Today there’s nothing much new (again). I do feel however that I should inform you that there is a SHITLOAD of leaks from WoWs weekend test on Youtube. Just look for “World of Warships” videos posted yesterday. I suspect this is intentional and controlled, because noone could be possibly stupid enough to actually invite tens of thousands (or god knows how many) random players without any screening and expect them all to obey the NDA.

- SerB states he’d like to see the “Mammoth tank” (nickname for ST-II, twin gun variant of ST-I) in the game
- IF (SerB’s emphasis on “if”) the twin gun mechanism is implemented, it’s possible that the MTLS tankette will be reworked to use it
- there are apparently no plans to sell the Grosstraktor as a separate tank outside of expensive bundles

    • Seems Serb has a soft spot for the “Mammoth Tank”, an old reference from the Command & Conquer games. The ST-II could just be the excuse he needs to implement his dream to WoT. Personally I hope it does! (Being an old C&C myself)

Maybe the medved SPG could be implemented too.

BTW, was it possible IRL to fire two cannons at the same times with twin gunned tanks?

    • That the T1 heavy the Maus as well. Basically any tank that had the second gun aligned with the main gun should be able to use the same mechanic. As long as it’s not in a second turret etc like on the M3 lee etc.

      • I think it would be cool to be able to shoot MGs, mostly to disorient the enemy, but also damage view ports and tracks (and very poorly armoured vehicles).

Imagine IS-7 with functional MGs lol

  2. If you send video to WG, they will tell you whether you can upload it.

Source: “At the beginning of the Beta test the NDA will not be lifted but we will allow testers to create videos and send them to us for approval. As soon as the video is approved, the player is allowed to publish it on their channel. Streaming will not be allowed until the NDA is fully lifted.”

How could they change it? I hardly imagine different mechanism.. Any idea?

    Cuz it’s too OP XD

      • People come out and accuse VPA of fame padding with numerous commanders of other clans saying they were approached by VPA to pre-organise battles along with continuous battles against their own sub clans while denying battles to other clans……….Replays have also been posted of the Commander and leader in fame points on the server using what it could look like a very suspicious mod in line with a aimbot………. Admin Tan posts that all the battles against sub clans/allies are allowed even though it was pointed out that rules released before Campaign 3 states that no pre-organised battles to pad fame are allowed…………………Continuous uproar from a number of other clans/players over the next few days in which Tan repeatedly says no investigation will come about along with some conflicting posts by Tan including where tickets should actually be sent about fame padding battles.

One clear indication of this accusation is the fame points of the Number 1 Fame holder, the Commander of VPA holding a near 500K fame gap between himself and the second fame holder a fellow VPA member while the gap on NA/EU server is below 100K difference. Definitely a issue that needs to be looked into along with the general conduct of VPA.

A short time after it was announced on the thread that FTR posted about the accusations on FB, the thread has been closed and removed to another area. Even though the subject has not been resolved along with clans calling for a boycott of the next Campaign.

        • Screenshots have also been leaked between a VPA official and a Clan ally at the time showing a discussion of staging battles due to a lack of actual battles and a official contacting a Admin due to his own beliefs that its against the rules only to receive a comment back from Admin saying there is nothing he can do.

          • More screenshots have been released this morning showing VPA members selling/buying/renting accounts, transferring players to other clans in order to facilitate organised battles and promises to protect other clans when CW reopens for help recieved during the Campaign.

  4. i would love to see the ST-II in the game because as far as im concerned the regular ST-I is good enough armour wise to be a tier 10 if it was buffed to have more hp and a higher dpm. although i do wonder if it would come with a new line or just be like the soviet meds.

    • Historically the ST-II had D-25Ts, although I guess they could provide ‘optional’ M62-T2 upgrade at T10, being an alternative tank to the IS-4.

Otherwise, the combination of very strong armour and very weak guns makes tier positioning of the ST-II very awkward (too strong armour for tier 8 prem, too weak for tier 10 reward, and there are no tier 9 reward tanks).

  5. “I suspect this is intentional and controlled, because noone could be possibly stupid enough to actually invite tens of thousands (or god knows how many) random players without any screening and expect them all to obey the NDA.”

I can confirm that the latter is exactly the case.
I have a WoT contact, who has WoWs access and he hasn’t heard of anything like NDA, he even asked “what’s an NDA?”.

  6. “- IF (SerB’s emphasis on “if”) the twin gun mechanism is implemented, it’s possible that the MTLS tankette will be reworked to use it”

I was under the impression that the MTLS already had some kind of weird dual-cannon system. Does it just fire a two-round burst from one of the cannons, or an invisible firing point between the cannons to create the illusion of both of them working, or what?

“- there are apparently no plans to sell the Grosstraktor as a separate tank outside of expensive bundles”

Ok, WG, lets sit and take a look at this.
Considering the tank is mediocre at best in every single way and people would only buy it as a collectible (i.e. it won’t be bought by lots of “pros” for seal-clubbing like would be the case with the PzIIj, MicroMaus, etc), which is going to make more money in the long run:

A: selling the tank for a ridiculous amount of money to a very small fraction of the playerbase
B: selling the tank for a reasonable amount of money to a still small, but comparatively large, fraction of the playerbase

It’s not hard to figure out, try it. And then spend a few minutes to cull some of the idiots in your marketing department.
