Hello everyone,

so, 9.0 brought us a ton of bugs – some are very annoying, but some actually look cool. Looks like Wargaming seriously pimped Japanese tanks. They are all very…. blingy :)

Who needs camo, right? Actually it’s a texture bug. It is reported only by some people (not all).

  7. It’s not the only tank that looks strange. Look at Cromwell on the standard render – very “pale” texture contrasting with dark tracks.
    By the way, I followed your advice regarding performance, SS and what I have now is a strange situation where I have around 20FPS REGARDLESS THE DETAILS. The standard renderer option gives me +10FPS, nothing more. I was playing with settings all the day and the results are that it doesn’t matter whether I turn the shadows off or use the maxed out settings. This also applies to the draw distance, textures and everything except postprocessing (this thing slow the framerate to 15FPS)

    • I got about a 5 or so drop with the new settings, took me under 20 which was annoying. Started at max and worked down. Really, very little change for the options under improved, but man, going to standard popped it to 60+. Found a happy medium, higher settings than before, but dropped resolution down one from native (from 2560×1440 to 1900×1080) running mid high 20′s now. Not too bad for a 3 year old all in one.

      • That sucks, Jiri. I tested 9.0 last night after having the game uninstalled for a couple weeks so that it would be a fresh install for the patch. I am getting around 50fps average at full settings @1440p, which even though its not a really high fps, its higher than i was getting in 8.11 :-/

        I would recommend doing a complete wipe of WOT and reinstalling it. Could be there are remnants of the older version fucking with peoples FPS. The only reason why I think this is because in 8.11 I could only get around 30 fps with an FX8350 and an R290 PCS+.

  9. Now that’s an epic glitch…I’ll have to see if I’ve got the bling machines too.

    As for the performance drops….I’m not noticing much of a dropoff (still around 20fps on my laptop, and I can jack up the tank textures to an ok level), but I do kinda wish the tanks didn’t look so much like cheap plastic toys now :(

    • Just thought of something…new limited edition Premium tank, the Chi-Nu Chrome ;)

    • I prefer to have a pink M3 Lee with Stupid middle schooler’s inside.
      Bigots gonna hate.

    • I quite prefer a garishly colored StuG with a fallible war nerd or maybe even a Chi-Nu with bunch of geeks.

  14. Hi mates,
    I had some problems with 9.0 as well.
    When the battle is over, the game somehow freezes (for ~5 min, cpu load 5%, no hdd I/O).
    After that it unfreezes, still on the battlefield, free camera mode, I can press ESC -> Exit to garage. But I get “Connection lost” message and login screen is shown.
    Then it works fine until next battle is over.
    Tried it like 5 times, still the same, then I stopped enjoying it :-(
    Haven’t face this before 9.0. I don’t think it’s related to HW or drivers. Game runs fine…

    Have any of you seen this behavior?

  26. There are more glitches like that, but this is the funniest one! For example… my is7 turned black when i drove through the sunshine :P

  31. Interesting… are this screens from a Windows system? This bug was present in 8.11, but only on linux+wine, and only under certain wine setting, but avoiding it cost fps. If this is from windows than maybe WG will acknowledge this as a proper bug instead of “we dont support linux”.
