Wargaming Visits Arsenalen Museum in Sweden

Source: http://kris-reid.livejournal.com/715795.html

Hello everyone,

Wargaming representatives recently visited the Arsenalen museum in Sweden to start cooperation with the museum and to measure and take pictures of some of the vehicles there. Here’s what one of the WG guys there photographed. As far as I know, WG representatives were pleased with the how pleasant, forthcoming and understanding the Swedish museum staff was, including the director of the museum – well, that’s Sweden for you I guess!

And yes, if you are wondering, they are working on putting together a Swedish branch. As far as I know, it’s a backup branch just in case the Czechoslovaks don’t work out, it might appear in 2016 though.

Much to my surprise, I could name only like half of these without googling – how many can you recognize? Some are easy, but some…

  1. There’s some pretty cool armor in that museum…I spotted a few of what looked like Panzer I variants, a Hetzer, a couple of Marder variants, a T-34 of some sort, a Universal Carrier, and a bunch of others.

  2. In picture 17, I would think that has to be an ultimate Dalek (I’m sorry couln’t get it out from my mind). EX-TER-MIN-ATE!

  3. I think they missed one interesting shot: Facing that Sherman firefly is a full scale Tiger 1 replica, which isn’t that interesting in it’s own, but the fact that the Sherman is pretty much the same size as the Tiger is.

If only they had taken that picture…

    • Akv 151, will probably become the Swedish tier 9 arty. Could fire 14 shells under 45 seconds from its 15,5 cm canon.

        • Tier 10 would be Bkan 1A, Akv 151 is the prototype version of it. It could fire tactical nukes, but I doubt we will see that in game.

          • Lol!!! Imagin 10 000 dmg 100m splash shells!
SerB, pls, April Fools 2015, make it happen. Even if its only for 1 day. I want to see the tears of the rest of the players in the match, as i not only 1 shot half the other team, but half my team too. Pls SerB, think of the chaos you could make.

P.s. ive not played a clicker for at least 3 months, so no, im not a scumbag, i just think this would be incerdibly funny for a day or two.

  4. When was the last time Sweden was involved in a land war? Excluding recent anti-terrorist operations… wasn’t it like….1814?

    • Well Sweden has troops in afghanistan and figthing Talibans. Then we had troops in Kongo during the 60s and fought other retards that tried to kill civilians. But I guess the last offical war was against Norway during 1814 yes.

    • My granfather was a Strv 74 commander.
He has also helped Arsenal with texts about the nearby regiment’s history, Södermanlands Regemente.
