related to the Chinese server info from the last post:
8.8 test server is supposed to start on 22.8.2013 (eg. on Thursday).
Two rounds of test are planned for now (22.8. and 29.8.)
The 8.8 is to go live on Russian server either on 8.9. or 9.9., on EU/NA/SEA it’s supposed to be between 10.9. and 12.9., for Korea it’s 17.9. – how much is this info reliable, I don’t know. But the test start is like 80 percent sure.

Because people only play arty on test, since they are not worth it on the live server.
You do realize that arty hasn’t really been nerfed that much, don’t you? WG rebalanced arty to fit the new, better MM that they gave it, and then let nerfwhiners like you blow the rebalance all out of proportion in order to gain the desired effect. It seems to have worked splendidly.
You realize, you get banned on the main server, when you TK on the test server, right?
No… I’ve done it about 5 times so far…

My personal guess is that EU patch comes in second half of September.

My six months predictions:
First half of September – 8.8
First half of October – 8.9 (German 2nd TD branch)
Mid December – 9.0 (with Havok and all that)
Second half of January – 9.1 (some minor patch, fixing Havok errors)
End of February – 9.2 (Japanese tech tree)
With 9.0 there is the whole CAMO redux unless you have already forgotten. By redux I mean complete camo system overhaul.
I bet a Chinese TD line will be added before the Japanese tree. After all, you wouldn’t want to have Japanese tanks running around without Chinese TDs to destroy them.

Is it a closed test server, invite only, or is there a process for application prior to it going up?
I’m down here on the SEA server, and I’ve yet to see any mention of it on our forums.
They post it on the WG site when the Test Server is up. You download the installer from there.
What is Wargamings web address?
U have to have wot account at least one Month old st desired server to participate in test.
Wg mentions oficially about tests some hours before, max one day earlierm It prevent mass compaints if they decide to hold with public test a bit
