- a player claims that this area on IS-7 is bugged, that it allows players to penetrate IS-7 even with very low pen. Storm states that it will not be fixed (SS: as in, it’s intentional).
- T-62A was not reworked to HD yet
- a player was complaining that the Lenin statue on Ensk map is not fully destructable. Storm: “And other objects that are not fully destructable don’t bother you?”
- Storm will investigate numerous complaints of ghost shells from replays on RU forums
- artillery viewrange will also be nerfed just like the TD one was
- Storm states that to “reanimate light tanks” was not the main goal of 9.6
- developers haven’t considered for now to give Foch 155 a gun without an autoloader
- after the Foch 155 nerf some time ago, his statistics are “very average”
- not all bugs in IM description were fixed in 9.6, there will be further fixes

Storm, regarding the possible return of 9.5 accuracy: “Next week, we will study the statistics carefully. Right now, according to preliminary data, the difference in hit accuracy is around 1 percent, within the margin of error. We will investigate it further.”

- Storm states that the alleged 9.6 bug where the tanks are “rotating” on the spot more is just a coincidence
- the platoon invite system will be fixed in the future (the 9.6 interface caused some issues)
- Storm is aware of the Tiger P HD model issue, that makes this weird graphic glitch, it will be fixed
- it’s not sure for now whether in the future, the viewrange of premium tanks will get nerfed as well

  1. does WG hate premium tanks now or..why all the hate? First remove limited mm premiums from shop, and now they might want to nerf their viewrange?

  2. -artillery viewrange will also be nerfed just like the TD one was

    most pointless nerf ever XD

  3. - developers haven’t considered for now to give Foch 155 a gun without an autoloader

Please do, give it an Obj. 268-like gun with 0.35 acc and 2.5 sec aim time and without this useless autoloader! Turn it into a REAL TD.

        • That’s a bold statement, I’m pretty sure you didn’t even drive any tank of this line.

ARL V39 – Excellent gun (if you use the 105mm), rather good mobility and mediocre camouflage value. No armor though. I think it’s a solid TD.
AMX AC mle. 46 – Good guns (90 mm as well as 100mm), HUGE (no camouflage value), no armor to make up for its size. Only in T7 the frontal armor is borderline acceptable.
AMX AC mle. 48 – Good mobility, good camo, good armor, excellent 120mm gun, great tank
AMX 50 Foch – Basically the same as above with improved gun and armor stats, yet slower and less maneuverable.
AMX 50 Foch (155) – Armor stays the same, mobility further decreased and the gun’s effectiveness is…well, on par with the ARL V39′s top 90mm. So, not effective at all. The autoloader is kind of a love ‘n hate thing. If you have experience with it before, you’re good to go I guess, everyone else will fail, due to it also being (compared to the guns before) inaccurate and having a terrible (typically french) aim time. Not a good TD gun.

          • You’re nuts. Even with a GLD the AC 48 felt like ti had worse gun handling than my GLD-less ISU.

            • Yea, the gun handling is bad, but I personally had no big troubles with it. I did fine in it. 257 pen with such a good accuracy and damage, coupled with a solid amout of DPM edge out the disadvantage.

              • Nope, it doesn’t. The narrow gun arc on all tanks of this line and the ages it take to aim the gun are a complete deal breaker. Your armor is not reliable, too, not to mention the side and rear armor. Worst things are the bad gun depression and especially the low mounted gun which leaves the weak spots exposed while the gun has still no line of fire.
The whole line would have the mobility do be played rather aggressive, but the unreliable armor, combined with the gun arc, depression and aim time will leave you as a second or even third line support. And all the tanks up to the Foch are lacking alpha for this role. Even the RoF is bad compared to the similar American TD gun.
The whole package does not really fit into the game and suffer further from the recent TD nerfs and map reworks. I would not recommend to play this line.

                • It’s my opinion about the tank, do you really think you can break it? I had very good times with it, that means it’s a tank that suited my playstyle. So what are you arguing about? You found it’s shit, I found it’s good and stated my opinion about it, let’s all be friends!

                • It’s my opinion that the sky is green.

You can have your opinion, but that won’t make it true.
The Mle 48 is a trashy tank, for all the reasons Hen Ry listed. The fact you made it work doesn’t change that.

