  1. What is the gun on Canadian Sherman?

The muzzel break doesnt look like Firefly gun, so this is M1 variant prolly as the barrel is pretty long?

      • Doesn’t seem so. You can clearly see the 75mm M3 gun on the Sherman Crab – the barrel is pretty short with no muzzle break. The M4A4 DV has much longer barrel WITH muzzle break.

But it looks a bit different then M1 (76mm) guns, hency the question i asked.

  2. SS isn’t that a Leopard C1?

Those tanks looks so good I live quite far away from Borden but the are two M4s near my house that I like to fr time to time.

    • That’s what the sign said. We are not tank engineers. I assume they know what they are talking about.

  3. The Churchill is a Churchill I not a Mk IV – 2 pdr main gun, early turret and 3″ hull mounted howitzer.

The Vickers Light tank is a Mk VIb – Vickers mg, 1 piece armoured louvre over radiator and circular cupoler.

    • Sign said Mark IV with a 6 pound cannon infantry tank. Don’t know what to tell you. We just took pictures of all the placks.

  4. iirc that renualt is one of the first two renualt purchased from the USA for scrap metal prices to form canada royal armoured core in the early 30s before ww2 started that was recently restored

  5. In the last couple of photos, is that Vickers V1c model with a 40mm pom-pom gun? To bad we did not get that model as a WG gift.

    • This one they did not write much about. Just said WW2 Vickers tank with twin machine guns.

    • Its a Vickers VIb with 0.5″ and 0.303″ Vickers MG’s – none mounted the ‘pom pom’

  6. Btw. The Italian tank is the only one of it’s kind left. That was cool to see. All the rivets were ground to points and there were a lot of them. Cool details.
