so, today, the M24 Chaffee Sport was removed from the hangar. In case you are looking for the equipment that was on it, it’s in the depot. Of course, with Wargaming being Wargaming, we can’t have it without a fail now, can we?
The crew was removed from the vehicle as well, but it was not retrained to the original Chaffee, as originally promised. The same issue happened on Russian server. The official answer was that the crew will be retrained later on and that the players are supposed to be patient. So, if you want that Chaffee crew on your regular Chaffee, don’t spend your credits or gold just yet and wait a bit, you’ll get it retrained for free.
i know i had the crew early this morning!
and i don’t really need it retrained for chaffee, i’m planing to put it on t49!
Same here. As long as they won’t take it off the T49 after training…
WG, you have until I grind the last 35k xp on my bulldog to sort this.
almost freaked out, my 3 skilled crew on my chaffee sport :O
i moved my existing old crew to the t37 from the m24.
What i did was threw out the crew and but Chafee crew in it the Race tank berformed exactly the same and i got all the xp i wanted for my chaffee crew
I thought the crews were being retrained to the T1 Cunningham?
And how do you retrain a 5 man crew for a 2 man tank? 4 commanders and a driver?
Exp is going to the T1, crew should be going to the Chaffee.
Let’s wait for update 9.4.

I just hope they will not fuck it up if someone will retrain them to an other vehicle… I am planning to buy the Jumbo this weekend (as it will be 30% on sale, and it is time to get that T29), and I was planning to retrain the Chaffe crew to it (they will be 80% (tank class change) with credits, instead of normal 75%). I just hope that after that WG will not reset them to the Chaffe some time into the future…
The retrain will work like every other retrain they did in the past. Any Chaffee sport trained crew will switch to regular Chaffee. If you retrained them then they will not be touched. The game does not keep a track of previous vehicles a crew has been in.
wana: and how do you know that Jumbo will be on sale, is there a special calendar leak out there? :P
Btw, it took a while for the T-62Sport commander to be converted into MS-1 too.

Are you going to grind to the T29 with your Jumbo? If so, I hope you have enough free xp for the gun, otherwise, please don’t…
To unlock T29 via Jumbo, but grind 90 mm gun in M6 first. I have T1 unlocked, and will buy it in two weeks (when will be on 50% discount). The thing is, that I do not think I will like T1/M6, and will try to skip them as fast as possible (thus not grinding T29 on M6). The reason being that I was never afraid to be against these tanks, and if I played arty (Bishop and FV304 say hello) these two American tanks were my favourite targets after Churchills… That deck is just huge and easy to penetrate.
And as I like American mediums, I want to kill two birds with one stone. I just wonder if the second turret on the Jumbo is worth considering. I will but it obviously, however it seems to be so far less armoured.
Thanks for clarifying! Just glad you have your sense with you. I’ve put my T1 Heavy on hold for a while, just so ineffective even at tier 6 at times.
Can imagine an arty getting a good feeling when they see one of those decks, and even when you splash their side “armour”. T1′s gun feels really bad at times for me as well.
Never was that interested in the American meds, but then I had the M4 unlocked already, don’t want to play the M3 again, so decided to buy it on discount the other day, and now I want to get stuck in. Meds are my style so why not.
I already retrain the Chaffee sport crew to my T37. So, hope they will not retrain them back to the Chaffee!

Is this really so hard? Search thru a database, find all crewmembers with vehicle ID = Sport Chaffe’s ID and replace this ID with regular Chaffe’s ID? It should be one simple SQL query….
I too fail to see the problem here… They could just us the normal weekly server reset for that (is it on MOndays?).
This is WG – they need 10000000 USD and 1000 programmers to do this.
When we had the football we had to await the patch before the crew got retrained.
And what if the barracks was full?
They will still be put in the barracks but you won’t get any more slots, your barracks will be at over capacity. You won’t be able to move one guy out and another in until you make some room.
They go in with “temporary” spaces which vanish when they are moved.
Temporary spaces – one big bed for two strong Murican tankers :P

I think I’m actually going to retrain all of the Chaffee Sport crewmen as commanders for all other american light tanks, if they have enough extra xp after retraining (for credits) that they can have a 100% sixth sense
really? how come its possible to retrain the crew to all commanders? I guess i missed something…..
You are a LONG way away from being able to do this. They have not implemented the way to change crew member roles.
