Hello everyone,
the supertesters is currently busy with testing the new “referral” (player invite) program. Basically, if you invite a player:
If you and the player will play together (platoon), every “successful” battle, you will get XP bonuses of the following style (the multipliers are placeholders for supertest):
- for the first hour from first successful battle together – x3 XP (once, doesn’t reset)
- the following days, after the x3 period is over, it’s x2 XP
- after the recruiter gains 10000 referral (bonus) XP from the x2 event, it is reduced to x1,5
These bonuses add up to all the other XP bonuses (premium account, missions, first victory). Furthermore, the recruiter will be awarded for reaching X amount of referral XP as such (the numbers are placeholders, will differ on real server):
- certain number of XP: 1 million credits
- certain number of XP (step 1 x 3): T95E2 special loader crewmember with enough crew XP on him for 2 perks
- certain number of XP (step 1 x 5): T95E2 special driver crewmember with enough crew XP on him for 2 perks
- certain number of XP (step 1 x 7): T95E2 special gunner crewmember with enough crew XP on him for 2 perks
- certain number of XP (step 1 x 10): T95E2 special commander crewmember with enough crew XP on him for 2 perks and a free T95E2 tank + garage slot
Furthermore, if the “recruit” buys a tier 10 tank, the “recruiter” immediately gets a T95E2 tank with a free garage slot. If the recruiter continues to gather the referral XP and reaches the last stage (commander + free tank for step1x10) while already having the T95E2, he will get just the commander.
Nice, but why soo late, I have already invited some friends, a couple of them have tier X, but still I will have shit for it. Or there will be an option for already existing accounts?
Don’t think so – it’s impossible to prove you really invited them without it being abusable…
Invite yourself on a new account. Then make a fast progress until a tier X vehicle, and you will receive a bonus tank on your original account. :) Thousands will do the same, trust me.
Aren’t multiple accounts a bannable offense to the license agreement?
Plus, how can one platoon with themselves?
It was a few years ago and bots will do great things with this system, I can already see bot platoons being something at least as common as single damned bots.
And anyway if it is still “illegal”, how they can proof it is your second account.
You can just say that you live together with a roomie/girlfriend, and he/she plays WoT on your computer.
Hence the same IP.

You don’t need to platoon with yourself, you just make a new account and grind a tier X with it. Duh.
It’s not allowed on NA (see 9a in the license agreement), but totally fine on EU.
No idea why it’s disallowed on NA, it doesn’t stop bots and WG can only make more money if people for some reason gets more than one account.
Well, time to convince an old friend to reroll and platoon with me until he gets a tier X tank in that other account, and then return the favor…
This is going to be one hell of a boring grind though.

You can recruit someone with old account, who already has some tree grinded and just stopped playing.
simply login, buy that tank again and you’re done.
i basically told WG i had multiple accts in a ticket because they were giving me a very hard time to close one of them (hence 75 million accts) and all they did was tell me ur not allowed mutiple accts.
u could, theoretically, login with multiple accts on mutiple comuters on the same IP so u could platoon with urself and play arty on ur laptop and reach over ocassionally and click (prob do better than most arty players) so u dont go AFK and then play the other tank on ur desktop. i would never do this because i care about my stats, but with this assine new program it will be done.

I made a support for multi and the day after they changed EULA…
they should have implemented this on day one … or at least a little earlier. all of my friends and relatives have been recruitet already. I smell an upcoming recruitment-prostitution (players getting paid for “being recruited” and playing til tier X)
typo on step1x10, it should be commander, text says loader.
I like this one, seems a nice way to get your alternate account started up while grinding for your main one at the same time :D ;)

to benefit from the XP multipliers, you need to play in a platoon with your recruits
I think that is a little bit hard to do when you create a new account
The only thing you can benefit from this program is to get the T95E2 (and crew) when the recruit reaches those XP steps and buys a tier X tank.
u could platoon with urself on two different computers and play arty with one and click ocassionally to avoid AFK and then play the other (well, its arty so ir really playing both and wont hirt the team much either!).

