Hello everyone,

Storm is asking for the 9.3 feedback – new tanks, reworked Murovanka, new AFK punishment system, hangar interface and others.

So, those of you who tested, what do you think?

From the discussion:

- the new hangar interface doesn’t show the amount of people online on the server, Storm considers this not needed
- Storm apparently does not consider the T49 152mm derp “imbalanced” (“You have a gun like that on tier 5″)
- Storm states that noone is really expecting the new hangar UI to work in 1024*768 resolution (lack of space)
- in 9.3, the suicide detection system is apparently a bit bugged: the artillery, that shoots an enemy at close range and the splash kills it too now counts as “suicide”, while it should not be so.

  3. They need to rethink the role of the M41 and the T71. So far I find that The M41 is Superior to the T71 except for the size. The camo rating is even slightly better(I think?). 1500 Potential is ridiculous, even a T8 Medium T69 have 960 potential only and only having a slightly shorter reload. If they gonna keep the M41 stats, they better do something on the T71 or even as a whole the T57 line.

    • It is relative tbh. Same as with any other scout you cant really influence games on city maps unless your team stomps the enemies and you can sneak in for some damage. Frontally you wont do shit to T8 heavies. And 56000 for a gold clip will be a very expensive damage farm while the 13 90 can do the same, but twice cheaper lol :)

      • On the other hand given 13 90 gun accuracy, you won’t actually hit the majority of those gold rounds…

  4. - M41 is overpowered. Current tier 7 lights (maybe with the exception of T71) are a joke compared to this
    - give T-54 light slightly better reload (0.5 seconds)
    - reload of T37′s autoloader is too long (half DPM wtf)
    - tanking bonus xp is bugged (I have seen a 9k base xp screenshot somewhere)
    - and it’s a really bad idea in the first place for a number of reasons
    - T49 is actually rather weak. I think it should get a decent 90 mm option.
    - T49′s stock gun ammo choices are pointless. Why would anyone ever use the HE ammo, if you get HESH with the exact same effect but better penetration?
    - buff penetration of 152 mm HEAT to at least 200
    - looking at the hp of the new lights, WZ-132 is in dire need of a hit point buff (1100 – 1150)
    - KV-85 100 mm is too strong. Nerf reload (0,5 sec) and dispersion.
    - nerf aiming time on KV-1S 122 mm howitzer

    • - buff penetration of 152 mm HEAT to at least 200 . STFU we don need more gold whores raping random

    • HESH and HE on T49 have not the same amount of damage (710/950). At lightly armored target or the flank or rear of most tanks, it’s better to fire HE actually.
      Doing +1000 damage to a WaffenTrager is not possible with HESH (without ammo rack).

      • I’m talking about the stock gun. HE ammo on the stock gun is completely pointless. It is identical to the standard HESH/HEP ammo except for worse penetration.

        Shouldn’t this gun be able to fire the AP rounds used on the T69? They fire the same HE shell after all.

    • M41 is not overpowered. You will never get 20 seconds to dump a clip on the live server unless ur sitting behind arty. WZ131, M41, LTTB and T71 are fairly well balanced. LTTB is fast and fun but -3 gun depression will kill it on the live server. WZ131 and T71 are the best pure scouts for spotting as I believe they will have better camo and they are smaller than M41 and LTTB.

      T49 is weakest tier 8, but it will be the most played because the derp gun is very fun and also very effective at close ranges. It does 300 damage very regularly against any tier 10 medium, but with HE it never penetrates from side or front. I just put a side shot into Batchat for 300 without pen. No reason to shoot prem HE as it’s only 10 more PEN so WG needs to buff it or nobody will use it. I would love to see the HEAT buffed to 200 PEN, but that would make it OP. Maybe buff the HEAT to 175 and then I might shoot it, but as it is I would fire only HE so I am guaranteed 300 rather than bounce. T49 90MM gun PEN of 102 is really a joke so WG is saying, 152MM ONLY!

      At tier 8, T54L’s heavy armor is useless so it seems equal to WZ132′s better speed and prob better camo. RU is prob the best at tier 8 with better speed, pen and good GD, but only slightly better.

