E3 Stream Update

I gave up.

The event is nice enough I guess but the amount of WG PR stuff… nah, not worth it. The spam in the chat is terrible and the new “reward system” (instead of codes, WG staff on the chat randomly says a codeword and if you write it you have a chance to win a prize) practically forces you to watch the chat instead of the stream, which is stupid (but then, 99 percent of people seem to have come in to beg for Type 59 instead of watching the stream).

In other words, don’t expect any codes to appear here.

There was some sort of quasi QA with some guys I hever heard about, from which I could gather the following info:

Warplanes

- WoWp will be in CW (unknown ETA)
- cockpit mode – “I doubt it”
- future: new modes (“creative awesome game modes”), tons of new aircraft

Tanks

- PC: weather effects? bla bla bla maybe in the future
- WGL Warsaw brought more support to e-sports
- Stronghold “in next two patches or something”
- premium tanks are not OP, they are balanced at middle level of their tier
- more historical battles are coming
- couple of more tank content updates, independent suspension, Havok

As you can see, practically nothing new. If you are going to watch from now on – good luck and stronk nerves, you’re gonna need them. Personally, I don’t think even Type 59 is worth watching that chat spam.

  1. I can 100% understand you, i gave up like an hour ago. PR nonsense and a Chat Spam like in “Twitch plays”.
    Not worth it.

    • I decided to take a part ..but then i was like WTF???? They cant be serious with it…. People are yelling idiotic words to the chat, then they randomly pick one or few of them and give him/them a bonuscode…..WTF?? its definitely most idiotic kind of contest in the world…. You cant even watch the stream because you need to watch the chat full of shit….OMG WG….

      • I don’t mind it to much as it goes by so quick you cant really read it anyways, what annoyed me and reason I stopped watching was the fact in order for you to respond you had to do it as a sub in order to chat, and as one that is low on funds I cant be one currently.

    • find watching people humiliate themselves by having to stand up on stage and shout “let’s battle” quite funny. Poor guys.

      • I watched E3 yesterday. … Shortly: don’t waste your time. Why? 1) Moderators …. added value for average player almost zero, Prizes – ok, there are some prizes. …. 2) Chat … is not the chat, but fast chaotic inputs containing mainly requests for Type 59. …. Code for Type 59? One chat-participant from tousands is chosen (randomly) in certain interval (90 min?). OK, cca 15 participants will be chosen within 3 days. IMO – no competition, watching the “chat” is like watching drugs’ consumers waiting for new delivery (because of Type).

  2. They’re also asking questions and picking people randomly based on their answers.
    Also, next Type 59 code is SUPPOSED to be up in 22 minutes (2:00 PM Pacific), since the last code went up at 1:14~1:15.

      • I wouldn’t mind getting one but I am not going to spam a chat with it. I would rather be a lucky person to win something if I could even partake but as I am not a sub I cant event say anything in chat.

  11. Um I own a T34 and it is in no way in the middle of t8. Sure aimtime and reload are slow but played right it is just a force to be reckoned with.

    • T34 is one of the worst carry out there. So slow and cumbersome, you’re much better off playing any regular tier 8.

      • T34 is the only carry proper alfa and pen cannot be said about the rest of the t8 prem tanks…..

  12. You don’t need to watch the stream.
    You can use a irc client and send the op msg’s to another window and have it ding when they say something :/…

    So that way, you just come ot keys when it dings and type in the magic krud.

      That’ll filter out all of what the mods say, problem you’ll have is the disconnects/floods going on with the server.

      But then again – moar optimisation for PC which WG is not the best at.

      • WT night battle is on for OBT as well…..WT players don’t like it as well…the only thing I think NB is slightly better in WT is the spark of ur gun is bright enough to see something(and enemy can spot u as well) :)
        The guns in WoT is just smoky…XD

  15. Jesus this stream is such a joke… they keep talking about how the game is historically accurate… It’s HILARIOUS. Plus the chat spam and the way they’re giving away the rewards, such a waste of time.

    • Likely when you watch the whole stream and combine all the codes you will get a working code that will give you something (Type 59?). This way they will force people to watch the stream all night…

      Those codes will probably form a big code at the end of the stream.If,by any chance,you plan to watch the hole thing,could you post the final code here?
      I can’t stay up tonight,tomorrow I have my physics exam,still it would be a shame to lose such an opportunity.

      but for Prem tanks…on the right person is always OP, no matter what tank it’s….WG said isn’t OP probably by just looking at the WR%, which the noob wallet warriors bring it down and ofc WG not going to think about this

      • E-25 and SU-122-44 both are overperforming way above premium tank should ever be capable. Type 59 when it was just released was OP as hell too. You don’t need meaningless data such as WR to see whether the vehicle is overperforming or not. But yes WG does use it as an excuse to have OP prem tanks in the game.

      I got 3000 credits too.

      But on top of that there were 2 more messages in Russian.
      One added 300 gold, and one added 3 premium days.

      So it’s not just credits

      • There was atleast 3 people who won multiple times and if you notice, quite a few of the names are bot created nicknames, all starting with the same first 2-3 letters.

        Why do you think WG is not muting the players who keep spamming all the time, they want people to stay on their stream, to make it look like it is popular.

        Needless to say, I won’t waste my time on anymore of their streams.

    People are offering me lots of money for it.
    But what is the best way to sell it? Paypal is too easy to dispute and it is impossible to prove to paypal that you gave someone code for virtual tank

  33. I still think it’s better than mass promoting codes and getting them stolen. At least the people in chat have to do something, and additionally there were some extra random draws. Nothing much, but whatevs~

  36. Their stream is a joke . It’s mind numbingly dull I mean come on who the fuck wants to hear about shitty warPlanes anyway or what supposed Cyber Athletes with no life think. They aRent athletes and it’s not a sport. The only reason why WG are giving away type 59s is because they know no one would watch their shitty stream otherWise . I gave up and went back to play the game after 20 minutes it was so mind numbingly dull.

    • Very disappointed in all this stream. You get to watch the same 3 trailers over and over again (not to mention that they’re not new… usually at E3 things are new). Lots of gadgets being given away to the people there. A shitty spammed chat where you have to look all the time if you even want to get a Type 59. Don’t get your hopes too high. There are like 9-10000 people watching that all the time. It’s almost impossible to win.

      Also, that stupid good looking chick is interviewing people asking the same questions 2-3 times in a row. I think she’s also working on the map rotation system.

      And many many other flaws that make this stream as unattractive as it can get. I can’t believe I’ve spent an entire night on that crap.

    The Type 59 had its good time when it faced tanks down to tier 5. But that is over.. the Type 59 is just an standard Medium Tank just and good allround.
