  1. I wish my elc would stop as fast as this tank when im about to hit a maus xD But anyway, what tank is this..?

  2. Haha, how do you stop a swedish tank. You use a ICA truck filled with surströmming. No swede tanker in his right mind would risk such an enviromental disaster.

  3. We used to have a little green Skoda pickup. When we moved we sold it to some guy, not expecting to ever see it again.
Then suddenly while reading an online newspaper: “Tank runs over car”
Look at the picture… I know that car, and I definately remember the lisence plate.

What had happend was that the guy who bought the car had forgotten to pull the parking brake when he parked on a hill. At the bottom of the hill there was a blind junction and on this particular day the army decided to move a tank to another site.
And all the planets aligned making the car roll down the hill and into the junction at JUST the same time as the tank.

Noone was injured but the car became a true compact.

  4. Haha.
I would have shot after the truck for not paing attention to the tank which by the way had the STOP sign in front. :)
Tanks have supreme priority no matter what. Everyone should stop what they are doing and let the tank be… After all there are big boys inside them driving (boys toys). :)

      • I’m sorry. I keep forgetting not to post messages containing irony because for some it’s really difficult to understand.
Besides this, your posts are really immaculate and intelligent.

          • Retardation? Do you people even know what retarded actually means or you just use it cause 99% of the people online does so?
I don’t even own a facebook account. Don’t have time for that.

  5. We had a large accident involving a truck and a Leo 2 during a winter excersize in 2011, Norway.
I was a bit further down the road helping another tank that had broke its front idler unit clean off, and didn’t catch the actual crash, but it was pretty obvious who had pulled the short straw when we later passed by the scene of the accident.

The huge truck had its whole front caved in and a big hole trough the cabin where the barrel had gone trough. Driver was flown to the hospital with serious injuries, but survived.

The driver of the Leopard later claimed there didn’t even spill a drop of coffee from his cupholder during the crash. They later had to do a recalibration of the gun to check for any damage to the barrel, but apart from that nothing but chipped paint.

    • When I was in the army we had one of the jeeps in my company have his side mirrors and even the turn indicator light crushed by one of our Leos. It was that close. Had it been 10cm further to the left the car would have gotten crushed, along with the driver of course

  6. its not a tank but a trooptransport vehicle. This the same crap the Dutch army got in return for their Leopard 2s! Next time dont call this garbage a tank but by its name, this stuff srsly hurts some people calling it a tank.

  7. Looks like the Swedish army is a really amateur operation. When tanks (or any kind of armored vehicle or column really) cross roads with traffic there should be Military Police or at least a couple of soldiers with flags to watch for civilian traffic.

    • Dude, traffic in Sweden? I bet 50% of the county population can be seen in that video.

      • It doesn’t matter. Preventing accidents (and damage to very expensive military equipment) should be taken very seriously.

  8. The tank should obey the traffic sign, or maybe tank driver thought it’s only applicable to wheeled vehicles. But the truck driver should also be aware of the tank and maybe slowed down a little just to be safe what would that tank do since it got on the position earlier than him. But not sure on swedes traffic rules so maybe the highway road like the road of truck driver always take priority and should not stop and let others cross

    • It’s the tank driver’s fault for not obeying the signal (to my knowledge, in all countries, traffic signals apply to all kinds of vehicles, civilian or otherwise). Furthermore, whoever is the officer in command of the mission failed for not taking the necessary precautions for this.

  9. The dude that named(posted) the video is a bit of a moron…
“truck almost hit a tank”…dafuq…the tank almost hit the truck because the driver was idiot enough to not check for the stop sign…

  10. The story behind this is actually that the drivers headset stopped working and he couldnt hear the tank commander order halt at the road.

  11. My dad almost crashed into an american tank that popped out of nowhere once. Good thing they didnt shoot!