                • No, I argued why they are not good. It’s not just a opinion, these are facts.

And I will not stay silent and listen to you saying the ARL V39 is a solid TD. WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU. It’s not surprising that WG is nerfing the TDs again and yet again because people like you are telling the world the ARL V39 is a solid TD.
You should be ashamed of yourself! What were you thinking?

          • I didn’t drive any because everybody in my clan says they are not worth it.

The TDs are fairly big, with massive weakspots. HE can penetrate your sides and rear. They have the worst gun angles. The tier 10 is apparently one of the worst tier 10 TD.

So I’ll stick to the russian TDs …

            • Many Tier 10 TDs are bad. I can recommend the American lines and the Jgdpz. E100 is also a fun to play.
              British TDs are the worst.

              • British TD’s are the worst? I for my part enjoyed the AT-15 just as much as I enjoyed the AMX AC mle. 48, and enjoyed the DPM Monster Tortoise just as much as I enjoyed the AMX 50 Foch. Right now I’m at the Charioteer, and this thing is two of my favourite classes combined, medium tank and TD. And it’s not one of those weird hybrids like T28 Prototype but it has the advantages of both: TD-like Camo, Med-like mobility, TD-like gun, and a turret at least.

I actually disliked the Jagdpanzer E-100 (while I loved JagdTiger and especially JagdPanther II) because of this oversized bullcrap gun. Haven’t played American TD’s as they in the higher tiers tend to be really slow, slower than the British TD’s, so I won’t touch them for now.

                • Hahahaha, really? An opinion can not be changed. I have only 1190 WN8 but you behave like 300 WN8 pubbies, not even trying to accept my opinion. I merely stated facts why I think this line is not the failure you people like to think of it. How many of you have actually played those tanks? Hmm?

Also, I have not seen any real counterarguments, just butthurt whining that somebody doesn’t agree with your flawed logic.

Since I know you don’t like it, here : ARL V39 is imo a solid TD; ARL V39 is imo a solid TD; ARL V39 is imo a solid TD; ARL V39 is imo a solid TD

You don’t seem to understand the word solid. Solid means “not exactly bad while not really good as well”. Why the hell would WG want to nerf them further? Especially those tanks that are so seldom that there aren’t even proper stats about them?

                • Pretty sure my wn8 is around twice of yours.

                  French TD isn’t good.
The word you are looking for is “fun”.

They generally don’t lack mobility, which is nice to not get circled by most tanks(which they need, because side armour is shit) and avoid spg.

They also have good firepower(except foch, which hits like a girl compared to other t9).

Armour isn’t terrible from t7 and up either.

But you can’t make use of any of the firepower if shots hit the ground or even fail to aim due to low gunarc.

So they are balanced; not good, not bad(for the most part)

          • Armour is worth very little if even at a slight angle everything can pen sides and at even medium distance the enemy can pen weakspots reliably?

And excellent 120mm gun? Not sure if serious or trolling.
Guns on tier 8 and 9 are a joke. They may be accurate, but that’s about it. They neither have any TD-like pen, nor alpha neither DPM. A fucking SU-152 on t7 loads it’s 390 alpha gun faster than AMX AC 48. Other lines will either have better pen or alpha or both. They will also have better aim time too. Aim time on tier 8 and 9 is simply horrible.

And I can’t comment on t10 because I didn’t get there yet, so perhaps the gun is a redeeming factor, but since the armour is the same as t9, it’s still loads of pointless steel riddled with obvious and easy to pen weakspots.

            Meh.

    • I agree. I’d think that they could just keep the same 155mm gun, tweak the stats to reflect it no longer being an autoloader. At the same time, it’d be nice if they’d return its mobility to previous levels.

I have the Foch 155 researched, but have never intended on buying it in its current form. The tier 9 Foch may not be the best tier 9 TD, but it feels very workable with its respectable gun, good mobility, and armor that’s reasonably reliable as long as you stay at moderate range (to make hitting the weak spots more difficult). If they could tweak the Foch 155 to a single shot 155 gun and give it the same feel (mobility and armor) as the t9 Foch, I might reconsider buying the Foch 155.

