Tank Recovery going Live on US Server

Hello everyone,

so, did you sell a premium/gift/reward tank and are sorry you did that? Fear not. US server introduced an automated system, where you can actually recover the tanks lost. These include for example sold Christmas reward tanks, beta-test tanks and many more.

Currently, this system is available only on the US server (not sure about RU, haven’t checked, but not on EU anyway). The policy for restoring vehicles is also changed. US community staff Jewel_Thief:

Along with this service, we’re introducing a new policy on the restoration of Premium vehicles. You’ll have 72 hours to restore any accidentally-sold Premium vehicle. This process can be completed for an unlimited number of vehicles, provided timely use of the tool. You can also restore any number of Unique vehicles one time every 180 days per vehicle.

  1. Just recovered my T1E6 because, why not.

Note that premiums you buy unlike gift tanks can’t be restored after the 72 hour period.

    • I hope they will make this for EU server too… I would recover my useless T1E6 too…

  2. More info needed! Are they possible to restore only tanks from ingame shop, from giftshop or both types? And what about codes using? And do WG count the previously support-restored vehicles to the 180 days limit? What is the price, standard selling price in credits?

AND – the most important – are there some plans to introduce that system in the EU?

    • it was said that the system is still in beta and only for NA, maybe when it is fully released it will be introduced to the other servers aswell…

    • Premium Vehicles from both gift and ingame shop can be restored, since both are essentially the same but only for 72 hours after they have been sold. Any SPECIAL vehicle(T1E7, T7 Combat Car, Beta Sherman, etc.) can be restored, no matter when they have been sold, but if you restore it and sell it again, you have to wait 180 days to restore it again. And for the credits: The standart selling price in credits, as it is with normal support recovery.

And keep in mind, premium vehicles and special vehicles are 2 different things

If you need more info, you can look here:

And I do hope it comes to EU aswell, me Beta Sherman awaits restoring ;)

        • 38H maybe because its no longer available to purchase, along with things like the B2, LL Stuart etc.

        • 38H was available for me. I sold it back when the French Line released because I didn’t know any better about crew trainers at that point in time and figured the H35 in the French Line would outclass it.

Keep in mind that one of the limitations is that at least one battle will have to be played in the tank as well (don’t know if that’s just for premium or special or if applies to both)

I bought back my T1e6 and my 38H. Needed two free garage slots and 300k silver (total) for them. I think it was 150k each, can’t remember off the top of my head though

    • Same here, it also happens to be the only tank where i don’t have a mastery badge on…

      • I did , that was the only “premium” tank i ever sold and as soon as this came up last night I put in a request for the M3 and it was back in my garage in 15 min for a cost of about 95K

  3. So… Hmm. It means once per 180 days i can restore 1 tank that i sold max 72 hours earlier?

Or, can i restore any premium regardless but only every 180 days?

Might have read it wrong.. Good if i can restore 1 premium every 180.

    Edit:

    Ah,got it!

    • Premium=One you bought.

Unique=Gift tank they give us during special events.

The 72 hour period only applies the ones you can buy from the tech tree atm.

But note: There’s a weird grey area for certain gift tanks that become tanks you buy in packages. I’m going to guess for now that all the low tier tanks that you can only buy via packages (e.g. M3 Stuart, T1E6) still count as gift tanks which you can still cover any time, even if you bought them as part of a big package and sold them later.

  4. Yesss, my Tetrarch, only driven it once before I sold it, but I still regret it. Only gift tank I ever sold. Stupid stupid stupid. Hopefully I can get it back when this goes live on EU.

  5. You’ve been able to do this for a long time on the EU server by emailing support. Only took them about 12 hours to restore my beta testers M4 thing. Can’t remember it’s name – fat slow and useless. No wait, that’s what the wife calls me :/

    • Haha. Recovery by email is limited to one tank per account, if my memory doesn’t fail me. For example, i don’t want to use my one time only recovery on a T7 car.
      Though it has maybe changed.

      • Yeah it was/is one time only thing by support email. But that was before htis news, so maybe they will start to let people do it every 180 days now or suffer accusations of discrimination.

  6. If this make it to the EU server, maybe i could get my T7 car back. Sold it but now that it has been buffed, i could be interesting. Very good initiative.
Is the french premium arty (105 leFH18B2) that has been put out of the in game store considered as unique now?

  7. I wonder why that even was an issue.

Once one bought a premium tank, one should be able to sell i for credits and to re-buy it for credits. Just like any other researched tank.

The price in gold would basically just unlock the tank and include its initial purchase.

    • The 72 hour grace period is by design. They don’t want someone using the single restore option to get back the tank they spent $50 on anymore. Your option sounds player-friendly, but it’s not friendly to WG’s bottom line.

  8. Yeah…after I restored my Tetrarch, by using the 1-time restoration procces, they implement this feature, where you can restore any Special tank, no matter when you sold it….cool…

    • Well, it’ll make it’s way over to the EU eventually, hopefully, so what’s the problem? You have your Tetrarch back, and when this makes it over to the EU, you can get any unique tank back :D

  9. I’d love it if this came out on EU (I’m sure it has to we’re all equal aren’t we?). I sold all of the Xmas reward tanks but I kinda regret doing so now because my Ace tanker list has gaps in it.

  10. It seems if you sold a “Special” tank and then rebought it later through one of the gift packs, you can’t use this tool to reimburse gold spent. (i.e. the tank you sold/rebought won’t show up)

At least it was just the M3 Light, so not much spent/lost.

  11. This is great. I had already used my “one time” support ticket to get my beta Sherman back, and now I got my Pz IV/V back, maybe now that I’m not such a scrub, I can make it work.

  12. i could restore:
    RU matilda
    T25
    RAM 2
    TOG II
    T1E6
    T127
    PZ S35
    38H
    Churchill 3

    But this 72H crap :(

  13. Annoyingly, the T7 Combat Car isn’t available from the menu at the moment. Only the T1E6, LTP, M3 LL, B2, KV-5, and KV-220 are available on my end.

Still, glad I can get my KV-220, KV-5, and T1E6 back.
