- the gameplay between WoT and WoTXbox is incompatible, Xbox version has various features to compensate for the clumsiness of the game controller, so that the gameplay could at least a bit compare to the mouse one
- SerB states that the statement “Cybersport mostly consists of organizational matters, changes in the client are minimal” is not correct
- SerB states that the 7/42 has different rating, because it’s for the e-sports players (SS: not every random player)

- gun barrel in sniper mode (like in Xbox WoT) will not be implemented for two reasons: 1) it blocks a part of the sniper view 2) in real life, you couldn’t see the barrel thru the scope either
- there will be no separate statistic for damage done by AP and gold shells
- German tech tree interface is already packed: if new tanks don’t fit, it will be made bigger
- SerB states that three branches for each class in one nation are practically out of the question (for example 3 top arties), but it’s possible some classes will have three vehicles on the same tier, such as Object 430, Object 140 and T-62A
- city maps: when it’s done it’s done
- apparently, gold consumable mechanism (where you can accidentally activate it and it will fix useless damage, such as yellow tracks) won’t be changed
- SerB states that the mission crew XP coefficients are not multiplicative, but cumulative: for example if you fulfill 2 missions that give you 20 percent crew XP bonus each, it will NOT look like 1*1,2*1,2, but 1+0,2+0,2
- SerB states that there are no more “premium account” missions, because at this moment it’s possible to get free premium account from airplanes and there is no reason to implement two competing features
- TD gold ammo nerfs anytime soon? “If needed”
- new tesselation technologies? (HBAO, HDAO) (SS: no idea what that means) “Wait for patch 0.9.0, there will be a lot in it, even though not everything you ask for”
- devs are working on the improved physics (SS: independent roadwheel movement), they are currently fixing bugs of the system, work goes “normally”
- SerB states that some bug fixes are delayed till next patch, because transferring a patch to the inner WG work server delays next patch development by weeks
- SerB, when asked why they are doing a mode for e-sports players, when there are so few of them: “Well, because there are so few of the e-sports players, we made the quick team filling mechanism for random players. It’s like when there’s professional football and when you have a match with friends in the yard. And for people who really don’t play sports we will make the historical battles after 7/42.” Also, SerB wanted to make historical battles before cybersports, but he was outvoted on that.
- SerB states that if you have a tank with low firepower, like stock T-34-2, you should “go after enemies with thin armor, scout, evade enemies, flank, go after arty”
- Object 277, 279 and 770 are not planned
- WoT “dramatic improvement of graphics” will be in “one of the upcoming patches”
- SerB on War Thunder mixing airplanes and tanks in one battle: “We too are very skeptical about it – for normal mixing like that, you need to make a lot of unhistorical gameplay-related changes, take Battlefield as an example: to reduce the speed of airplanes to 200-300km/h, increase the speed of tanks to 60km/h, then we can talk. But when the hightier maximum speed differences differ 15 times (900 vs 60km/h), it’s really hard to make the gameplay interesting”
- SerB states that open hatches playing a role in HEAT impact is one of the urban legends. As an example, he cites a buttoned-up Abrams, penetrated by a HEAT warhead, when only one crewmember recieved burns.
- Historical battles: vehicles will have a “historical” configurations, when you enter historical battle, the game will automatically put these historical modules on your tank and when you finish the battle, it will put the modules you had before back. If you don’t own the required modules (for example you sold the stock engine), they will be bought automatically.
