Hello everyone,
Eviltim666 and general_frost recently visited Camp Borden ín Ontario, Canada and took some interesting pictures there, which they decided to share. Enjoy!

T-34/85
Churchill Mk.IV
Sherman Crab mineclearing flail tank
Jagdpanzer 38(t)
Centurion Mk.V
Wirbelwind (German WW2 AA gun – 4x20mm FlaK on Panzer IV chassis)
M4A1 Grizzly
M5A1 Stuart
Leopard 1A3
88mm Tiger I barrel
Czechoslovak T-55 AM2B
Bobcat indigenous Canadian APC prototype
Ram and Sexton
Ford Universal Carrier
M13/40 Italian tank
Matilda II
Canadian-built Valentine
Renault Modéle 1918
Whippet Mk.A
Vickers Light Tank
They should build whole Tiger around that 88 barrel :D
Paper Tiger
Tiger tank? Why they should build that around a gun???

:) :) :)
this picture makes me lough every time I hear about Tiger tanks
I want M60 >.< stupid clanwar reward
Subtle “I suck at WOT” post is subtle.
Subtle “I have an M60 because I’m a badass” post is subtle.
HETZER GONNA HETZ
That is not a 8.8cm L56 barrel, it’s either a 7.5cm L43 or L48 barrel.
8.8cm L56 Tiger 1 barrel

Yeah, the muzzle brake is a clear sign that it’s a 75mm
The sign said it was a 80mm Tiger I barrel from 1942
The Wirbelwind looks so sexeh :o
Wow that’s really close to my house and I never knew it was there! Will be visiting!
What is the gun on Canadian Sherman?
The muzzel break doesnt look like Firefly gun, so this is M1 variant prolly as the barrel is pretty long?
It was the 75mm
Doesn’t seem so. You can clearly see the 75mm M3 gun on the Sherman Crab – the barrel is pretty short with no muzzle break. The M4A4 DV has much longer barrel WITH muzzle break.
But it looks a bit different then M1 (76mm) guns, hency the question i asked.
Well, it well looks like easy 8 gun so M1 gun after all.
SS isn’t that a Leopard C1?
Those tanks looks so good I live quite far away from Borden but the are two M4s near my house that I like to fr time to time.
Leopard C1 is just the Canadian designation for Leopard 1A3.
ADD_LEOPARD_A3_TURRET_TO_GAEM!
:(
The Sherman is not M4A4 IMO…and I don’t see any “Direct Vision” ports.

That’s what the sign said. We are not tank engineers. I assume they know what they are talking about.
The Churchill is a Churchill I not a Mk IV – 2 pdr main gun, early turret and 3″ hull mounted howitzer.
The Vickers Light tank is a Mk VIb – Vickers mg, 1 piece armoured louvre over radiator and circular cupoler.
Sign said Mark IV with a 6 pound cannon infantry tank. Don’t know what to tell you. We just took pictures of all the placks.
Leopard is so sexy <3

Does this explain the lump on the rear underside of some T-54/55 models?
iirc that renualt is one of the first two renualt purchased from the USA for scrap metal prices to form canada royal armoured core in the early 30s before ww2 started that was recently restored
In the last couple of photos, is that Vickers V1c model with a 40mm pom-pom gun? To bad we did not get that model as a WG gift.
This one they did not write much about. Just said WW2 Vickers tank with twin machine guns.
Its a Vickers VIb with 0.5″ and 0.303″ Vickers MG’s – none mounted the ‘pom pom’
Btw. The Italian tank is the only one of it’s kind left. That was cool to see. All the rivets were ground to points and there were a lot of them. Cool details.
Not true, there is a M13/40 located at Bovington Tank Museum which was acquired from the North African campaign ;) check out this website and it will clarify everything :) http://preservedtanks.com/Types.aspx?TypeCategoryId=5300&Select=1
I guess they did not do a lot of research before making their signs.
