Insider Talks: Of the Fate of IM Riggers

Hello everyone,

the Insider returns to tell us what the developers are considering for the people, who rig the individual missions.

The developers are well aware of the issue of rigged battles and are concerned with it. The people, who rig battles, will not only have their rewards removed, but already do recieve a seven day ban. No defense is admissible to the verdict, as they – to quote one of the developers:

“talk out of their ass justifying any form of match rigging by the terms of handicapping enemy or allies or purposedly changing in any way, mentioned or unmentioned by normal map battle dynamics”

Furthermore, developers consider “rewarding” the riggers with a lifetime ban from any individual missions (they will not be eligible for any rewards). According to developers, there is plenty of time to complete the missions legally and the riggers often are greedy kids, who just want “it all right now”.

But of course, that’s WG RU… WG EU – a different story completely. Did you know that you can’t write a ticket about game rigging on EU server?

Capture

Well, now you do.

        • he is a turkish guy, but i did not understand how it is related to be muslim or indian about WG support’s suck. french or german supports does not suck?

WG EU is based on paris, are you guys aware of that? it’s just an english speaking guy working for WG, nationality is not important, or religion.

      • I am from India and I can assure you, even though we have some very ridiculous sounding names… that one up there, thankfully, isn’t one of ours. Plus Indian customer care extends mostly to “dial for support” platform. I am almost 99.99% sure that this reply wasn’t shot from India.

      • Maybe he is a German- or Frech-Turk having a well paid job at WG EU.
Boris Gaganelov sounds Russian to me. So you are a fan of Putin, right ?

  1. I tend to play late at night and already report those who rig battles or teamkill people. I don’t think it matters at all, same guys are playing around next night and next week. WG EU should make a stand here like their RU counterpart does, to make breaking the rules less appealing.

  2. “But of course, that’s WG RU… WG EU – a different story completely. Did you know that you can’t write a ticket about game rigging on EU server?”

Hopefully, this will change soon, if your mentioned “changes” will affect WG EU server policy. Also, don’t forget the fact that there are no forbidden mods on EU server as well, a slap into the face of each and every honest player.

    • They don’t intend to change in my opinion
Either they can’t or they just are too lazy to do anything

      • I agree.

Every time I ask EU Support about anything now I get no helpful response, generally a “No, we can’t do anything that means we have to do some work” or words to that effect.

NA Support on the other hand have been far more helpful.

Seriously WG EU are pretty dam lazy, at least they appear that way. I wish I lived in one of the other regions.

        • Last time I sent a ticket to wargaming, it was regarding a technical problem with a clan logo appearing on tanks.
I politely asked how the logo was implemented, and why the new one appeared as if it were under a layer of texture, while the old one was over overthing.

          The answer?
“This is a clan logo, if you don’t like it, you can modify it”
Great. Great work you fucking retard. I know you can modify it because I just did.
I do some customer service too, I know it’s shit, but never would I tell a customer to fuck off like that.

  3. They shouldn’t have come up with stupid objectives in the first place.. its WGs own fault. goals haven’t got anything to do with how skillful player is, just how grindy, how far can he go and how many matches he’s willing to put into 1 stupid mission.. since there can be a dozen games you won’t be able to kill those 3 mediums you need to progress… and that’s just an easy example.. some missions are even tied to particular vehicles because how often does it happen that you get to bounce a double of your health pool in a Churchill. I imagine there would be a better way to examine skills than forcing good players to cap.

    • “how many matches he’s willing to put into 1 stupid mission”

That’s not true, though – you would play anyway, so the mission is just an “extra”. The whole: “You play only for missions” thing is wrong in the first place.

I have capped plenty of times in heavies even before missions, few times it even won me a lost battle. I have no problems with the missions (StuG almost complete) and I do nothing extraordinary in my tanks. The devs are right – it’s only about greed, the players want it right away, within days.

      • stug is easy but i don’t see completing t55 before months later… i also have capped with a heavy before countless times but that happens maybe once a week.. but it gets a lot harder when you also have to deal 2k+ damage.. because then most of either team is almost dead and there’s just no time to cap

      • Honestly, capping in heavies is very rare for me when I’m playing in a heavy tank. And, mind you, I’m not one of those overly greedy players who is almost totally unwilling to cap. But I tend to take my heavies where the action is hottest and rarely ever end up in a position to be capping.

Capping missions seem to make more sense for faster tanks, since capping on standard maps seems to occur when faster tanks quickly get deep into the enemy’s rear.

As for the dev’s opinion about it being about greed, I somewhat disagree. These are MISSIONS, as in “I’m on a mission to complete this”, not “oh, it’ll be over when it’s over whenever that may be.” When you’re on a MISSION, you are focused on DOING IT. It’s not “greed” to work to complete a mission. It’s the way one does a “mission”. You focus on completing it. If you’re doing something that’ll be over at some unspecified time in the future and you don’t really pay attention to getting it done, then it is NOT a “mission”!!!