I wonder if WoT has peaked? A company that is enjoying good steady growth just does not do this sort of thing, they don’t need to. After the 8.6 accuracy buff, and the recent change to maps to brawling corridor maps, this is just what we need a fresh crop of newbies rushing headlong to tier 10. So when your top tier tanks in a team are rank tomatoes in IS3′s or whatever else Soviet marvel, you can thank WG.
I’ve seen many games where the teams heavies are 43%WR 2K battles IS3′s who base camp. Such joy. (not)
statistically, i think they peaked last year (SS can provides numbers if he wants), but numbers r down theres no doubt about that.
Numbers will drop even more when Elite Dangerous goes live very soon and when Star Citizen goes BETA early next year. I am playing WOTs much less due to ED as i want to get good now in beta (like a test server) before the game is launched. Its so far beyond the best space combat sim ever created its not even funny and the hype behind SC is even bigger. SC raised 35 million just from player “donations” by buying the game and access to the alpha and beta when it wont be released until way into 2015.
I don’t think you can read anything into it, wargaming is just catching up with everyone else. War thunder has been throwing gold at me for a year thanks to a few invites and i barely play it. Same with MWO etc. WoT has been unusual in not having much of a program, and tbh this one is pretty weak as they go since to gain the full benefits you need to actually platoon with the newbie. Its no different from missioning for gold tanks.

well I can either basically grind that tank on a different account… if I really want it.
Most of my firends already play WoT, and those who dont, wouldnt play it seriously every day and platooning with me all the time… we all got job, different amount of free time etc…
how do u buy a tier 10 tank. wouldnt it cost like 1000 dollars in cash, hundreds of thousands in gold, to go through all the tiers?

I am fairly sure it is a “free” game, what game are you talking about?
You could sit down and work out the fastest path, but if you can combine this with new player codes then guys might start with tier5 premiums. You would grind your crew first then go to TierX avoiding module upgrades. I haven’t sat down to check the trees fully but there can be a few hundred thousand in savings depending on what tree you pick.
I don’t even have a TierX of my own, so I ideally don’t want to start a dud account to just grind it up to TierX.. Saying that, I am sure it will happen and then players will dump the alt account on ebay or sommit.
There goes another good US tank, flushed down the shitter for some gimmick.

this will be abused so hard.. make new account, unlock the way to cheapest tier10 with free xp for gold, get tank on original. basically that gold is the price for the speshul tonk, and the fresh account will stay inactive. -> wg can brag about 100 million players, 30% of them plays once a week..
So, what is the easiest/fastest tier 10 to unlock?
I’m thinking what will likely happen is people who see money as no object will invite an alt, buy an IS-6 and just whore it for a while, then convert the exp and buy a tier 10.

better yet, do a mission for a free premium.
I’ll probably make a dummy for myself, but I won’t invest more than a Churchill 3 for crew training and money farming. Maybe a little bit of Gold for retraining at the higher tiers, but that’s the limit IMO.

You are saying that in order to get t8 med (with stats almost same as SP) You should buy IS-6 for 42 euros and give shitload of money to convert 500k free XP. Rate is 25 free xp for one gold =20 000 gold = 70 euros. So you think that giving 110 Euros~150 USD is ok for a tank roughly the class if SP? Something here is nobrainer, thats for sure…

Nice. I’ll just create a dummy account and run it on another PC and sit afk for every battle. If 2-3 twats can ruin every game I play now by botting/afking then I’ll just do the same.

Does this work for ex-WoT players that have quit because of the 9.X updates? I have lost friends since the HD renovation movements. I would like to get them to play again. They have mostly gone to War Thunder.
This is a bit of a pain, I have got 6 people to make a wot acc, of which 4 have over 5000 battles.
I’m gonna guess this is because new players creating accounts have fallen off.
Unless you’re a tank collector, why would you do this? You can go from tier 1-10 and unlock the entire tree or.. create new account to get this tank only. It doesn’t even seem to be some kind of a special awesome tank. So unless you’re someone who unlocked all the tanks in the game and wants more – what’s the point? Sure, good thing if you got a friend to invite, but otherwise why bother grinding secondary account.