- SerB, when asked why World of Tanks looks so terrible compared to War Thunder tanks: “How terrible. Demo-version, barely working on i7 with – if I noticed correctly – “bricks” instead of damage models is naturally better.” and “The old principle ‘grass is greener on the other side’ works for Gaijin, that has to be taken into account.”
- it will be possible to change the crewman profession not only for gold, but also for silver (with penalties)
- midtier arty buffs: “Most likely the shell velocity will be increased. And aim time lowered. But not much. We’ll see in the test. Top tier arties will most likely not be buffed.”
- in the future, all nations (but not all tanks) will be able to participate in historical battles
- it’s not guaranteed that all nations will have captured tanks, but SerB will try to give them to each nation
- apparently, how the multiturret mechanism will work will depend on how exactly will they make it work with client-server packets
- it’s possible that captured tanks will be available even in/for random battles (SS: here the Russian question is a bit unclear, I think it means that you will be able to play them in random, not get them in random)
- neither captured tanks nor multiturret tanks will come in 2013
- free premium account is now given via WoWp in order to test the united premium account option
- MAN and Daimler-Benz Tiger proposals won’t be implemented (not enough data)
- new music for WoT will be implemented “based on our possibilities”
- roaming limits will work in all directions, not just RU->EU
- SerB states that the Soviet tanks are more “streamlined” than German “boxes” because “our school of construction was strongly influenced by Christie and the French (yes, the same AMX-40). Other than that, for our economy the cast armor was more reasonable”
- there might be more tier 8 premiums at some point, there are candidates available
- no concrete plans for British hightier premium tanks
- SerB states that there will be no submarines in WoWs, because they would have to be even less realistic than WoT arty
- new French tanks will not come anytime soon, but they will come
- the possibility to chat when the map is loading will be implemented with the new chat interface
- 7/42 mode for tier 10? “For tier 10 we have other plans”
- there are no plans to replace too new tanks with something else
- for now the E50/E50M unification is not even actually planned
- the improved graphics in WoT will include clearly visible welds, rivets, round roadwheels/barrels, segmented tracks, camouflage without current restrictions, modelled bottom of the tanks, independent suspension, stuff hanging on tanks (tools, boxes) flying off when hit, moving antennas, more realistic tank movement and other interesting stuff. “If someone thinks we are sleeping here, he is mistaken”
- it was Veider who decided the Konisch gun penetration, based on documents from Yuri Pasholok
- improved graphics will bring better realistic map details, plus destructable objects
- SerB makes a correction: maximum tier for premium light tank is 7, there will be no premium tier 8 LT
- there are plans for new hangars, Storm states he doesn’t know any details because he’s at home, but he really dislikes the non-premium hangar: “It looks like a torture room”
- improved graphics will come after 0.9.0, 0.9.0 will bring serious changes in map lighting
- Type 62 was removed from the shop, because it’s one of WZ-131 configurations in game
- there will be some changes on most critisized maps
- regarding KV-1S: there is a variant of short-barrel 122mm derp KV-1S being introduced as a premium tank, but SerB states he might introduce it as a regular tank
- teamdamage punishment is planned to become more strict
- there is no plan to reduce the 25 percent random factor
- there are no German candidates for “medium-like” high tier mediums (resembling T-54 for example)