      • My Conqueror GC usually drives around in full gold layout because it is very inaccurate. The splash helps when you have to damage 3 enemies. You can’t load normal shells either and switch (45 seconds) when you see 3 enemies stacked together. I managed to do it fairly quickly, but focusing on a mission can cost a lot of credits.

About rigging. Would WG consider it rigging if you take a 1 tier higher tank into battle with your TD to improve the odds of actually having a 1 tier higher tank.

    • It was said from the very start – mission rewards are not for everyone. And missions should not become a goal of the game. Apparently you skimed the introduction :)

      • apparently you missed the part WG said the missions are going to keep people playing as a form of an endgame… at this point I gave up on playing wot completely.. but not because I wasn’t able to finish the missions.. I couldn’t keep a stable winrate with these vegetable teams focused on bullshit objectives that don’t help instead they further break the game.. it only made me more frustrated.. I generally don’t have fun when a match is over in 3 minutes at tier 10… I’ll just play some singleplayer games and wait for armored warfare.. In a couple of patches I might get back. After all I played 24k battles so I can’t just forget I ever played the game

        • I did miss the “endgame” part. WG should have advertised the fact those “reward” tanks have no income bonus alot more i sopose (just as any clan reward tanks). But then again – might not be the issue. How long till everyone either finishes theyr missions or abandons them? Untill then – we have time to play other games or meet our wives and children, do some gardening etc. :)

  4. You destroyed game with this missions, players playing like idiots,no one care who will win only important is mission accomplished, after 40 000 battles i think to sell acc or just give up from game and I am not the only one, you will lose players because this bullshit that game become…

    • True, missions made game shit. The sad part is that most playera will never succeed the missions because they suck too badly. These missions are counter productive, you dont play effective if your goal is to finish missions. Not to mention the huge amount of tds, artys, gold spammers and tier 10 games. Missions are a joke!

      • But a lot of players are not using the class of vehicle properly anyway.

The number of times that I’ve seen heavy or medium/light tanks on Fiery Salient head for the island to snipe from there and not do anything else. Or they stop in a top tier heavy on the railway crossing (on the island side)….

  5. How many of these answers are out there and are there answers diverting from this answer?
To me it looks like one CS Agent mucking about.

  6. that guy’s (Serkan Aslan) ctrl+c+v buttons should be worn already, i have at least 3 or 4 answers which were pretty close to this one. is it so hard to “investigate” these battles?

is there anyone who had a punishment due to “ingame reporting system” ?

    • Maybe we should start reporting the ingame reporting system and people who are working there – that will probably work….not.

  7. You teased us too much with that WGRU vs WGEU post, SS. Now ppl will demand for WG RU invation to EU everytime EU doing some fuck up lol.

Not that it matters for me though since I’m on ASIA. Despite of few fuck ups and relatively lower average skill of players I’m quite satisfed actually. Any news about rigging in ASIA or NA?

  8. Why rigg them ? I just completed T28 HTC yesterday and im halfway through the HT and MT missions for T55 again. They are absolutely not hard at all, just pick the right tank to do them and they are really easy.

  9. I have a question …

They told us that misuse of the report function let drop your reputation. How the staff really knows what I’m going to report? They maybe don’t get what im going to report and downgrade my reputation.

    • you got a point.
they have a report called “unsportmanlike conduct”
      -team kill
      -pushing out ally
      -rigging battle
      -noob platooning
      .
      .
      .
      .
they are all unsportsmanlike, which one will WG pick?

  10. Ohh I am so glad I am on RU server… :) I had a feeling about WG EU…and since than day after day they look even more incompetent.. Btw.. when someone wants to start playing on RU I would be really happy xD Its super but its russian so there ae not many players speaking english xD so if you play there please let me know :) Hard to find someone to platoon with for IM :) but apart from this handicap ist fine.. You know its ”its almost” russian game so they naturaly do everything for RU players.. Do not forget :* Let me know anyone who is on RU server … Thank you…

PS: I really can not wait to find out what is gonna happend with WG EU stuff… and why ? Because fuc** you WG EU… Thats why ..

  11. what do they mean by “you have enough time to finish missions”?
are they time limited in any fashion? in official materials I never seen “missions will be active till…..”

    • Ne, its all about what customer support answers you. 100 employees 100 different answers. Left hand doenst know what the right hand does.

  12. “Did you know that you can’t write a ticket about game rigging on EU server?”

Well, I knew that you cannot write a ticket about cheating (botting) on the US server ;) (all automated – sure)

  13. Could’ve told you that, SS. WG EU Support doesn’t react to anything that’s happening in-game (in-match that is; if someone for example insults in garage it seems they still do something, at least the pretend) anymore that you’re reporting directly to them, ever since the ingame-report-system was implemented. I could show you several of those generic responses where they just refer to the ingame-report-system. They’re not acting on behalf of direct reports anymore. Whatever it is. Insults, pushing/blocking, game rigging… no matter what. Everything that’s happening in-match is job of the “absolutely awesomely effective and flawless” ingame-report-system now.

