9.3 Test 3 Hotfixes

Hello everyone,

a rather quick “Test 3″ iteration was applied to the 9.3 test server. This iteration includes the following changes:

- Players who researched the M24 Chaffee received 43,340 experience points for this vehicle (SS: this is a compensation for the Chaffee XP price, this is NOT free XP, it is simply the XP difference between old and new Chaffee research cost)
- Display of current server name added to the top panel in the Garage
- Low performance when entering/exiting the Artillery mode fixed (was not included in iteration 1)
- Issues with visual models fixed for the following vehicles: KV-85, T-34, and M3 Lee
- Turret damage boxes for the T67 tank destroyer fixed
- Some crashes and hang-ups of the game client fixed
- Some issues with the Strongholds mode fixed

      • I’m litle unhappy about it – have 60k XP on M24 :-) – I could have 2% more on on my actual crew.
        By the way about Chaffee – have someone any idea, or possibility to find out if M24 will have that really cool awesome engine sound (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6_aLTWQh0mQ)? I mean sound from first 9.3 test. It was removed back to ordinary WOT engine sound in second and third test. If WG not use it, I will be realy sad.

        • Probably just sound test which will not be included this patch. Same as with Jackson and Hellcat in past.

  4. Why didn’t they give us an elited T37, insted of xp we will have to pay to convert anyway. I really don’t understand. But I guess it is better than nothing.

        • Harsh words there.

          Both vk28 and the replacement for t-50-2 are still cheaper exp wise at tier 6 than they were on tier 5.

          While they moved up a tier they got in fact nerfed, especially vk28, with their mm adjusted. In a way they were treated much like chaffee. If they’re giving exp for chafee they should do the same with the other 2 really.

  5. Well to be honest, they should actually put that XP compensation on the M5 Stuart. (you know the tank you actually used to grind said XP)
    So be happy it is on the Chaffee instead.
    First they said there would be no compensation….

  6. On the pach notes it says gun depression changed for Chaffee from -10 to -7 , but it’s Only -7 over a small area over the engine deck :P
    Wow we are on the 3rd version in one week?

  7. I am confused at what is meant by

    where is this exp placed, on the M5?

      • Aah, so for most, that will be able to be placed directly toward the T37, or just be convertible exp.

        I, on the other hand, will use it to upgrade the chaffee (it’s been sitting unused in my garage for a while.

        • Its really stupid. They do this AFTER telling us that they won’t be giving us any compensation (I was fine with none, the Chaffee was fun to play). So all of us who ran the Chaffee without Accelerated Crew Training to build up the required xp needed for the T37 get XP they have to pay WG to use. This really should be free XP or they should have told us a month ago. Even just telling us at the start of the test would have been alright.

          • I am pretty pleased, i forgot to uncheck he box and accidentally converted my chafee xp this morning :)

  9. Great. I made 29k xp on Chaffee just for the cause, and now will get twice as that.
    Needed like a bicycle for the fish.

    • i did the same, since theres light missions it wasnt a big deal but this kind of reward WG you can shove up your ass! compensating xp that I cant use unless i convert it with gold is equally as generous as giving no compensations at all.. so theres no difference to the previous sentence

  10. Most of us already got elite M24, so we are forced to pay to make ANY use of that exp?
    43340 exp = 1733 gold
    packet of 1790 gold – 8€
    8€ x millions of old players and SerB can buy new Moskvitch

    But no! Western capitalists don’t deserve FREE exp.

  11. There are a lot of people who play this game since so long that they already have elite Chaffee + unlocked M41 arty + thousands of exp on M24 waiting for the new T37 LT.
    Now what is WG saying to those old customers: “You must pay otherwise you won’t use this exp we give you as a bonus”.
    So complaining that they try every method to drain our wallets is actually “whining” or “voice of reason”?

  14. Would be nice if it was crew XP if ‘accelerated crew training’ was checked when the patch hits.

    Already have enough for the next tank, so I’ll just have a heap of XP sitting on the Chaffee doing little.