      The best gun on the T37 and M41 are the regular guns since they fire only 1 second slower and then you don’t have to wait 20-30 seconds for clip. You can also switch back and forth to premium/regular ammo easier.

      Overall, all the new lights are very good, unique and fairly well balanced.

      • the t54 lights armor isn’t useless it’s just that all but maybe 1 enemy that’s actually trying to test the tanks are firing gold which that mixed with everyone yoloing around the map like crazy makes it near impossible to truly test anything accurately I have bounced many regular rounds with it and including an e100 waffle.

      • Agree with this. The autoloader is gimmicky. The top gun, non-autoloading, is the best option by far. Not only do you get much better overall DPM, you also get much better handling, superior depression, and as was said the ability to switch ammo types in 3 seconds instead of 20.

        I’ll never use the autoloader. It’s a joke. I think it’s hilarious that people say it’s OP because the autoloader when the autoloader’s not even the best option for the tank.

        The M41 is not OP. It is a fantastic little (Well, it’s kinda’ big…) passive scout and fast flanker/attacker. I love it. I absolutely adore it.

        The T49 is not OP. The T49 is very, very underpowered. The derp gun is useless unless you’re just wanting to be stupid. and you aren’t really playing to be effective, but instead just derping around. The semi-smoothbore is useless with it’s current ammo config. Yes, the semi-smoothbore only had 3 ammo types (HEP, HEAT, HE) but something needs to be done. Give it the 90mm M41 back or something. As it is now, it’s the new Konish. It must use gold ammo to be effective. And Wargaming’s going to bank on that.

        That’s wrong.

    • the gun on the t54 light already reloads faster than the wz-132 on top of having phenomenally better armor and very VERY slightly less mobility I don’t think it needs even more of a buff.

    I often play team battle using auto-search function to practice when my clan is offline. Not needed ? It is ! How long could one spend in search queue for absolutly nothing not knowing that there is only 2-4k players on the server at the moment and not even 2 whole complete team online. (just one example)

    To me, this is removing control from client side to put it on WG side.

    Damn it, how are we gonna blame the low ammount of players at certain moments as the cause bad matchmaking :)

    • It is there you just have to click on the new icon in the top left.
      It just does not show by default in the main garage screen. I admit I always check the # online (ASIA server…) so it will take some getting used to.

      • Phew, I thought it’s gone altogether.

        Well, let’s hope moders will come with some garage UI mods. Moders always do it better than wg devs anyways.

    - Minsk (WG RU) actually listens a significant deal to the feedback from Russian server, especially some employees such as the Chieftain. They mostly ignore Europe to the point of just ignoring some allegedly really good ideas. It’s mostly pointless to propose any changes or suggestions on European server.

    Its decent. Implement back amount of people, I use it to dis on Console players.

    Also, implement garage pick screen. Good idea it was!

  8. I think its great that artillery splash-killing themselves be punished. I would consider this a nice bonus feature rather than a bug :-)

    • You are right, well waited feature — the same should be applied for players that keep drawn themselves: mostly doggy arty drivers !!! — I drive very little my only crappy arty but I would never drawn myself.

  9. since wargaming seems to only pay attention to obscure russian websites that need to be translated, why are none of these russian fucking idiots that use these websites asking why tanks like the wz-132 and amx 13 75 are getting completely fucked by this power creep?

      • i totally understand why they’re doing it, and it’s making me lose interest in the game to be honest. it’s just puzzling that we’ve had all this information about the light tanks coming and now have had time to test them, and yet nobody that asks questions on these russian websites seems to understand or give a shit that some current tier 7/8 tanks are getting completely fucked.

    • Really good point — not sure about the wz-132 because I dont have it but it seems that the amx is now too slow and its lack of gun depression make it a tricky tank to drive after 9.3

    • Except that they’re not getting fucked over by the power creep.

      Sure, all the new tanks have some great advantages over the old ones, but they also have weaknesses that the old ones don’t have.