    • Hell Yes. I wonder if Zarax or other local tank buffs might shed some light on these.

  1. - improved graphics will come after 0.9.0, 0.9.0 will bring serious changes in map lighting
    Sounds awesome!

  2. - there are plans for new hangars, Storm states he doesn’t know any details because he’s at home, but he really dislikes the non-premium hangar: “It looks like a torture room”

Who would ask that? <-(Ofc, russians would)
Just go and download a hangar mod.

  3. - regarding KV-1S: there is a variant of short-barrel 122mm derp KV-1S being introduced as a premium tank, but SerB states he might introduce it as a regular tank

We already have the KV-1S with the 122mm U-11 miniderp as alternative stock gun. For that matter, we have a KV-1 with that 122mm U-11 in tier 5..
I do not think that this is related with the KV-1S split/rebalance (about the “long” 122mm gun)

0.9.0 is appearantly about improved graphics and client physics…

        • Of course its not going anywhere – WoT will stand strong and WT will bounce :D
(sadly, you fall into 1 of 2 categories of people about WT Tenks vs WoT – and you fall into dumbasses’ one)

      • I think that was EE and not SS (cool names by the way), under that widely appreciated “Buff my tank: KV-1s” article.

  4. “- German tech tree interface is already packed: if new tanks don’t fit, it will be made bigger”

    Well, just do this:

Take out the premium tanks on the trees and add a tab for each tech tree which shows them.

    Easy.

  5. “- new French tanks will not come anytime soon, but they will come”

    NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

    DAMN YOU!

      • They are letting the T-62A clone, Waffletractors, and the entire army of Japan cut them in the lunch line.

        • Well to be fair, the Waffentraegers were promised a LONG time ago, about the same time as the second French Heavy line, and the Japanese tech tree is at least a whole different tech tree. The Object 140…no, just…no.

          • yes yes yes, love my object140 :P u just jelly Ruskies got another proper medium tenk instead of some oversized paper shiet like almost every1 else. :P

    • I think the thing about the second French heavy line that bugs people is how it supposedly is actually done and ready, just not put into the live game.

  6. - Type 62 was removed from the shop, because it’s one of WZ-131 configurations in game

Does this mean its only removed from the in-game shop or is it like the Type 59 never to be gotten again other then competitions?

  7. quote: “new tesselation technologies? (HBAO, HDAO) (SS: no idea what that means) ”

HDAO, HBAO and SSAO are not tesselation, they’re ambient occlusions, a subset of shaders algorithms

Ambient occlusion is a shading method used in 3D computer graphics which helps add realism to local reflection models by taking into account attenuation of light due to occlusion. Ambient occlusion attempts to approximate the way light radiates in real life, especially off what are normally considered non-reflective surfaces.

SSAO – screen space ambient occlusion
HBAO – horizon based ambient occlusion
HDAO – high definition ambient occlusion

      • the better one is … HDAO or HBAO; also HBAO uses of eye image plane techniques to simulate the differences in iris size when looking from certain levels of light into other levels of light, HDAO does not

SSAO has the less impact on performance one, but is the less accurate

    • Ambient Occlusion, better models, Pixel Shader 3.0, Havok…
WoT will look quite a bit better after these. Now if they completely overhaul the engine and allow for OpenGL 4.2 and DirectX 11 along with Dynamic DX 11 weather and wet surfaces, better explosions and effects when firing…
      It will be beautiful
And of coarse keep minimum settings and DX9 for the toasters :)

      • and like always, I’ll turn them off if they interfere with gameplay
one of the reasons I hate myself for buying BF3 – shit like lighting can’t be turned off

        • Ahahaha, I agree completely with your BF3 statement. Who thought a desaturated blue and white color palette was a good idea? And the lens flare overuse!!! They had a great graphics engine, but their art design choices make the game look like youtube amateur footage. What’s worse, they are doing this again in BF4!!!!

      • You got it all wrong… they still play with the abascus and toaster is quite high tech to that. I don’t like to mention calculators… they might be too advanced. :D

      • To that i have to say: Ive been working on implementing Dx11 myself,

        works only partially

But i did a nice change, ive made it that i can use Tesselation on the WoT textures:)

Looks nice with these cobblestone streets in Ruinberg
works only if i play without 3DVision-.- but it works

So WG can add it too, no problem
i think they will add it with Havok

    • Play it. 10 wins + 10 planes downed + 10 ground kills earns max 240 “tokens” per day which can be used to pay premium account at same cost as gold. However there are only about 10 days of beta left.

  8. - SerB states that there will be no submarines in WoWs, because they would have to be even less realistic than WoT arty

Well thats just stupid.. I hope it’s wrong

    • I have this inkling you’re not quite aware of the considerable inherent limitations of submarines *particulary* in the context of fleet actions…
Though that is excusable, as at least one major contemporary navy (the Japanese) entertained similar delusions.

      • I dunno much about “fleet operations ” . But this severely limits the soviet and to a lesser extent the german navy . The submarines were considered in prewar as well as post war soviet philosophy to be the sharpest teeth of the navy .

