Saints and Soldiers – The Void: More Videos

Hello everyone,

some time ago, I wrote (or rather Wargaming made videos) about the upcoming “Saints and Soldiers – The Void” movie about Hellcat crews being chased in the Harz mountains by two Panzer III’s or something (the movie really is more like about “evil white man vs magical black guy kept down by racism”, but at least it has tanks).

Part 1 of the “behind the scenes” series can be found here, part 2 here.

Part 3 of the “behind the scenes” series – this time about the Hellcat:

Part 4 of the series – about the crew actors

And some “exclusive clip”, if you are interested.

      • Try this… http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1270114/

There’s fookall at the moment, but it’s usually quite quick with info on new films..

There’s 1 “real” review from a prescreening.. quote;-
“Just went and saw this tonight at a pre-screening event in St George (Utah). Enjoyed the Movie it was pretty good for a low budget film. They had the tanks they used in this movie on display at the Air Show they did here a few weeks ago and did a reenactment with them which was pretty cool.8/10 Def worth a watch if your into world war 2 war flicks.”

        try other film review sites..

        Previous in the series.

        Saints and Soldiers (2003) score= 6.8/10

Saints and Soldiers: Airborne Creed (2012) score= 5.6/10

        • Forgot to say, the first Saints was quite good, I saw it a few months back, 6.8 is probably about right, decent, even Mrs D thought it was quite good, more about the soldiers and their plight, rather than bang bang blood and guts..

          Not seen the second…

      • Not that I do not believe him, but its useless still.
Only when I see it will I judge it.

Still, SS I do not get your snarky remark. It does not make sense to me :P

The first movie was very good BTW… cant believe they did it on such a small budget.

  1. Saints and Soldiers: The Void?

That name sounds like a shitty mod for CoD or Medal of Honor or something of the sort.

Medal of Honor: Saints and Soldiers: The Void: Rambo 3: Afghanistan: Valor of Heroes: Rise of Champions:The Tanks

    Yeah.

    • Can’t wait for Medal of Honor: Saints and Soldiers: The Void: Rambo 3: Afghanistan: Valor of Heroes: Rise of Champions:The Tanks 2: rise of the revengeance revolution

        • And what about the “Medal of Honor: Saints and Soldiers: The Void: Rambo 3: Afghanistan: Valor of Heroes: Rise of Champions:The Tanks 2: rise of the revengeance revolution… Return To Valhalla” version..??

That one has got helmets with horns on… any film that has helmets with horns on has to be good….

  2. Given that institutional racism pervaded every part of US society and the US military in WW2, I don’t see why you feel the need to be so snide about the topic itself.

    • No doubt true, seeing as black Americans for example were only allowed to be cooks in the US navy and the army has less than ten black officers.
Segregation was “officially” ended with Trumans executive order of 1948 (IRL though, a little later?)

But its perhaps the way the african-Americans (to be PC :P ) are portrayed quite often IMO; instead of being just as worthy as their “white” contemporaries, they’re are “better” (more intelligent/trustworthy/skilled). So the balance tilts a bit over to the other side sort of :P
Perhaps the filmmakers think they have to do it that way in order for “us” to understand the point?

  3. Slightly offtopic: which of of You bastards recommended me The Help as another blackxpoitation movie? I will not touch a chocolate cake in years to come :(