      • Well, armor and mobility-wise the Foch 155 actually feels on par with the regular foch (155 has worse gun traverse stats due to it being a bigger gun), on paper these tanks have pretty much the same armor stats. The 155 is a bit slower and less maneuverable though.

They should buff the mobility at least up to AMX AC 48 standards and remove this stupid autoloader. The Foch 155 just has to feel like the T9 Foch just with a bigger gun.

  4. - a player was complaining that the Lenin statue on Ensk map is not fully destructable. Storm: “And other objects that are not fully destructable don’t bother you?”

The crap does he want to destroy the Lenin statue for? Lenin is a saint compared to the other one.

    • Well Lenin did not live long enough after the revolution to show what an utter asshole he was. Just as bad as Stalin one in my opinion.

      • Lenin was more of an ideologist, Stalin was a straight up psycho.

“complaining that the Lenin statue on Ensk map is not fully destructable.”

Its because you can kill a man, but cant kill the ideology, haha

      • lenin thought stalin was a nut case and said he shouldn’t be allowed to take power, if hadn’t been for his declining health he might have prevented the atrocities of stalin.

        • The usual excuses for Lenin.
While Lenin was in power he promoted Stalin because he knew exactly that Stalin would do the dirty work. Lenin himself also ordered enough killings to be called a crimminal. And lets not forget that Lenin used the gulags extensivly.

Lenin was an asshole like Stalin. He just died to early to prove that he was just as bad.

          • I love it! apparently now you can judge a man by things he NEVER DID cos he died too early.
I also love how people can just pull ‘facts’ out of their asses without ANY knowledge of history and not get called up on it. Like the fact that you can call Lenin a cunt because of gulags which are a tsarist invention and were operating a million years before lenin came to power.
You sir are a product of a very specific ideology.
And have an IQ of a drowned hamster.

  5. - after the Foch 155 nerf some time ago, his statistics are “very average”

What is average in WoT, is horribad everywhere else.

  6. - a player claims that this area on IS-7 is bugged, that it allows players to penetrate IS-7 even with very low pen. Storm states that it will not be fixed (SS: as in, it’s intentional).

good good, now you know what the e100 feels like

  7. Bah, nothing saucy. Maybe a cheap Lenin joke ..nah

You keep teasing that delicious, crispy Challenger intrigue, but just leave us hanging twice now…Cheeky boy

  8. - a player claims that this area on IS-7 is bugged, that it allows players to penetrate IS-7 even with very low pen. Storm states that it will not be fixed (SS: as in, it’s intentional).

I checked colision model and I dont see anything wrong. There is nothing on that said space. That small wheel or what is it seems to be only cosmetic.

    • Sneaky hitbox. Capitalist programs can’t see sneaky things. Is no problem for soviet russia.

    • It seems it’s possible to hit weakly armoured parts near the IS-7′s rear. However, that would require a very lucky shot and you’d have to be slightly below the IS.7.

    • It’s true that part itself isn’t a hitbox, but if you’re extremely lucky the shell might skim along the hull side and strike the rear drive sprocket at the back of the tank, similar to how if often does with the Caernarvon/Conqueror.

  9. ARE YOU READY TO RUMBLE…^^

    - a player claims that this area on IS-7 is bugged, that it allows players to penetrate IS-7 even with very low pen. Storm states that it will not be fixed (SS: as in, it’s intentional).
… thick steel – which points towards the enemy is supposed to be non existent? good.
i guess that armor gaps on other tanks are also “intentional- incompetence” :)

    - a player was complaining that the Lenin statue on Ensk map is not fully destructable. Storm: “And other objects that are not fully destructable don’t bother you?”
… other objects are also massmurders?

    - Storm will investigate numerous complaints of ghost shells from replays on RU forums
… “FIXED/not existant” < how often we had to hear that one already?

-“Next week, we will study the statistics carefully”
… translation: we dont care. maybe we give a glance but… no… we just said that to make you feel better, alright? alright!