        • Well duh, they were the quintessential “continental empire” with only decidedly limited oceanic access insofar naval strategy went. Subs were (and to a large degree still are) primarily “commerce raiders” highly useful for undermining the other guy’s maritime shipping and hence economy, as it turned out far more so than even the best surface raiders (a major doctrinal job of cruisers actually), but especially given the limitations of period technology their utility against warships was kind of limited aside from opportunistic ambushes. The concept of a “fleet submarine” meant to act in concert with surface combat units was at one point fairly widely entertained, but in practice proved illusive – the things proved too vulnerable on the surface, too slow underwater to keep pace, and next to impossible to properly coordinate with since radio is totally useless underwater.
Even the Japanese who probably persisted longer with a derivative of the idea intented to instead use them as “guerillas” to hound and weaken the US battlefleet over its trip across the Pacific; this proved to be a dead-end too as subs were found to be plain too slow to catch up with surface combatants and too difficult to mass where needed. The Japanese realised this very quickly the first time they actually tested the doctrine in a major fleet exercise; too bad this wasn’t done until like the late Thirties at which point a generation or two of subs had been designed and built specifically for the purpose…

          • Yes, this. The main point of sea control is to secure shipping; both supply and troop movement. And I think a lot of people are thinking movie subs, whereas in reality, especially in WWII, subs were pretty much blind unless at least at periscope depth. Submarines have never fought each other underwater.

            • Technically speaking incorrect; a Brit sub sank a German one very late in the war with both being submerged IIRC. Which was AFAIK the first and so far only sinking of its kind… though that’s mainly thanks to the Cold War never having gone hot.

    • Well it’s not that stupid.
Although subs have sank few big vessels, when you compare it to their typical victim it’s really small percentage, Atlantic isn’t that good example though. Let’s look at Pacific theatre – both navies had submarines, but even when the HAD to use them in battles they’ve had rather auxiliary roles.

The best way to realise it is to play some Silenthunter game and imagine “how to shift its(sub) gameplay to fit let’s say 25 minutes WoT-like battle? how would Battleships protect from them if there wouldn’t be any ships with ASW weapon or they’d be quickly destroyed? how to avoid massive hide and make other rage strategy(because battle will took X more minutes)? etc.” It’s the same thing as combined arms warfare – it looks great on paper and epic on trailers, but design wise it’s flawed and we all know it.

      • So i n wows terms if a destroyer (the fastest class in game) spots a sub and the sub dives the destroyer will be able to run circles around him spamming depth charges going huehuehue while the poor sub chugs along at 1/4 the speed of the destroyer .

        • …assuming the poor sub now actually manages to “crash dive” before the conning tower gets extra ventilation fresly installed, after which it will be… difficult. Or the DD doesn’t just unceremoniously run it over – which was done often enough IRL, though it tended to wreck the bow. (There’s at least one recorded case of the crew of the stricken U-boat promptly trying to *board* the offending destroyer, leading to a general melee on the front deck before the pugnacious German sailors were pummeled into submission.)

      • Who is for adding east germany tree to WoT? :D
        I am for it :D

          • It would be copypasta that benefits somebody OTHER than the Soviet or Chinese trees for once, so I’m all for it. (And if you think about it, the Germans already have “copypaste” tanks in the tree: the Panther was based on captured T-34s).

  9. >new French tanks will not come anytime soon, but they will come

    >not come anytime soon

    >not come anytime soon

    >not come anytime soon

    >not come anytime soon

    >not come anytime soon

    >not come anytime soon

    >not come anytime soon

    >not come anytime soon

    WHY SERB WHY ;__;

    • Why would they? We have enough french as it is. Full arty medium heavy and td lines. So no more french tanks pls, moar German, US, USSSR, UK and Japanese tanks pls. You know, the states that WERE in war. World war 2, you know.

