‘Turretless Greyhound modification’
While it’s technicaly correct, so many of those were produced that it’d be nicer to use their official designation- M20 Armored Utility Car
Thanks, I will add it :)
The turretless Greyhound is called a M20 and the special force technical is a Chenowth light strike vehicle. ;)
God damn, that FAV (special forces technical) looks so badass
SS et al.,
This vehicle is a Chenowth DPV (Desert Patrol Vehicle) modified for export to S. America (fitted with a snorkel). It has the same VW engine and similar weapons mounts as the vehicles produced for the SEALs in the late 80s and run during Desert Storm etc. The cargo baskets are much smaller in this vehicle.
The company that made this car was in Escondido CA, but has since gone out of business. They made only 60-80 cars in the 3 seat milspec config, but made many more for racing – such as cars for the famous Baja 500 and the Panamint.
I talked to owner of this one since I recognized the car straight off – he picked it up in running condition for surprisingly little.
Did anyone else go? I ran into the Chieftain there – alas, his trademark black cavalry hat was not unique this time.
That Churchill looks like the back end of a Churchill Crocodile to me.
Nice spot, it has the connector for a fuel trailer. It also has the mk7 flanged turret and a round side escape hatch, which would probably make it a mk VII crocodile.
did u spot the Kazna guy in the 2nd M4 picture?
You mean the guy in the Punisher t-shirt?
Damn the Chenowth made me wanna play Conflict: Desert Storm :P
Strange thing to say about a military vechile, but that M29 Weasel is just cute. Bless the little thing. :P