    - Storm states that the alleged 9.6 bug where the tanks are “rotating” on the spot more is just a coincidence
    …. oh thats what you call that… coincidence… 9.4(?) ….9.5… 9.6 and sure comes 9.7 … thats a coincidence(-incompetence) … at least it wasnt intentional this time… :)

    - it’s not sure for now whether in the future, the viewrange of premium tanks will get nerfed as well
    "We cant nerf cause: premium"
(but we do it anyway at some point… so… dont mind to blow money at us, till we decide its time for the "zipper" <3

    WG ur so funny :))

    • If you think that Lenin is a mass murderer you need to go back to school.
      History class.
      Prob other as well.

  10. This accuracy rebelance is perfed make snapshots less rewarding but more well aiemd shots more consistent. This is what the accuracy should have been from the beginning. But I guess russian whiners cant snipe and snapshot at 200-300 meters anylonger so they must buff back accuracy again.

  11. I just want to point out, regarding the Premium Tank nerf, that today i finally played a game in my Dicker Max which i havent played for ages. With Binocs i have around 500m viewrange and was on Top Tier. I outspotted everything and just shot away. No enemy was able to see me because of the insane view range. Those tanks NEED to be nerfed.

  12. - after the Foch 155 nerf some time ago, his statistics are “very average”

RIP any hope for a much needed buff for the croissant TD

      • That thing is almost unplayable.

It barely has average stats with very good players playing it. What does that tell you?

        • It tells me that TDs suppose to be support machines and have significantly lower stats than medium and heavys. Now gtfo, how do u enjoy the 9.6 patch by the way? Still havent seen u online I was hoping to TK you. Pls go to training room and let me tk u pls.

          • “TDs suppose to be support machines and have significantly lower stats than medium and heavys”

Tomato logic confirmed – only viable classes are MTs & HTs.
inb4 hardest class to master is LTs.

P.S.: Me in Tier 1 and you in Tier 10 is the only chance of you ever killing me, so chill out

  13. Pingback: This area on IS-7 is bugged, allows players to penetrate IS-7 - Tank World News

  14. Did anyone notice that Tiger P HD has a bug – L/71 gun is the same as L/56, as short.

  15. They said it million times – Premiums cant be nerfed – why they have to discuss that topic again?

However, I want to have the option to get back the gold/money when they decide to nerf particular premium tanks.

  16. Why you pepole bother to play this game. WG is now like a bunch of kids lost in the mist, they don’t even know what and how to make this game work like it should. It’s a definition of insanity, they keep doing all the same shit again and again, thinking it will be better this time.
Also this bugged is-7 thing is so fcking silly. Either wg or big shit engine can’t do sucha advanced things like, adding small separated parts in model, and thats why they won’t fix it. Same goes for e-100 frontal plate houling holes, there is extra armor there, but thx to uber wg or engine it doesn’t matters. Meanwhile wt gf will soon have maus, and also AW beta starts soon.

  17. Well its all good and such for the RU EU and other servers to get 9.6 but the NA servers have to wait min 2 weeks to 1 month more Due to the WGNLA Gold League finals … with that being said they did not start til the 19 feb but when the rest of the servers had the patch it was around the 10 or 11 of feb why the delay Wargaming … it feels like the NA server gets shafted again same as either the last patch or previous one before that

    imo

    • It’s understandable if WG wants to look like they care about e-sports. 9.6 patch would hit the NA just before last gameday of the regular season and week before the playoff. Don’t forget that not only accuracy was changed some maps that are played were too (Steppes and Himmelsdorf come to my mind).
My guess is you’ll have 9.6 after that, there is almost one month before the finals so all teams will have enough time to adapt.

  18. Thank God 9.6 didn’t hit the US yet… Never ceases to amaze me how incompetent these shitstain programmers are.

Ghost shells again? Really? The more things change… The more things stay the same with WG.

  19. -”Storm states that the alleged 9.6 bug where the tanks are “rotating” on the spot more is just a coincidence”

A what? Just admit that you have no idea how to fix it. Responses like that are insults and should be punished accordingly.

  20. that Weakspot on IS-7 makes 0.00% sense – but hey.. working as intended, yes?

Who is Storm by the way :P

  21. The IS7 thing doesn’t seem like a bug to me. Basically one shoots though the thing, under the tank and hits a weakly armored piece at its rear that protrudes downwards a bit.

It’s a bit like an upside down cupola, and crazy hard to hit.