        • So your nick is Tsunami…and you don’t want Japanese tanks before moar baguettes? Interesting…

          • Look up the Japanese wartime tanks. Then do the same with the French.
There’s easily about a branch’s worth of perfectly good early-war stuff for the latter, quite a bit of which is rather interesting too. The Japanese pretty much need late-war modifications just to make their low-tier cans competitive…

      • Baguette lover here.

Look, there were NO NEW FRENCH BRANCHES since addition of TD’s and Arties and if I recall correctly it was around 7.6 update. You ask why we need more Frenchies ? Well why we need more German , Soviet and US tanks as well ? Oh god, and your point about state of war…. FRANCE WAS IN STATE OF WAR ALL GOD DAMN TIME, the french were one of victorious states after the war, the French surrender was not an official surrender of french state but merely a contract put forth by french collaborators and right-wing extremists who had wet dreams about power.

Do you even history ? Anti communist ?

ALSO there are so many awesome french tanks both real, prototype and concept-stage-only tanks waiting to be implemented !

        Somua SM
        Renault G1R
        Lorraine G1L
AMX M4 48′ and 49′ (conceptual designs in case oscillating turrets prove unreliable, yes, french knew it’s a tricky thing to design)
        AMX 65t
        AMX Chasseur de Char
        Lorraine AC
        AMX 45
AMX 30 (and its prototype right after Europa panzer program split from which Leopard prototypes come too)

and of course the French propaganda behemoths the FCM F1 and FCM 2C both were bigger in dimensions than even Maus

I hope you’re GOD DAMN TROLL because people can’t be this stupid to speak about such things without actual knowledge.

        • Except 1940, tell me when and where did French TANKS fought under ANY French flag?

          • I was thinking to post an entire list of AMX 13 and AMX 30 conflicts but I came up with better response since you can google them or even try wiki.

When and where did Soviet IS-8, IS-7, IS-4 etc. fought under Soviet flag?

When and where did German E-100,E-75,E-50 fought under ANY german flag ?

When and where did British Black Prince, Caernarvon, Conqueror and FV 215 fought under ANY commonwealth flag ?

When and where did American M103 , T110 E5, T32, T29 fought under US or ANY state flag ?

I choose only few heavy tanks but the list goes on throughout all branches of every nation.
Srsly… do you even logic ?

          • Various points after Operation Torch, IIRC – both before and after the Vichy troops defected en masse. And if you want to be a stickler I suppose the R35s recaptured during the Paris uprising count since the Resistance technically represented the governement-in-exile to a degree.

          • They fought in the Low Countries and France, then some were deployed to North Africa by Vichy France until they were annexed by Germany after they became tired of Vichy French authorities not cooperating with certain things put forth by their de facto allies (namely the Holocaust).

            • Half the Vichy establishement pretty much considered the hostilities to be only temporarily suspended and aside from being obstructive as fuck to the Germans went to quite creative lenghts to try and prepare for their eventual renewal, not always bothering to inform their superiors about either. In the event the political leadership opted against getting men killed in futile gestures and told the troops to stay in the barracks when the Germans decided to annex the Zone libre in ’42, but the various secret stockpiles were quite useful for the Resistance (in metropolitan France) and the Free French (in N. Africa) alike.

        • I hope there will be a Premium French Med eventually. It would be nice to have a fun crewtrainer for my BatChat.

      • Lol and where the WWII take place?
And what inspire the russian tank?

So stop we have enough russian tank for 3 years of update !

      • 1. We (the French) were in WWII, retard.
        2. The tree is obviously lacky.
        3. German and Russian trees are full as fuck.
        4. We want the AMX 30 already.

    • Because the French were out of World War II within 6 weeks of being invaded.

They simply don’t have enough tanks to fill in the middle tiers (there’s plenty of material for tiers 2-3 and tiers 7-10, but the question of what to have in tiers 4-6 remains unanswered).

      • The various G1 submissions and planned “next gen” B1 modernisations immediately spring to mind…

        • Okay you got me there, but I mean tanks that WG would consider to be different enough to warrant being separate tanks (and we all know that their opinion of what “too similar” means is variable, and tends to be biased towards the Soviets and Chinese for the most part).

