defend.
At least the attacking team would have nothing to lose and would push hard as drawing out would not be an option. There would be little change for the defending team though, as most of the teams camp or play for a draw on purpose anyways. No one stops them from being aggressive though.

        • Or follow the system that WG ASIA has.
Passive play = Disqualification under Caster’s discretion.

  2. Why reference Bush when it’s been Obama’s incompetence that has brought us to this dangerous return to the Cold War? Everything Obama has touched has gone to shit.

    • I wondered the same, especially since The Bush administration (regardless of its seemingly endless faults) had extremely good reputation and relations with Putin’s admin during that time.

        • I recognize the point, and I would also agree that it wasn’t maligning. My only point was, during Bush’s admin (Or Cheney’s depending on who you ask), Russia did not posture itself so aggressively nor did the US posture so weakly :)

      • Why can’t both of them be bad though? Bush would still fuck it up, and its exactly the good relations with Putin that would have still made him march into Crimea without even doing anything.

Also Bush is so hilariously terrible that trying to shift the blame onto Obama just makes you look dumb.

        • Poor Obama, so incompetent and ineffectual that after 5 years Bush must be blamed for:
          1) Gitmo is still open
          2) Patriot Act is in full force
          3) Putin making Obama bail out of the Poland Missile Shield.
          4) Putin embarrassing Comedian Mom Pants after Mom told him he would be more flexible after his reelection.
          5) Obama leading from behind
          6) NSA snooping on everyone
          7) this wonderful economy with more people unemployed, more on Food Stamps, more in poverty
          8) gun owners need ID bracelets but voters do not need ID to vote
          9) IRS targeting political enemies
          10) White House paying women staffers less than the men

          And that’s just a start …

          • Half of this was Bush’s fault, and the way congress being a complete and utter joke is whats really keeping the points you listed from changing, it doesn’t matter who runs the country at this point.

Also voter IDs? are you serious? Tell me, do you think those literacy tests for minorities fair too? maybe we should bring that back???

    • Despite Obama’s incompetence on Middle East the Cold War would come sooner or later. Some things are inevitable and Lenin is still on the Red square.

  3. Most probably not his own PC but some of the producers or other tv workers captured of his own pc.

  4. You think he has time for grinding? Go ahead and calculate how many hours you spent grinding to that tier X. Then go grab that bottle of vodka as you sit down for another 4-hour-long tank session.
