Wargaming Fuckup of the Day

Thanks to Flametz from US forums for this one. Check this out, looks like this Pershing collision model is missing something…

persh

What could it be, what could it be… oh, that’s right. The entire fucking turret!

Luckily (for us), this is not the real Pershing from the regular US branch. If you look at the name of the model – this is a special “Korean” Pershing. These vehicles with Korean letters in their name are special vehicles for Korean server only. They are used for internet café’s and can be rented for a price. Basically you go to the internet café (big thing in Korea, not so much elsewhere), rent a tank and play. So yea, I am sure the Koreans are thrilled.

And yes, I checked the real Pershing model, it’s fine. I still can’t wrap my head around it, how on earth is this crap happening? A random developer just goes around, deleting parts of models or something for the lulz? Oh well.

  1. Well.. at least the EU,US and RU servers are fine for a change.. and WG seems to be somewhat better this year for Christmas.. at least that Christmas video was nice and cute…
And the 9.5 update went smooth with improvements and new features.. for me at least.. anyone else?

  2. Hilarious, this tank is impossible to kill when hulldown by anyone, EXCEPT the arty.

Maybe that was intentional, to show that arty can be useful sometimes? :D

  3. If this thing made it to regular servers I’d buy it in a heartbeat. Hug hills and no tank can kill you >:)

  4. Are you sure about the “tanks for Korean market” thing? Those tanks with PC in beginning actually have _igr suffix in their internal name, aren’t those the special tanks for IgroMir?

    • igr stands for internet gameroom, in korea this is quite common, they don’t usually buy gaming PCs, they just go there and play. Most games, including huge ones like blizzard’s, include special stuff for them.

      So, he’s probably right.

  5. “big thing in Korea, not so much elsewhere”

So your just ignoring the rest of asia, south america, the middle east and south africa?

  6. Hello, SS. I’m a Korean server player. I have to point out that those tanks are not for rent for money or something, all you need to do to get those tanks are just pay a visit to internet cafe ( which have contracted with Wargaming Korea) and turn on the WoT, they automatically rent you tanks for a month.

  8. out of topic:
hey, can anyone check does the Maus armour still bugged like what SS post a few post back in live server? thanx

  9. Actually SS, currently pershing isn’t on the list of internet cafe tanks here in Korea. Maybe it’ll be added in the 9.5 patch, which is due Dec 30 here. So it is not a real fuckup for now.

  10. It’s not deleted, but moved inside the tank hull. You can check it with the same Tank Viewer.

  11. It is an exporting bug… as they export the model, they might have selected the parts wrong, and then they didn’t check the exported mesh afterwards.

  12. Everyone seems to think this is a mistake. Could it be deliberate? An invisible buff to make people like using the cafes, maybe. Most people don’t look at collision models and so would never notice.

  13. Haven’t checked in Tank Inspector but there is something fucky with the Grant and WTF 100 collision models too.