          • Uhhhhhh… how about going and taking a look at the critters I’m referring to? They’re… QUITE… different from the G1 B and B1 bis in varius ways.

  10. I don’t know what do people expect SerB to say about WT?! Ofc he won’t say that their ground units are better! He needs to deny and be skeptical or he wouldn’t be working at WG anymore. Also his statement about Gaijin having a good engine(his reason for WT tanks to look better)…Well WG, you could make another engine and not use that bigwhatever piece of shit in the first place.

    • BIGWORLD engine is not GFX engine.

It’s a cloud computing engine, read about thing before you start stating what’s better and what’s not.

I’ll also add that even if WT has better graphics it won’t make everyone run this game. not everyone has money to spend on high-end PC

      • You don’t need a high-end pc to run WT, it is well optimized enough to run well even on older systems. You can even enable “old videocard support” if you have problems making it work with the lowest settings.

But then again, you can’t install it on a 6+ years old PC and expect that it will work miracles.

      • Both on minimal gfx settings WT actually runs quite a bit better than WoT for me. Just saying…

    • WT solution isn’t better, just different. WT engine does a lot of calculations clientside. That makes a lot of things simplier, but it also makes the engine hackable. There are WT hacks out there too, serious hacks that is (speedhack f.x.). Everything has its pros and cons. ATM WT tanks look much better, but it was just a demo. Will have to see how it works.

      • WT has realistic vision system ? .. Lol just mod the enemy tank to have huge markers hanging over it or fireworks flying out of it or something :P

      • Only hack I could find(because WG circlejerkers are saying how WoT is unhackable and how WT will be hack paradise) was infinite WEP for planes. Which is a hack but not that serious and they will fix it hopefully.

        • “Hacks” for WT are not technically hacks, they’re skins etc., like the mod that removed bushes from WoT but left markers on the ground(so you did knew where’s the enemy tank but it was easier to hit its weakspots) – it’s similar thing, the problem is – it’s more dangerous when you don’t have server side spotting and all tanks are bright red because “I personally do like that colour and that’s why I have full bright red skins for every single tank”.

      • Stop talking out of your arse Silentstalker.

The cheating situation in WT is essentially the same as in WoT because the important stuff (aircraft characteristics, hit detection) is done on the server. Sot he statement that there are speedhacks for WT is compelte bollocks.

The Dagor Engine is just that much better. Heck, Bigworld doesn’t even have proper multicore support.

      • It looks better but from what i saw from the igromir demo its just like Counte-strike with tanks. At least the arcade game mode, even more arcadey than WoT. Dunno about the historical one.

I had hoped they went the historical path, but seeing KV-1′s whizzing so fast makes me skeptical.

  11. - there are plans for new hangars, Storm states he doesn’t know any details because he’s at home, but he really dislikes the non-premium hangar: “It looks like a torture room”

Well its october its fits the theme

    • Funny… the Great Socialistic Revolution of 1917 in October actually happened on the 7th of November (of Gregorian Calendar system, which means that it really was 25th of October in Russia, because they used the Iullian Calendar system at that time) :D
      Best regards,
      Hustodemon

  12. Anyone have a guess about this years christmas tank?
im gussing its the unreleased british tier 2 tank from ftr supertest leaks few post away.

    • Srsly ? You know how many low-tiers were already leaked in various trailers etc. ? And guess what, none were given to us for free. All that we got for free was never leaked before.

These guys are terrified now. WT effectively killed WoWP before it got out of alpha. Judging by how everyone’s excited for the tanks in WT, it can do the same there. The thing that’s interesting about WT is that it proves how much of hacks WG’s devs are. They’ve implemented far more modes/features into WT in far less time, while looking and sounding exponentially better. And, in the case of WT vs WoWP, WT actually being fun to play.

The grass is indeed greener on the other side SerB. And it’s also rendered with better image quality unlike the crap in WoT. Can’t wait to see WG hit panic mode and see how they react. Will they fight back, or just cut and run like typical russian dev teams?

