Hello everyone,

just in case some of you missed this video series (like I kinda did) – The_Chieftain, US military specialist for Wargaming, visited the American G.I. museum and the re-enactments tied to it. It’s quite interesting, check it out!

  1. Was kinda wondering… Is there any chance they introduce StuG IV in to the game SS ? I know it’s just a StuG on PzIV chassis bu still…

      • Well… that’s the point, Jpants IV and Stug IV share the hull but they’re not equalls, StuG IV had simillar armament to StuG III, it had exactly the same casemate and as such, combat compartment. The armor wasn’t anything better either. It was build only because they couldn’t produce enough StuGsIII because of bombings and made StuG IV because pzIV hulls were available.

        That’s why I’m asking, It would add only to the aestheticall variety but not gameplay. JpantsIV would still be overall better and at tier lower it would be just StuG III clone.

      • Looking at the stats I think the stug iv would be slightly less manouverable than the stug iii but better armour on the casement where the Germans added extra concrete armour. However would it use the 75mm L/48 (which it used in real life) or the L/70? Maybe if was tier 4 the L/48 or tier 5 the L/70. Just a few thoughts as its a tank I really want to see in game.