      It’s actually kind of an illusion, see the AMX 13-90 and WZ-132, currently, are very powerful tanks, and so are the new ones coming in. It isn’t a question of the new ones being more powerful than the old ones as much as it is the fact that the WZ and AMX only had themselves to compete against, and so were very powerful, not as a result of their own attributes, but rather as a result of having a void of tier VIII light tanks.

      I.E. we were using them to fill roles they weren’t meant to fill because we didn’t have anything else to use.

      Basically, those two tanks could pretty much do whatever they wanted because there weren’t any other light tanks that were better, or worse, than themselves. The AMX can be used, currently, as an all purpose tank, that just happens to have an auto-loader, in 9.3 it will only be able to function well as a hit and run auto-loader, because now there are tanks that fill the other roles better. Same for the WZ, it’s still a good all-purpose tank, but the RU-251 can out run it, and the T-54 has better armor and maneuverability. The T-49 is worse in terms of mobility, but has a howitzer to make up for that, and is stuck being able to only fire explosive shells.

      So, the reason that the old light tanks appear to be suffering isn’t because the new tanks are more powerful, but because their roles have been reduced from everything, down to one specific role. The new lights are the same way, they can’t do everything, they each have one specific role, and it is the presence of other tanks with other roles that define the role that each tank has.

      • Agree. I like to see that they put variety in these new lights since everyone has something different performance wise. Iam tho almost 100% sure that the Walker B. autoloader will be cut down to 8 shells in clip to match the DPM of 13 90. The T49 seems fine balance wise and so does the T54 light, but the RU251 could use some more gun depression for its lack of armor atleast.

        • RU251 actually has great gun depression, but the thing is it sucks at the front of the tank. On sides it’s great though.

      • Don’t try and tell me that they’re balanced compared to the current lights because that’s far from the case the t54 lightweight gets every advantage of the wz-132 plus better gun depression plus over twice the armor the t49 while yes the amx 1390 has near the same damage potential in a single clip that takes time to unload mean exposing yourself longer plus it also gets gun depression and the ru251 is practically a sports car version of the leopards with full camo on the move.

        • The WZ has much better ground resistance than the T-54. It’s also faster forwards, in reverse, and to rotate it’s hull. It has better braking force, and gun elevation, and the SAME gun depression as the T-54.

          The WZ’s 100 mm gun is better than the T-54′s in all ways except ROF, which is better on the T-54, but the 85 mm gun has better ROF, and DPM than the T-54. Also better accuracy and aim time than it’s own 100 mm gun.

          Also, I just mentioned it above, but the WZ has a choice of two very good guns, which allows you to tailor it to what you like, in a way that others don’t. The T-54 only has a 100 mm gun, and then a slightly better version of the same thing, the T-49 is stuck with explosive shells on both of it’s guns, and the RU-251 only has the one gun.

          As far as the Leo 1 goes, yes, the RU-251 is much faster than it is, but the Leo is also a medium tank, it’s not supposed to be as fast as any of the light tanks. If it was, it would entirely defeat the purpose of even having any light tanks to begin with. The Leo 1 does, however, have better armor (though not by much), considerably better firepower, more hit points, as well has having much better braking force, and hull traverse.

          Currently there are things with the french heavy and medium auto-loaders that you just can’t do, because there are other tanks that prevent them from being able to do those things effectively. Currently the AMX 13-90 can get away with all of those things, even though it has an auto-loader as well, why? because until patch 9.3, there aren’t any equal tier light tanks capable of keeping it from being able to do those things.

          Things that, as an auto-loader, it doesn’t really have any business doing. You will have to be a lot more careful, and you will not be able to approach a T-49 from the front without getting slaughtered. The point is that you will have to pick your moment more carefully, waiting until the T-49 fires, and then popping up and clipping him.

