Is AMX CDC Worth the Hype? Comparison with AMX 50T

Hello everyone,

okay, let’s make a small experiment. Here’s a video from Sir_Havoc. He’s not a really big videomaker yet, but I had a look at some of his videos and I rather like them. He’s an okay player too. The thing is, it’s possible he’s wrong on some accounts – so let’s give him a feedback to become even better. What do you think about his video? Did he forget something? What would you improve?

      • It’s nice of you to give this guy a “plug”, but his vids aren’t very good. He’s also very unprofessional looking. He needs to wash his hair and then comb it, shave his eyebrows and then clean up the room he is broadcasting from and lastly get rid of the stupid giraffe. Quickybaby is a raging success because he takes his “job” very seriously. Jingles is a raging success because he’s the “crazy” Uncle we all love even though hes a noob (and so silly).

    • AMX 13/57? It’s not up for release yet. We don’t actually know if it will be released at all at this point.

      • Gimme that as an Individual Mission reward tank and I would love you so much WG you don’t even know.

      • +/- 33% depending on matchmaking weight.
Considering most mediums with bad guns get lighter matchmaking and most mediums with good guns get heavy matchmaking this thing will most likely see tier 10′s about 33% of the time just like heavies of the same tier.

The T-44 only sees tier 10′s about 25% of the time, though, that is correct, but it’s average damage per game and winrate are sub-par regardless, which means it isn’t OP even with that matchmaking. T-34-2, pershing, Panther II sees tier 10′s 29%~ of the time or something, not worth checking out. Centurion sees tier 10′s as often as tier 8 heavies.

However you can throw this theory in the trash almost completely due to the unpopularity of tier 7 and tier 9 meaning the odds of having a game full of tier 10′s and 1~2 tier 9′s can happen quite frequently.

        • Don’t know how it’s like on other servers but T8s get into T9 matches about 70-80% of the time on the NA server. T8 is just next to unplayable because of this.

          • That’s due to tier player spread, the number of players per tier. Due to the number of tier 10′s being so high in contrast to the low number of tier 9′s and 7′s Tier 8′s get more tier 10 games because of the matchmaking rules for tier 9 and 10′s dedicate that they have to have a top tier game once so often while the lack of tier 7′s means that tier eights have less ‘mid tier’ games available to play which means tier 8 games are filled to the brim with tier 8′s. This is partially supplemented by tier 5 and tier 6 scouts hence why tier 8 games tend to have 4 scouts in them quite often.

So that leaves for the most the few ”tank grinders” as the only lower tier opposition in tier 8 games and tier 7 tank grinding only takes so long. It does mean that tier 7 tanks are weaker by average for their tier when facing them because a lot of them aren’t elited yet.

In other words, tier 8 tanks have an increased chance of meeting tier 10′s simply due to how many people play tier 10 tanks. While tier 7 tanks are fairly unpopular in terms of numbers of players meaning that tier 8 games have less tier 7′s in them. This is in part caused by Strongholds ( tier 6, 8 and 10 ) and clanwars ( tier 10 only ) promoting having highly trained crews on these tiers. Tier 6 in addition is for most non-premium players the ”go to” tier for obtaining some silver.

  1. you really should learn to shoot, those missed shoots on lake were missed only because of your bad aiming and perception of flying shells…….

    • I have same problem with FCM and CDC.

Can’t hit a barn at more than 300 meters.
And even if I hit stuff then, it is as if the 90mm shell has lost half it’s pen.

If I had to chose I’d choose the CDC because it gives more money when I SELL IT.

      • Hi Guys,

Yeah like i said in the vid, The shots missed because of me not the tank, those long moving ones were misplaced, I had not played many games in the tank and was still getting used to the speed of the projectile.

        Normally i shoot just fine ; )

    • Indeed, it was so painful to watch him shooting…
Also, when he hit the fcm50t first time, the shot went just like 5 cm away from the house, he stated the the gun has pinpoint accuracy… I couldn’t help but cry. He was totally under placebo-effect, or don’t know, but looks like if he watched some kv-2 on the move oneshots he would definitely state kv-2 has pinpoint accuracy as well… Why is he commentating on that video that much, we’ve already seen the stat sheet, just a lot of bs what he says. And those duel with fcm were unfair, imo. You can’t say one tank is better than the other just because it beat the other once or twice…

      • I must say i do disagree the shoots felt good and true, the misses were down to me mate, I was still getting used to the gun :)

        • Nice to see that you are actually answering! Take no offense, even though I might sounded a bit rough. My point was that accuracy difference between .36 and .34 is really not that much, and I believe you are definitely exaggerating when you say it makes a huge difference. The same applies to 8.22 rof. What I would say important is the gun depression. The rest of the t8 meds have like -6-ish generally, only pershing centurion and this little beast has -10, and yes, THIS is what makes the difference. Also, I don’t know where can one find camo values, but it is another important factor, you should definitely include this in your videos, very important stat imo. Well that’s it in nutshell. I hope I helped you, friend! Keep on doing, I’m sure you will get better!

  2. So you want feedback? Here we go:
    1) Too much focus on insignificant little details, too little on the really important stuff
    2) That FCM vs CDC 1on1 was utterly pointless. A fight like this would never happen in a real battle, and if it would, the FCM could just ram and crush the CDC.
    3) I missed a camouflage test in the training room. That would have been really interesting instead.
    4) Why on earth would you use the enhanced suspension module?

    • Thats is really nice feedback mate, I will take that on board. I am still getting used to doing review, i normally do tutorials. I also sometimes struggle with time, I work full time and have a little baby, I get small windows to do my vids. I must confess this does cause me ot over look some things, however I believe the review to be fair.

thank you for your feedback mate I appreciate it :)

      • Don’t worry mate, it’s totallu fine. And the voice is something you can’t really change anyway…

      • :/ hey man… erm no worries about that its just that I’m from the Caribbean so British accents are just far off ours. The video was informative and well thought out. It highlighted all the points of the tank that will influence the decision of potential buyers and for that I thank you as a part of the community.

  3. I would like to say thank you to you all for your honest feedback, It will help me to refine my vids and make them more entertaining.

I really appreciate the time you gave to take a look.

    Havoc

  4. Nice vid. Keep up the good work.

-You should put 100% crews while testing both tanks at the same time.

  5. Okay so from what I’m gathering here, it’s a fast, glass cannon of a medium tank that could really be considered more of a tank destroyer. Stay back and snipe in the first third of the game, flank when about a third of the enemy team is dead, then hunt down the stragglers in the final third of the game. Mobility’s great, gun depression’s great, gun performance’s great, but the lack of armor is to such a degree that HE shells will FUCK. IT. UP. Even if the tracks can somewhat eat an HE shell to the side, it’ll probably blow the tracks off and still do significant splash damage, and there’s no such protection in the case of the turret, which is a pretty big target even if the tank has a low profile.

Basically, it’s the kind of tank that does VERY well with a coordinated team, and ESPECIALLY in a platoon, but by itself it’s just going to get slaughtered most of the time. Still, overall it looks like it’s pretty good (it’s interesting – while the French haven’t had a lot of premiums, every single premium they’ve had has been really, really good compared to the premiums of the same tier and vehicle type on the other tech trees).

  6. That 1 on 1 was ridiculous… And funny part, when he gets shot against the Panther 8.8 and says… “0 dmg” while he took full dmg, I just couldn’t keep watching…

    • Yes that was unfortunate. The last digit of his remaining hit points didn’t change but the rest certainly did!
