Quite a lot, actually. There were some modifications that were totally waterproof, even, IIRC.

He initiated the Maus restoratin project and I am pretty sure that picture is in the game just because of that fact. Those guys are proffesionals – many of them make a living out of it. Given these circumstances, would you agree, that they play to win? As a proffesional, who wants to win money, would you pick a tank, which has the highest chances of winning? I bet you would. And heres the kicker: How many German vehicles were picked during the entire WGL tournament? How many Russian were picked?
Tier 8 is overall the most balanced tier in the game and yet absolutely no German vehicle was picked in the WGL finals (they tried Borsig once or twice, but failed horribly). Would you agree, that the reason why German tanks were not picked is because they are simply not as good as the Russian / American / French tanks? If they were better, they would surely be picked and the pros would have owned with them. How is Wargaming reacting to this situation? Well, they are not. German tanks being crap is what they are happy with. Thats the way it is.

No. That logic couldn’t be further away from the truth. German tanks aren’t picked in pro leagues because they don’t fit the playing style. Example:
In Team companies, Pershing rarely gets picked. That doesn’t mean it’s a crap tank, it just means it’s not good for playing against other teams consisting of TIGER IIs.
So all tanks are balanced and good in their own area, but certain game types need some type of tanks more than others.
Pros pick IS-3s for example because they have a decent gun, decent armour and mobility, and are therefore more flexible, because a Tiger II may have better armour and gun, but it’s slow and in the pro league, where everyone fires gold shells armour doesn’t matter anyway.
But in random games, a Tiger II can hold it’s own much better than the IS-3 (Which, by the fucking way, got nerfed).
And what playing style do the Germans fit? :D:D:D Its World of Tanks, dude. Apparently, they dont fit any playstyle which would result in winning. :D Also, how are team battles different from the format in WGL? The are the SAME. Only difference is, you dont know the map beforehand. But then again, KT would get picked on at least some map, but it wasnt.
Also, I dont know what are you smoking, but KT is not even remotely close to the IS-3 in terms of power level. I happen to own both of those machines and have hundreds of battles in both of them and I can safely say that even in random battle the IS-3 is far, I mean faaar superior to the King Tiger in EVERY way. Like, not even in the same league. Tiger has CRAP armor, it takes about 140-150mm of average penetration to easily kill the KT frontally and ~190mm to punch through its goddamn TURRET. Plus you get engine fires and shit. For an IS-3 you need roughly 180+mm of avg. pen, since the lower plate is actually a lot toughter than the UFP. Turret is, unlike the stupid Tiger, an auto-bounce zone (unless youre in facehug and can shoot the roof). Side armor is also vastly superior in IS-3′s case, thanks to more thickness and spaced armor. It is also a lot smaller and harder to hit in general. I have also no idead how you came to conclusion that the IS-3 was nerfed, because it wasnt. There were no changes to it, apart from the remodeling a couple patches back, but that did not influence the battle effectivness of this vehicle in any way.
SOme people have 4 skill IS-3s… of coarse they will use them.
We got our M60s and 7201s with usage of Tiger 2s on maps we knew beforehand. When a person that is GOOD with Tiger 2, has a GOOD crew and is on a map which FAVORS the Tiger 2, it can and will pwn.
And no, TIger 2 is IMO better then IS-3.
My win ratio in IS-3 : 51. My win ratio in Tiger 2: 60-61. And I play like a retard, W + LMB = WIN.

-Face it, specialist vehicles have a place in WoT, but will almost never be used as much as non-specialist vehicles. Example : US heavy tanks and E-100. E5 is almost 100% a workhorse tank. E-100 is the BREAK THEIR faces tank.
- You kinda defeated the SOVIET bias yourself. From what I see in CW, usually it is French/USA vehicles that are the most used/put in the most important roles.

Was looking at the 2 pictures. IMO it’s not filched. The location the picture was taken from is exact, but the shadows are different. I doubt they would bother altering the shadows if it was indeed “borrowed”.

What happened to the copyright post?
Was looking at the 2 pictures. IMO it’s not filched. The location the picture was taken from is exact, but the shadows are different. I doubt they would bother altering the shadows if it was indeed “borrowed”.
