Saumur Pictures (Part 1), Repost

This post had to be taken down yesterday to alleviate for excessive traffic on FTR. Reposting it today, with part 2 to follow later on.

Hello everyone,

about a month ago, a great tank presentation took place at Saumur and Rastaknight was kind enough to provide us with pictures. There are MANY pictures – too many to fit in one article, so I’ll split it into parts. First is the dynamic presentation – I am sure that I don’t have to introduce most of these vehicles.

    • No, frenchies got so many tanks on their own that can be implemented…. both regulars and premiums although only for low tiers, for high tiers we got only TD’s and meds, heavies require blue-print only prototypes.

Oh god I wish they add something next year! The french tree is so… left behind by WG

  1. Anyone know what the amphibious german car is please, as its not the usual Schwimmwagen I know and love.

Looks like the type 128, but sides don’t look right

    • I wondered too what that is…
Schwimmwagen Typ 128 was only longer than Typ 166, it had the same nose, the lenght was the only visual difference. It had a 2,5 meter wheelbase, the 166 had 2 meters.
Typ 128 was based on the Kübelwagen’s chassis.

By the way, my family had a 1943 Typ 166, and I was lucky enough to sit in it :)

    • if you love boxes i can give you a shipping box for free (in other words, i think the late war German tanks are ugly :/)