And we all know, that this stupid system is blatantly ineffective: A certain amount (lots) of reports have to accumulate in a certain (probably quite short) time span. When someone does something report-worthy in-match, out of all the involved players only a handful of them will report him – at best!! Most of the time you’re the only one and the others either haven’t even noticed what’s been happening or they just don’t care. Or if someone has noticed it and would like to report him, it’s not uncommon people already ran out of reports for that day (it’s not like you have much of them; on a normal day they’re all gone after a session of 1-2 hrs, just by reporting all those bot/afk-leecher-wankers). So it turns out that if someone does bullshit and would’ve deserved to receive a report from everyone else, he gets 1-3 reports at most!

So in order to manage to get the necessary amount of reports that would make the support take a closer look into that matter, one would really have to overdo it – and I mean massively! – you’d have to do bullshit GALORE to achieve that.

In other words: It’s a free pass to do whatever you want as long as you’re not doing it nearly every match. Insults? As long as you’re not throwing racist speech or cancer wishes around (these type of insults will make more people report you, but still – even those wouldn’t make EU support do anything on a direct report for that – they will always say “blabla ingame report system blabla”) and insult in a let’s say “more regular way”, you basically can openly curse the people every match, it doesn’t matter. Most people won’t even care or even report you for that and if some few decide to do so, you couldn’t care less. There’s a very very high chance nothing will ever happen anyway. And you always have the assurance that if someone tries to report you directly to the support, they won’t do shit anyway, so if you’d tell someone you’re going to report him directly to the support via ticket, he’s probably going to make even more fun of you, insult you even harder and laugh his ass off.

    • I remember that I reported someone for deliberately pushing me off a cliff back in the days. Support looked at the replay and said they will take measures. I kept an eye on that dudes service record and it seems he got banned for at least 1 day or so.

After implementation of the ingame report system I tried to report someone directly for the same thing – generic response, telling me to use the ingame report system. Nothing happened of course.

I once also reported a guy that’s been giving away our positions to the enemy, because he had clan-buddies in the enemy team. Dude also got banned for one day as far as I can tell. Wouldn’t try that today anymore. Support won’t do shit. Ofc I’d still report him via ingame report system, but it’s a joke. Nothing will ever happen anyway, because he won’t do that every match. So basically you can do this stuff nowaday with impunity.

  14. What is considered rigging?
Is playing in platoon non-platoon missions is rigging? Or it is only if your friends actively help you? Or does that count only when your friends are on the opposite team? Or the same team but not in your platoon?
Is rigging playing OP tank for the job? Like Maus for HT-15 mission?
Is rigging playing yolo just to finish the mission and fuck the team? Or like “accidentally” tracking friendly tank to ensure you get proper spots, kills etc?

    • Rigging is basically getting any kind of organized support from the enemy players

“Or like “accidentally” tracking friendly tank to ensure you get proper spots, kills etc?” – unsportsmanlike conduct, eligible for temporary ban

  15. EU support does suck. All they do is use standard automated messages and milk the fuck out of the community. They are very useless. They can problably do with 50 people in support desk or just use automated systems to reply to the tickets.. Its really pointless to ask those guys anything

Next to that the whole community support sucks compared to other regions I’d dare to say that. I dont know why the culture of the EU community is so different.

    • Only thing where automated system doesn’t respond to you when you send a bug report with repeat instructions without mods installed with clean install.

Oh wait… you get just message:

      “Thank you for contacting us.
We have forwarded this issue to our specialists as a bug report for a further investigation.

      Thank you for your patience.”

Can anyone confirm are these also automated? :D

  16. So wargaming comes up with bullshit missions that are easy to rig then cries about it?

Heres one for you people reporting cheaters to wargaming, I got a one week ban for sending in to many support tickets about bots and cheaters guess I was making to much work for the staff. Another time I got a warning about sending in a ticket for clans rigging tournaments, they didn’t what to hear about that also. So think before you write that support ticket it may cause more harm to you that person you are reporting!

  17. Do you know how many times someone has asked the team “Hey, can you save that (insert tank here) for me? I need to kill it for my mission”. That happens all the time.

  18. Stronk tactic… looks like they can deal with idiots quite effectively after all :) Lets hope they will send commissar to deal with semi-useless/useless WG EU as well :)

  19. Serkan Aslan is Turkish “customer representative” in Wargaming Europe for Turkish players.

Let’s look at his WoT profile:
    http://worldoftanks.eu/community/accounts/519891133-Averesco/

Let’s take a look at another Turkish “representative”:
    http://worldoftanks.eu/community/accounts/503736659-Ishtara/

If you aren’t satisfied with 2 examples, please don’t hesitate to take a look some “players” or “customer representatives” at WG clan.

    Conclusion:
Even WG staff does not know how to play and how to manage this game. And if no one mentioned: not only IM and MM, accuracy is rigged, too.

  20. About time the cheaters get punished, WG should lock up their vehicles used for IM, and have to use gold to unlock vehicles for play.