    • Yeah, yeah. Cuddle yourself to sleep with that thought if it helps and leave for those greener pastures already.

      • Special K, why so soggy? You mad bro? Mad that WT shit all over WoWP and made it irrelevant before it left alpha? Mad that WT tanks can possibly do the same to WoT bro? Or mad that you’re a joke and your opinion holds as much value as mine or anyone elses bro? Get over yourself.

        • Says the obsessive-compulsive. (Also could care less about WoWP one way or another, not a flight sim guy.)

      • I must admit, what I have seen already from WT tanks has got me a little excited. And about what SerB said about having plains and tanks in the same battle.. I guess he was not really paying attention, as it did not look easy for the ground attack plains to find and kill targets, as they dont show up with any marker for the plains to easily spot.

and as for speeding up tanks to 60 kmh and slowing plains down… wtf is SerB smoking? The speed of the plains will make it all the more harder to spot and kill tanks as you can only really see the ground unites when close and will have such little time to react.

Also tanks can use cover from trees to help mask them from airplanes. So ground attack plains will not be having so easy a time of it, and not to forget, they have to do all this while risking being jumped on by fighters.

If all else fails and you still don’t like the idea of being attacked by bombers, then I think i heard mention of being able to play in tanks only mode.

I am not a fan of the spotting system in WoT. I don’t like how unrealistic arty is, and It almost drove me to leave the game before arty got nerfed, the game was so boring when people camped in fear of dying seconds after being spotted… Something had to be done about it, and the game is a lot better now.

But I think WT may be more to my liking, just going by the little I have, and I am really hopeful that they don’t start adding lots of blueprint tanks and even ones that were only mentioned as being possible but not even put onto blueprint…

I wonder how fare they will go with WT, they have jets so I am guessing we will be seeing T-54′s, Pattons and Centurions.. I hope so!

(so long as the T-54 has the historical 100 mm hull and not the bull*** 120 mm hull)

      • Yep, and I assume they would probably cut and run since nearly all software made by russian, and quasi-russian devs are cash smash and grabs. Developed all on pirated software.

        • That’s not a very nice thing to say of the people working hard to bring you the Messiah Game that will deliver you from evil and bring you rapture.

          • I call it like I see it. WG is a bunch of amateurs, doing a smash and grab. Gaijin is superior to WG in every way possible, but I still see them flaking out at the drop of a hat.

  14. no submarines in WoWS? but if we are talking WW2 era subs they also functioned as gunships, they were more practical as Submersibles but they could hold their own in a surface fire fight as an ambusher. they had the guns and torpedoes to, and were often mistaken for merchant ships, you don’t have to make them submersible, but it’d be nice to see them in some form in the game, even if they could be the Premium “TD” of that game. I’m using “TD” as a reference point since they are powerful ambushers with high camo rating which is what a Sub pretty much is nautical wise.

    • Please, even the wimpiest destroyer would outgun them several times over to speak nothing of fire-control and what have you. And there doesn’t need to be too many shell-holes in the pressure hull before diving becomes an one-way prospect…

Also, there’s a *reason* naval jargon reads ASW as “Awfully Slow Warfare”.

      • Head a story of where a soviet sub came across a german transport . It was too shallow for torpedoes and the deck gun jammed . they sank the transport with the antiaircraft gun . after 400 shells.

          • Given what some parts of the southern Baltic coastline are like there may well have been an entire damn sandbar in the way… anyways, AFAIK it was something of an universal SOP to avoid wasting torpedoes on unarmed ships unless there were pressing reasons to (usually read as “escorts”). Even big subs only carried like a dozen or so “fishes” – no surprise given the sheer size of the damn things – whereas AA gun shells, scuttling charges and suchlike tended to be in good supply.

        • It was pretty common for subs to use their cannons on merchant ships, it’s not like they were armored or designed to deal with dozens of holes at the waterline, and you had much more of a guarantee of a hit compared to torpedoes.