          Basically, there is going to be a lot more interplay between all of the light tanks. Will the WZ be as useful in all of the situations that it is useful in now? No, but it will still be useful in some of them. Will any of the new tanks be useful in as many situations as the WZ is now? No, of course not, that’s why you can say that the old lights aren’t going to lose their usefulness. If the new tanks COULD do that, then yes, the old ones would be buried and totally pointless, but that didn’t happen. That is, the new tanks are outstripping the old ones in only a few specific areas, while still leaving them with a few things that they are better at than the new ones. Which is as it should be, since no tank should ever be the “end all that is all” of any given tank type.

  10. - Chaffee: Gun cannot hit when moving — great engine sounds
    - T37: This tank is a joke — slower than a medium — why not to keep the same stats that the current Chaffee has with a worse gun? – There is a bug when loading ammo for the auto-cannon — The tank can only carry 48 shells !!! but in the hangar you have to buy 50 … in the game I had 40 AP & 8 APCR shells !!!
    - RU-251 – I Love it
    - LBBT – Good gun, the MT-25 moves better but with this gun the tier 7 can be fun to drive … I love the MT-25 but 85 dmg is far too low.

    - Sounds – Gun sounds are good
    - Map change: Great — keep changing maps, for good or bad. Variety is good.
    - Performance: Bad — I use the same settings I use in the live server — I normally get 70-90 fps depending the map. In version 9.3 when there is a lot of action the client seems to keep the fps still high but struggles to render the client smoothly, there is a lot of ‘jumps’. There is something wrong.

    Need to try the new KV-85 and KV-1S and the rest of lights.

  11. LT-54 is crap.
    LTTB = T-50-2.
    T49 – fun tank, hard to handle.
    Ru 251 – nice mini sniper.
    Murovanka finally fixed!
    UI is nice, especially platoon part.

    • I did not drive the T-50-2 but the LTTB does not feel that fast, the MT-25 handles better. It looks that the LTTB have some armor though. Xmas wish: Give me a MT-25 with the gun of the LTTB — I will be a happy kid.

      • The LTTB is better, these new lights are mostly medium tanks with very little armor, in good hands they can be fatal. The MT-85 is the wasp of the battle field, it is annoying but it cannot do too much. It should get a buff to 125 dmg at least, like the american guns in tier 5-6.

  12. who the fuck thought muffling gun sounds in sniper mode made any sense? if you’re in sniper mode, you’re looking through the eyes of the gunner or commander inside the tank and since you’re inside a tank that’s shooting a large caliber round, it’s going to make a shit ton of noise.

    • well with my limited knowledge in guns :
      sounds from firing a gun mostly came out from the barrel (all those gas generated when the gunpowder being ignited) and the sonic boom of the bullet (of course, provided that the projectile is super sonic), and a tank cannon is probably the same I guess.
      Thus, it should be louder outside the tank.

  13. SS any info on Stronghold? Why it’s not available on Test server? I mean you press the stronghold button and a message appears “connecting” and nothing happens.

    It looks like those damages have been reduced to ~30% of their previous value…

    On Westfield, you can one-shot a Batchat with E-50M in 9.2, but you will only deal 600 hp to him in 9.3, in the same conditions.

    ? what is he talking about? i tested it just now and everything seems in order. Wasnt he the one who said the majority of russian players have pretty bad computers? and still use XP. Id figure 1024×768 is still a standard for them. Heck i see alot of russian players on Steam still using 1024×768, 1280×1024 resolutions.

    • I hope you are right. I had to stop playing WoWP because they removed 1024×768 support in v1.3. My little monitor works perfectly well in game, it would be rediculous to remove support for it, just for the bit where you pick your tank.

    Havent seen so many ammorack-explosions in weeks. Is there a change I dont know???

    • Cant say about this, but i did an epic ammo-racking of the M41 Walker bulldog in Fjord with the T110E3 on test server. The turret fell into the lake & SANK.. Oh boy that was lovely.

  19. This is what happened when i played. The medals are all wrong sometimes. I burn down a tank & i receive the medal for ammo-rack ?

    Also i personally think team-damage related to HE shells should work differently.

    Like a few minute back on the normal server, i save an IS6 by destroying an IS3 with my KV2 152mm derp. IS6 gets splash-damaged of 80 health. Although its team-damage no doubt, but it wasnt deliberate obviously. So non-deliberate team-damage espcecially due to High-Explosive shells should be reworked. This is my thought btw.

