WZ-111 Mission Skipping Will be on EU As Well

Hello everyone,

regarding the “mission skipping” on RU server – Ectar confirmed that it’s going to be on EU as well. Hmmm… I wonder if the price for the “bundles” is the same, or it’s while time once again.

  1. inb4 40€ bundles on EU that include a month of premium, bs amount of gold, 20 large repair kits and the token :D

    • From what I gather they should be the same price. I hope it’s 10 usd and not 10 euro though.

I’ll certainly be buying the US tank skip since I have 0 US tanks rofl.

It’s a good deal for players like me that focus on one nation, complete it and then switch (I have all USSR, Japanese, Chinese and British tanks elite).

I don’t wish to be forced to grind out good American tanks and this is a viable solution.

People who just BUY the WZ-111 are kindda gross tho.

      • Who exactly “forces” you to grind anything? :P Remember that this is a game, and a ‘free to play’ one, everything what you do is your own decision. :)

You are the one who seeked out WoT and the one who downloaded and installed it, If you wish to give WG money for a virtual content that according to EULA you don’t own at any point, then so be it. :P

  2. Oh it’ll be like 100$ for EU, and NA server won’t even get WZ-111, they will grind for a t34-3 or some trash… Just speaking from experience, thats my guess

      • What?

No it has nothing to do with the A-44…

It has better armour, a different gun, stronger turret, different playstyle…it has nothing in common with the A-44.

        • Both have strong armor (for a med it really is…), a derpy high damage gun and basically no gun depression. They are more similar than you would think at first.

    • Or you will get to unlock various parts of the tank at your own pace and then get them for free like your top of the tree.

  3. im glad this option is here this year because with most of the other nations i as able to get close to the requirements but gave up due to the japs so if i beat the other nations i will buy it for the japs i never got passed tier 5 in their tree.

  4. Sounds fine to me…

    Grind half, pay half.

I’ve multiple tanks in all nations, so I can probably complete half of the lines at least, given the limited time I’ll have to play during that period. Got one full weekend of WoT though around Jan 10.

I’ll see how far I get then decide if I wanna fork out cash for a “discounted” tier VIII.

  5. Don’t understand why everyone has their panties in a bunch over this.

Last year with the IS-6 Mission was way tougher, since the Jap line was released half-way through the grind. Which also obviously implied getting to the Tier 6 Chi-To ASAP – then finish the grind on the Jap line as well.
The IS-6 mission was also the reason why I started 1 Chinese line (MT).

What the hell, a free Tier 8 Premium tank which is somewhat-on-par with the IS-6? Yes, please!

    • And by somewhat-on-par with the IS-6 you really mean clearly-worse-than-IS6-but-better-that-nothing, right ?

      • It has better UFP than the IS-6. As far as I can tell, a better turret too.

It’s just worse in the side armor – but then again, spaced armor.

  6. So you could just buy the WZ-111 by buying all seven national “vouchers”, ie for $70 or whatever the EU gets priced at?

I looked at RU, and I can’t see anything that says you have to do even one of the marathon events – if you want to use cash instead.

  7. Ill probably try my damned hardest to do the mission and then if I find I’m short closer to the end will use the pay option to complete. £20 for 2 nations completion is good money for a Tier VIII premium tank if you ask me.

    Ho

  8. You’d need to grind at least 5 lines and then pay for the other 2 to make it cost effective, otherwise @ €10 a pop, paying €30 or €40 to skip to the WZ-111, you’d just be paying full whack.

So grind, grind, grind AND pay the full price of a standard Tier VIII heavy premium? It makes no sense!

  9. Please Please……. $10 per nation as is with RU and ASIA.
This is an international mission not RU and ASIA only. We deserve some discounts amongst the price markups westerners get.

  10. I am sure we will see plenty of WZ-111s the first day the tokens are available. I might even pay rather than grind if I had unlimited funds, but I have three kids, so I’ll grind instead. I might buy a token or two if things get down to the wire.

As for the tank its self, I have the WZ-111 1-4, and it is a beast with pretty effective armor. I know the 111 isn’t the same, but it has similar armor at least. I’d say this tank probably falls between the IS-6 and 112 for effectiveness.

  11. Grinding 4 lines and buying 3 could be okayish. Today you can buy a 112 premium with modules for 44 €, so paying 30 € for a WZ-111 can be acceptable.

While we will be spending a lot of time in return for a 10 € discount per nation, we’re playing the game, getting credits and XP and it should be fun anyway.

I just hope that the packages will be available for as long as the mission is running.

  12. One of the main things WoT had going for it is that it isn’t truly a Pay to Win game. I worked my way through the IS-6 and T 34 missions with a standard account. But now with this, you’ll have to pay out to get the “free bonus”. Fail.

Excluding rigging games there is no way you can reasonably expect the Japanese or Chinese kill requirements can be met. The tanks just aren’t that common. Therefore snatch “mommy’s” credit card and buy your way around it. That is if you REALLY want to encourage them to keep this sort of thing up. Personally I don’t.

I’ll skip the mission and just to keep it interesting for Wargaming, my French, Chinese, and Japanese vehicles will stay in the garage for the mission duration. No mission fodder from me.

  13. This is the final straw for me. For a game that is supposed to be anti-Pay2Win this is the single most obvious Pay2Win feature I have ever seen.

    • how is this pay to win? you pay and get a tank which is worse than average, you wont win more al off a sudden