  15. - SerB states that there will be no submarines in WoWs, because they would have to be even less realistic than WoT arty

Yet there were I-400s in the promo video.

    • If it’s the video I’m thinking of, it’s a hoax, footage from Battlestations Pacific, with subs. It says it the promo for World of Warships, but it’s fan made and has caused a lot of Confusion.
As a naval historian, I’m very glad no subs in WoWS,
      Appy/Samantha

  16. - SerB states that three branches for each class in one nation are practically out of the question (for example 3 top arties), but it’s possible some classes will have three vehicles on the same tier, such as Object 430, Object 140 and T-62A.

Does this mean that there will be no (complete) third US TD line or third German TD line in future, but there may be three US Tier 10 tank destroyers for example?

  17. - midtier arty buffs: “Most likely the shell velocity will be increased. And aim time lowered. But not much. We’ll see in the test. Top tier arties will most likely not be buffed.”

I hope the slow-motion shells for the Grille will be buffed, it has a speed about 200 m/sec (800 m = 4 sec)

  18. Hacks in WT are not possible because all relevant data is server side.

The videos about WT hacks are all fake but still people believe they are real.

For example “the dropping endless bombs” hack is just some kind of fast repeated bomb animation,
but it dont realy happens ingame. Speed of planes is also not hackable because its calculated server side.

  19. the improved graphics in WoT will include clearly visible welds, rivets, round roadwheels/barrels, segmented tracks, camouflage without current restrictions, modelled bottom of the tanks, independent suspension, stuff hanging on tanks (tools, boxes) flying off when hit, moving antennas, more realistic tank movement and other interesting stuff. “If someone thinks we are sleeping here, he is mistaken……. Too late………..
    Look this XDDDDDDDD http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7tQmJZ4tSg8&feature=c4-overview&list=UUpnjlvS2zxhbNJuGNo_TxkQ

    • Instead fapping hard about WT how about wait and see how actually WoT and WT ground unfold itself? Keep in mind while both WG and Gajin are entering into new genres for themselves – air/flying games for WG and ground based for Gajin.

Also realistic mode – I think we had it in Red Orchestra already. And driving 10 minutes to nearest flag just to be popped by hidden StuG/IS-2/whatever, as well guessing “these 3 pixels are our own tank or their?”

  20. ” Also, SerB wanted to make historical battles before cybersports, but he was outvoted on that.”

    Wow, that happens?

  21. regarding KV-1S: there is a variant of short-barrel 122mm derp KV-1S being introduced as a premium tank, but SerB states he might introduce it as a regular tank

wat? isnt this KV-1S config already ingame?

  22. ‘SerB wanted to make historical battles before cybersports, but he was outvoted on that.’

For once I wish SerB wasn’t outvoted :( I really want histoical battles, couldn’t give a shit about e-penis crap.

  23. An ongoing evaluation is underway in the World of Warships forum regarding interactions between surface vessels and submarines, that is currently taking an objective view. Initial evaluations have already determined submarines have a limited role capability. However, we are still conducting further evaluations, which will provided data across four decades. We finished a preliminary evaluation between the Fletcher DD and two late-model submarines, the Russian 99 and the German Type 21. In our initial conclusions, we are seeing both pros and cons for submarine inclusion, but there is still more work to be done. You can read more about this in the forums.

  24. “How terrible. Demo-version, barely working on i7 with – if I noticed correctly – “bricks” instead of damage models is naturally better.”

Just laughing my ass off, that guy goes around the whole question, picking on other flaws he finds. Basically he admits that the tanks DO look better on WT.

  25. - SerB makes a correction: maximum tier for premium light tank is 7, there will be no premium tier 8 LT

    Type 62

  26. Rounding the number can be an Oprah pick: the present involving looking at. In fact, winter months is the perfect a chance to draw in with your coziest lounge chair and devour a bit of great literature.