    Also the above phenomena is naturally very rare.

  20. i definetly lajk the new light tanks they are welcome change to existing ones,.but i have little bit more of that 9.0 lags and twitchines i don’t now mybe it’s test srver but it’s worse then now in 9.2..they should look in to that and not realese lagy shit..

  21. I think the suicide detection system could be better… I was in my Centurion on Malinovka and I drove over the edge of the cliff and died because I was on low health. I got a warning but I actually did this because I had 3 enemy tanks surrounding me just waiting to reload. I was gonna die anyway up on the hill so I thought that maybe I could survive the drop. It wasnt like I drove off the cliff at full speed. I barely made it over the edge because I was so slow (engine damage). It was my one chance to survive. I think the game should not punish you for putting up a fight like I did, but I’m not sure if it can be done.

  22. I just love how most of the commentators talk about the removal of the number of people on the server. I presume all of those people and most of the people in general didn’t have the patience to go through the tutorial at the begging explaining the new UI.

  23. Hard to test on test server, but in 9.2 chat window stops working. New messages are discarded. Both private and clan chat. Happens randomly.

  24. fast mediums, lights, and arties should have more leniency than tds and heavies. driving around in the leo1 and cliff diving at the end of the battle to get the last kill obviously isn’t intentional self inflicted damage. along with trying to bail out of a position on low health and dying from the fall instead, the system could be better.

      It didn’t say he’s asking for feedback from the EU community. You might as well ask why SS included this bit of translation, based on your comment.

  26. I think the tier 5 KV-1S needs a slight retreat speed buff. 14-15 kph should be enough.
    KV-1 has a faster retreat speed and it makes no sense, as the KV-1S is more mobile.
    I understand the need for balance, but 11 in reverse is ridiculous.

    M41 is slightly OP. I personally T71 is the better tank, but M41 is overcompensating for the things it won’t do well as a scout because it’s too big. The reload time on that autoloader needs to be longer- and one shot removed. and It’s mobility should not be that massively much better than T49. I understand if it was a little more mobile- Because the t49 gets the 152, but anyway…. also the normal top gun should have a slight rof nerf.

    T37′s autoloader reload time IS a little long. 16-17 seconds for 5 shots at 115 damage sounds ok. It’s still much longer than 59-16.

    You need to make sure WZ-132 has advantages over T-54 lightweight, because it is basically the same thing but with less armour.
    I am guessing that WZ has better camo and mobility, but I’d need to check.

    The AMX 13 75 needs a 1 second reload time buff. in compensation for having less damage- gun depression- and pen than other autoloading scouts of its tier.

    I’m very annoyed that my very first accidental death I get flagged for. this new system needs to wait for me to start doing it on purpose before flagging me. It was supposed to be three times. and was supposed to go away if you weren’t doing it on purpose.

    I can’t think of anything else off the top of my head. good day. :)

    • Actually I just looked and KV-1′s reverse speed is slower, scratch that. I do think that a 12 reverse speed would be better though- for the tier 5 KV-1S

  28. Storm doesn’t give a fuck about EU, EU doesn’t give a fuck about Storm. Even if we provided feedback only thing that matters in the end is how much cash will it earn for WG.

    I remember something about a “collision” model or something????????

    I have rammed many other lights and seem to do almost no damage at all.

    I’m afraid Storm is VERY wrong on this. The information is absolutely crucial for many players in the Asia server region who have live with shitty Internet. Whenever the server approaches 20k cca the game becomes unplayable. Severe lag and packet loss. Tanks driving off cliffs and into the water. Shells flying miles off direction. Many players in my country (Malaysia) avoid playing between 8pm – 12mn (SG time) because this is when the problem is at it’s WORST.

    Whilst local ISP’s are mostly to blame, at least showing the number of players online gives us an idea of the ideal circumstances to play. To my knowledge, Malaysian players are badly affected by this problem but I have seen complaints by players from other neighboring countries as well.
