World of Tanks for Xbox going live in February

Hello everyone,

Wargaming recently released an information that the Xbox beta servers for World of Tanks will go offline on January 29th in order to prepare for final release, that is apparently scheduled within few days from this event. There is no definitive date yet, but it most likely will happen in the beginning of February.

    Good luck WG. Decent bussines move for the US bad in the long term. Splitting the community and limiting yourself to a console…

    • how are they splitting the community? those who dont have a PC capable of running WoT can play it on their xbox if they have one, those who have a PC that can play WoT and they’ve already gone far into the game will most likely not switch to the xbox version.

      • If you can afford console gaming, then you ABSOLUTELY can afford PC gaming.
        And as long as I can not play with the Xbox players whilst I am on my PC, then it is splitting.

    • OK. Can you tell me how much more you have made then WG the previous year due to your good business decisions? OK, maybe you run a small fresh startup, lets make a different analysis. By how many % more have your revenue increased during the last 2 years compared to WG?

      • Just leave the idiot, all he can say is utter shit. He just keeps complaining about world of tanks, no matter what. I really wonder why he keeps playing it. Its more then a year already, it started on overlords blog. I haven’t seen a single positive word of him.

      • WG keeps alive not because of their “sound ” (not) business decisions, but because WoT is popular
        if WoT would not be popular, WG would be still an unknown name in the industry just as it was prior to WoT

        case and point – just as they commissioned WoWp
        how this works for them? very bad; this game will not turn a profit for them, not now, not in 3 years time – because the number of people playing it is very very small

        at this hour, prime-time for EU, there are ~4800 people connected on WoWp EU server
        it’s direct competitor, at the same time, WarThunder boasts 50k connected players on EU
        at the same time, WoT EU (1+2) has ~207k connected players

        now, let’s get back to why WoT XBox edition was a terrible business decision:
        - aimed at a single console
        - aimed at a last-gen console
        - you need XBLA gold subscription to play multiplayer games, WoT XBox is not an exeption
        - people who bought the next-gen consoles will most likely disregard the old XBox 360 – because they invested time and money into the new console already
        - “have you seen TitanFall ? “

    srsly who cares for lastgen? well WG sure does. it optimzed WoT for medevil PC setups aswell.

  7. I’d forgotten about the 360 version of the game. Does this mean they have tier ten trees yet, or still limited to tier 6?
