How to Remove the Anniversary Hangar

Source: http://world-of-ru.livejournal.com/3415222.html

Thanks to Awasaky from world-of-ru LJ for this one.

In case you don’t really like the “cool” hangar with a bomber going through walls – here’s how to change it back to the regular one. Unpack the following archives to res_mods\0.9.2 folder.

Regular hangar
Premium hangar

To return the modified hangar, go to res_mods\0.9.2\spaces and rename or copy the folder to “hangar_premium_WG_Bday”, for example “hangar_v2″ into “hangar_premium_WG_Bday”.

  1. No need. WG removed it them self. Its back to the normal one for everyone :) tho it will be back. If they can fix the drunk drivers.

  2. I was playing this morning and I had the anniversary hangar, that bomber driving through vehicles is ridiculous. It looks very bad. In Stalin times the marketing and design departments would have been shot for less, after Stalin they would have been deported to Siberia, these days they keep their jobs and maybe get a bonus for xmas. ;-)

  3. There’s always a way to manipulate hangars without any downloads. They are in res/packages/ folder. All you have to do is make a backup of the hangar package you want to replace. Then make a copy of the standard/premium hangar package file and rename it accordingly. Names are pretty easy to figure out. E.g. standard hangar is now called “hangar_v2″ IIRC, premium hangar will have word “premium” added and so on.

  4. The easiest way to remove temporal hangars is:
Open \World_of_Tanks\paths.xml with notepad or notepad++, do not use wordpad or MS word.
Scroll down and delete these lines:

    <Path>./res/packages/hangar_premium_15aug.pkg</Path>
    <Path>./res/packages/hangar_premium_WG_Bday.pkg</Path>
